This place has some lower mediocre workers at this location during the night time. Was buying two items that came out to $7.82, and was laying with gold dollars,,, but this lower than mediocre worker lady working at quick stop gave me this "total bs excuse" that she couldn't take the gold dollars? Like literally this is US legal money, but she will not accept him and after saying that nobody wants those? As Mrs Lowe than Mediocre worker said that, the person next in line behind me was like "hey I'll take those gold dollars!" ,l(guess people do want these! lol). So I ended up paying for it by my Apple Pay/my phone and traded that person outside. Overall, this lady was a total joke for refusing to take gold dollars. At to think I was thinking about buying some additional items, too, but not when I'm dealing with this type of a joke as a worker that won't accept money. Literally no where I've ever been to has said that they will not take gold dollars. If that's the case, I'll go to the other quick stop, which never had a problem with gold dollars or all the other stores in town (and literally everywhere in the United States). Honestly , a lot of the workers at stores and m tend to trade in their paper money so they can keep the gold dollars. Conclusion is, there are Lower than mediocre workers at their quick stop here! This was my first time in Hollister and I didn't see a lot of the convenience stores I recognized, except for Quik Stop. I know the company mainly because of Kroger and Turkey Hill, toward the East Coast, since the logo is the same on the convenience stores. It's also used on Ralph's filling stations in SoCal. Their diesel fuel is more reliable in my experience than that of Safeway/Vons. Their fuel prices seemed really good, and with the rewards card, you can earn discounts. I wanted to stop today to get a drink before we headed for the skate park. I was glad to see fountain Mountain Dew. The price was reasonable, also. My buddy got a fountain drink also. Everything worked fine and there were straws and lids, although they had not be replaced for a while. At the register, the clerk was friendly and conversational. She gave me a rewards card to register. After paying, we went back to the car, looking for the skate park on the maps and couldn't find it exactly. I returned to the store and asked her, and she was extremely helpful. read more

Quik Stop - the front of a fast food restaurant - Convenience Stores Near Me - Hollister, California

There pumps are holding and locking your credit card. The store clerk told me it could take 5 mins or 3 hours to get your credit card back and didn't seek to close the pump or notify her manager about the problem. She basically didn't care that my card was stuck and mentioned it was happening on at least 2 pumps. I hope Quik Stop keeps this employee so her attitude can damage the business and lose as many customers as possible. Avoid this store at all costs. read more

The employees at this gas station are GHETTO and Unprofessional, very rude and LAZY. I went in to swap out a propane tank, the OGER at the registerer who called herself the manager told me " I cant do that because I dont have my glasses and I cant see" it was not dark, that place is well lit 24-7, she told me she didn't want to go outside and help me. I have gone to this location since it's on my way to work. I often dislike having to get gas so early in the morning, but when I have to, I will go to this location if it's not busy. If I go, there usually aren't very many people waiting. I only seem to get to this location in the morning. Service is OK. Glad to have it. read more

Sells beer until 2am sharp. One of only 3 places in town to do that. Gas is usually cheap as well. There is a black guy who works graveyard here and has been since forever. He's a real nice guy and always has been. He likes to make sure the store stays clean as well. The beer until 2am issue is a strong selling point for this place though. read more

Come here often for coffee during those long work days. The staff are very friendly and happy to see me when I stop by. The coffee is great and is always ready. Gas is also reasonably priced as well. read more
