This might be one of the nicest targets I've been in recently. The store is clean and there were no vagrants living outside. Customer service was outstanding. I purchased a backpack yesterday, realized I didn't need it, and was able to return it today effortlessly without a receipt. All I had to do is insert My credit card and instantly I had a refund. Convenient parking. And they even have electric vehicle charging stations, although they are not electrify america. read more

This Target is the worst Target I have shopped at. It's dirty, the homeless are normally inside and out. The employees are normally all huddled near the customer service desk, they don't rotate the food products on the shelves by taking expired products out of circulation and just placing them back on the shelves. And with Targets new policy of 10 items or less at self checkout, which is fine, they better have more then 2 registers open at 11:30am and not having a cashier picking his nose in front of customers. well how about some good things to say about target. TRuth be told we were coming thru town on Highjway 25 and wanted a clean restroom. Yes its true. We really had no itention of shopping. So she went in and I followed in a few minutes. (after checking in) What a nice store, I was drawn in to the Easter stuff, even thought it is a fefw weeks off. and purchased some darling rabbit figurines (all different too) an I hve to report and ultra cleam, very friendly, and happiness prevails. My neighborhood target gets a three star just for the fact that for a small town and with such high demand on products every time I need something it's either not being sold at the location or is sold out. Many stores including Nob Hill, Safeway, Lucky's and Hollister Super sell products for a much higher price. Target is becoming my preferred store for groceries, clothing, toys for the kids and many other necessities. Also it is closer to my home in Tres Pinos. I may be biased, since I shop here ALL the time and it's pretty much my go-to for errands in town, but today I was blown away by the customer service! Carmen went above and beyond the call of duty after my kiddo faced off with a display unit (Spoiler alert: he lost the fight but was a trooper!) She made sure he got first aid treatment, and as she put it, "left feeling as happy as he came in". I wasn't expecting that in the least, and appreciated the compassion shown. So, add awesome attention to detail and outstanding customer service to the list of pros (clean store, shelves usually well stocked, cashiers on point). read more

How can target not deserve 5-stars?! Well, every time I've come here (at least once a week since September) they have only 2-3 registers open, never an express lane open, and mile-long lines. Simple fix: open some extra registers to settle the influx...right? Wrong. They have yet to do so. About a year ago I came in to pick up my kitty in hollister and had to do a quick target run first . It's crazy hot in the summer and he's blind so I took him inside . Everything was fine and a friendly young target associate even held him for me while I used self check out . Fast forward to yesterday ... I was picking up my new kitten (Tiny , sleepy, and in serious danger if left in the car . I needed 1 bag of cat food that's it . I walked in the store with the little kitten and was stopped by an large man in a mismatched target "uniform " who said "sorry to be the bearer of bad news , no animals . " I tried to explain and ask for help because I only need one item . He then said "no animals only service animals cats are NOT service animals" .(yes many of them are and you are ignorant btw ) but that's aside from the point I didn't claim she was ..meanwhile my docile little kitty is harmlessly sleeping in my arms . I try to explain she's so small I can't even crack the car windows enough to make a difference without risk of her escaping into the road please let me get her some food and I'll go . They aren't enforcing mask wearing in this store and it made us feel really uncomfortable. They have a security guard stationed by the door whose job is literally to require people to put a mask on as they enter the store and provide one to those who don't have their own but we watched several several groups of people walk right past without masks on and proceed to wander around the store breathing their uneducated and likely unvaccinated air on everyone. RIP Target Garden Center. I will miss you. I cherished the unique Christmas tree I got from you one year, and I loved the Sean Connely line of plants and garden accessories. You were always more pleasant to enter then the main entrance, with aromas of the public bathrooms and hot dogs. I hear instead you will be replaced by an expanded food section. Is that necessary? You share a parking lot with Nob Hill. I guess I will have to wait for the Wholesale Nursery to open up to look for plants near me. FYI this Target carries a limited supply of items. I generally enjoy this store when I go in. They usually have what I want, the store is a decent size, the employees are reasonably helpful. I like the dollar section. I came in to get my booster shot at the pharmacy. A lady named Holly was very rude and gave me attitude from the start. She denied that I made an appointment despite me offering to show my confirmation email. She questioned my two CVS accounts despite my explaining that I have two accounts because I attend school in another state. I understand that things are hectic, but it is no reason for her or other staff members to be continually rude and give attitude to customers. Do not recommend target pharmacy. read more

I'm from SoCal... came here to visit my boyfriend and decided to stop by this Target to pick up a few things. Let me start off by saying that I'm a manager at a retail store, and if my store EVER looked like this, I would be fired in a heart beat! If there was a zero star rating I would give them that! First impression when I walked in was: "are they going out of business?" Their dollar sections were so empty it was just pitiful to look at. Not very smart to have empty shelves/racks right at the front door since that's the thing customers see when we walk in. Their kids department was the 2nd thing I saw and the displays that were facing the front were pretty empty too. I walked to the women's department to get a t-shirt and the selections were alright.... but again, not well stocked at all. Then I walked by this endcap of hair products that was having a promotion of "buy any shampoo/conditioner/hair styling product of herbal essence and get a travel size dry shampoo for free," i picked up a bottle of shampoo from there and I was immediately disgusted by how much dust it had on the items and the display boxes. I knew that this shampoo only came out in the 2nd week of January 2014, for something to get THAT dusty in just a few weeks was just beyond me. Those same hair products didn't have sale tags on their regular shelves like they did on the endcap, so it was confusing, not to mention there were lots of products in the wrong spots! Luckily I work retail and know how to read shelf labels and UPC's. Then I went to the facial care section because I forgot to pack my face cream. The facing/straightening there was better than the hair care section. But they seriously need to carry a duster with them when they work on the sales floor. I opened a box of L'Oreal Youth Code and there were dust on the bottle itself... which was inside the box! I finally made my way to the registers, they were busy and had 6 registers opened, but 2 of them didn't have the lights on, customers didn't even know that they were open. I went up to one of them and asked "are you open?" They cashier said "uh huh." I went on and said "oh I wasn't sure because your light is off. :)" I thought he would apologize and flip the light on since I gave him the hint, but he just simply shrugged his shoulders and started scanning. That just showed me how much he didn't give a crap. He did try to carry on a light conversation with me, but by that time I had already given up on them. My overall experience of this shopping trip was extremely unpleasant. Poor management + less than engaged employees = failure of business. Next time i come to visit my boyfriend I will make sure to pack everything, so I don't have to come back to this store again! read more

This is specific to the pharmacy. Several times with a new prescription, I've gone to pick it up, and they are never ready. The shelves are overflowing with repeats (I guess), but mine will be "15-20 minutes". This was a pre-packaged product. All they had to do was stick a label on it. Too bad, I had to leave and come back. I won't go there again. I'll try another target, then I'll go elsewhere. read more

Stay away from the produce! I have tried to shop there twice in the last month and both times I visited the store I found expired fruits and veggies. I was in Target store and I noticed that they finally had the squeeze guards up. The thing is if you are short and squeeze/cough facing the cashier it will go straight on that cashier. There is an opening exposing that cashier potentially getting sick. It defeats the purpose. There should have something better then what they have. If you walk into Safeway their squeeze guard are one solid piece of plexiglas covering the cashier, protecting them from getting sick. Target makes a lot of money and this is what the employees are given. I do like shopping at Target, but I can't help but think how they are risking the cashiers health...safety...6ft distancing. And this is what they are giving...its a slap in the face. I for one have an issue with this if I worked there. I feel so bad for the employees. read more

The only reason I gave this sh__hole a star is that zero stars isn't an option. Our TV burned out a week ago, leaving us without a major source of entertainment during this outbreak. Bought one from Target online. It arrived yesterday with a broken screen. Brought it here to return and see if I could find a suitable replacement in the store. Was told they're not accepting returns until April 17. I'm not trying to return perishables or a bunch of toilet paper that I overbought. So now I'm out $330 and without a TV until the end of the month. Lovely. Thanks a lot Target. Won't be spending any more money here. read more

Staff is always super friendly and helpful, no matter how many times I call. Some of the complaints I see on here are ridiculous, like the one about service dogs. People need them for all sorts of reasons and for someone to complain about one is really ignorant and inconsiderate. Mind your business and do your shopping. As for my experience today, I had an issue with my drive up order and had to call to get help. Max answered, was super nice and helpful, he got my stuff himself to have it ready to be picked up. Thought it was gonna be so much harder to resolve my issue but he fixed it within a couple minutes. Love employees like Max! read more

This is a badly run store. I love Target and often go to Salinas Marina Watsonville and Gilroy stores, but this is the worst. Be prepared to spend half of your entire time in the store waiting in line. There are plenty of workers but management has them restocking. The employees are friendly, but slow and often heard complaining about working so much. The grand finale for me was today, after waiting over 15 minutes in line, to find out the popcorn machine is broken and has been broken for a long time. I believe it's time for my love affair with Target to end and I can find what I need at other places. If you have an option - go somewhere else! read more

But I would rather not shop at a place where I can be racially profiled by employees (followed, and then watched excessively at the self checkout) from the moment i walk in to the moment I leave. Yup! Like the other reviewer said, hollisters mall. We go here just to walk around when we have nothing else to do. Especially in the summer, cuz we have no AC. Besides all that, they always have what we need and more! They could have a few more registers open, but they do a pretty good job making the lines go fast. Love target! In general, worst customer service and slowest cashiers I've ever seen. The entire store is ran by young adults (early - mid 20's). It's become routine to go shopping there and wait in a long line and only 1 cashier, except for thanksgiving/ Christmas. None of the employees ever ask if they can help with anything and I don't think they are trained on bagging. They mix refrigerated items with non-refrigerated. They overly pack bags assuming the patron doesn't want to buy more bags and they bag so slow. Occasionally, I do get a good cashier, though. Not many stores in Hollister so pretty much stuck going there for some items. read more

My first horrible experience at Target was when $110 worth of items was stolen from underneath my shopping cart when I was getting my BABIES in the car. Target said, due to policy of the items being already outside the store, there was "nothing they could do to help".. even though we were RIGHT UNDER THE CAMERA. They "didn't have the manpower to look into it". Wow. Nice. Second stupid experience was today. I wasn't able to return and repurchase a TV that I bought, which I wanted to do because I had originally left my Target Red Debit card at home (to get the 5% off). I had come back an hour later with my debit Red card. It was the last tv. So I didn't want to wait to buy it. The 'new girl' at customer service told me I had to wait a full 24 hours for the purchase to clear first. I asked her to double check that answer, but she was alone, and she said she was certain. So what do I do? Come back 24 hours later to be told they can't do that. It's policy. Must be done same day. F*** you target in Hollister, and your BS "policies". Think about the customer for once.. won't you? What a concept. read more

Great store! Usually always had plenty of employees working to help if needed. I always shop at targets. They are so much better to spend time in then a Walmart or a k-mart.. That is for sure. Extremely poor customer service today while at the store. Reported this up to Target's HQ today. Paul who was at their store in charge of the HR dept. claimed himself as the store manager. After advising that we are going to report this issue to Target's HQ he then corrected himself stating he's not the store manager but works in HR We wanted take take advantage of the but 50.00 or more get a 20% discount card for your next purchase. After purchasing over 160.00 we decided to return at lease 60.00 worth and re-purchase to take advantage of the 20%. Paul stayed we can return it and they put the product back on the shelf and we would have to go back to the shelf where the merchandise are to re-pick and then bring it back up to the cash register. After we advised why he is having us to do this, he stated it was the store policy. Asking him to show the policy he obviously couldn't find it after telling us it's online. After refunding is our money, we then asked him if he can re-our the product in the shelf so we can re-purchase, he advised that it's not his job and he's not going to do it for us. Asking if he can another employee do this he advised they don't have the time for that. Disappointed and frustrated as we and my family was with me as well as my children who were saying why is this man behaving like this with us, we decided to leave the store. After arriving home 5minutes later, he contacted Target's HQ and they advised us that this was not their policy and extremely disappointed how Paul treated us in the store. The thing that concerns me the most is Paul misrepresenting himself as the store manager and then changing his storing regarding his title is extremely distrustful and definitely not showing his trustworthiness to Target's values. An employee who definitely should not be part of the Target's values. I wonder how many more times he has misrepresented himself. read more

Best customer service ever provided by Isaiah in the Electronics department! I called in searching for a very in-demand item and he was kind enough to do a physical check to verify that it was indeed in stock and on-hand. I really appreciate the fact that Isaiah was more than happy to suggest placing the item on hold for me, since I would be travelling an hour to arrive to the Hollister Target. This might not seem like a big deal, but I had actually been told that I could not put items on hold at various other Target locations (when clearly it was possible). In the end, while I had to travel farther thanks to the disappointing customer service of employees at Target locations closer to my home, I am thankful to have had the opportunity to meet and have been helped by the awesome Isaiah! read more
