I'm extremely disappointed with Walgreens' photo/card service. This is now the second time I've been let down. The first was when my Christmas cards were not delivered on time, and now this latest issue involved a same-day personalized 24th anniversary card. I was away for the weekend celebrating my anniversary, so I asked my daughter to pick up the card for me. She went in the same day, but staff told her there was a problem with their printer. They said they would call once it was resolved, but no one ever followed up. When we returned home Monday, my daughter had already gone to school. Since Walgreens never contacted us, she later stopped by again to pick up the card. Unfortunately, it still was not ready. This time, she was told I needed to select a different size. She relayed that message to me, but when I went online, there was no option available to choose a different size. As a result, I had to make a card myself on regular paper, which was far less special than what I had originally ordered. After 20 years of using Walgreens for printing services, it is disappointing to see such a decline in reliability and customer service. read more

I go on Saturday they tell me they can't fill the prescription because they need to order it. To come back Monday. I go on Monday they forgot about it so they said come back at 3pm. I go back at 3pm they say it's still not there. They blow up my phone at almost 5pm asking me to ask the doctor to change the dosage because the one they ordered is too high of a dosage. I ask them, why told you order a higher dosage vs what is on the prescription???? They try to tell me oh no that's how it comes bla bla that this exact dosage doesn't exist.... I am like ok so you're saying the doctor is wrong ? Why would I have to call the doctor and instruct them to change the dosage??? That is insane! I have never heard of something like this. What a waste of time! I had the prescription transferred to CVS and they literally filled it with no problem in 20min .... Meanwhile this Pharmacy tried to make it seem like it wasn't them who ordered the wrong pills..... come on now. First and last time going to this pharmacy. read more

I had a very upsetting experience with the pharmacy at this location today. My husband went to pick up a prescription and was asked if they should use the card on file and he said yes without being told or checking the cost. The cost was over $1400 and he would have never made the purchase had he known. When he got home, I called the pharmacy to see why this happened and talked they asked me to call later to talk to the manager. I called again and talked to Julie who was very rude, disrespectful and a liar. She claims that 3 different people talked to my husband about the cost (not true, he talked to one man) and told me she would show me phone logs to prove it. At the end of the call, I asked her for the logs and she said it would be too difficult to get them. Do not come here unless you are ok with having to come back and forth multiple times. My husband was discharge from the hospital at 830. And prescription was sent. I realize even before going that the name spelling of my husbands first name was wrong. So I called the hospital before going to let them know and they resent it at 11am I went to Walgreens at 1130am and let them know that they have two separate prescriptions for the same person just name spelling was corrected. They said they just need to transfer it to the correct name and come back after their lunch at 230pm. I came in at 4pm and guess what she said it still needs to be transferred to the correct name. And to come back before they close or they can text me when it's ready. 1) shouldn't you offer this in the first place so we don't come back until it's done 2) what takes so long to transfer the name of medication if everything else is the same... Horrible customer service. When you call in someone will allow the phone to ring over and over and once they pick up they state they are putting you on hold before getting a word in. I was on hold multiple times for over a half hour when an employee answered and asked me what was needed. I stated a pharmacist and was placed on hold yet again with no answer. Move your pharmacy right away do not go to the pharmacy. They are the absolute worst. They never fill your prescription on time they make you wait in a 30 minute drive up line to tell you to come back in 15 minutes to get your prescription when the day before they told you it would be filled. I have never experienced such horrible customer service. No wonder this location has two stars. I am changing my pharmacy to CVS on first Street everyone else should as well. You can call to get your medication's refilled. They will tell you it'll be done tomorrow by 11 AM. The automated service will call your phone and tell you that the prescription has been filled and is ready. You can drive half an hour to get there and then wait in their drive-through for half an hour just to find out that it has NOT in fact been filled. EVERY TIME?!! . I think it's a game they play. I think I've heard people crouching behind the counter giggling at me. read more

This place is ALWAYS understaffed. The pharmacy is so poorly managed it is painful to go in I started using the drive through which is now taking about 10 minutes per car. She chatted with me via phone several times to problem solve a prescription I needed since I am sick and need it soon. I am so thankful since I could have had to drive 1+ hours to get my medication. My first review on Yelp. Terrible pharmacy. Understaffed, long waits. Cars back up in drive through. Don't try to call either to talk to a pharmacist. The message will say how many calls ahead of you, and when you think it's your turn it rings then hangs up on you. I'm sure other callers before me just got tired of waiting. I hate leaving bad reviews but wow this place deserves it. I came to get covid tests and it took forever at the pharmacy and had to get back in line after they had me get them from the front because they didn't have any in the back. But what was most disappointing was that no one made eye contact while I waited for someone (anyone!) To help or acknowledge I was even there. Two of them were having a personal conversation and then answered the phone and helped someone else all while I stood there waiting. Then a certain one was super rude. I've been a Walgreens customer for about 15 years. They used to do a great job but I've notice a decline in customer service lately. Long lines and rude behavior from some employees in the pharmacy. They can't seem to figure out the scheduling of prescriptions. Several times I've gotten a text message stating my prescription is ready but when I go there it isn't. I have to come back in an hour. If you don't call about your prescription it will sit under in progress for days! And lines are always long in store and drive through especially. I'm so disappointed in Walgreens. I try and use the app to reorder my medication and it never works. Then I have to call to order it and it thinks I already ordered it. I've given written feedback on the issue 4 times but never hear a thing and it never gets better. I hate going in to pick up my meds as the line is so long. They offer a same day delivery, which was great i got my item within one hr. However, the item I bought was a humidifier and when I took it out of the box, it was wet, which is gross because I got a returned item that I paid full price for, and most of all it could be CONTAMINATED. The store should have checked the returned item first before putting it back on the shelf, and humidifier should not be resold again, because it can be contaminated, GROSS! read more

We spoke on the phone at least 3x working to get my order to go through and then later to deal with printer ink problems. Pharmacy staff are unprofessional. Went in and asked for replacement vaccine cards before leaving on vacation out of state. First lady started the process and passed it to someone else who could not find the proper info. ( Which was fine) However, the first lady that was helping tells another lady " we don't get paid to do this" with another employee responding with " oh I know". This seemed a little strange because I called ahead of time to confirm this is something they in fact do get paid to do. As a long-time customer of your Gilroy store... I had a very unpleasant interaction with Christopher. As a follow up I received a phone call from Joshua store manager... Although I was very upset with the situation with Christopher, I had a great phone conversation as well as a personal conversation in the store with Joshua today. I wanted to acknowledge Joshua, he is outstanding and deserves to be a store manager. He was very professional and I appreciate his follow through very much. If you could get Christopher to step it up and be as good as Joshua you guys will be set. Once again kudos to Joshua for just being an amazing retail manager! (Pharmacy Review) I've been with them for many years and can tell you that things have gotten very bad with regard to wait times (on-hole and drive-up), professionalism, customer courtesy, and getting the medications ready on time. This is by far the worst pharmacy I have dealt with. I have been trying to call them for several days now and they do not answer. They pick up the phone don't even say can you please hold anything they pick it up and place me right on hold. And it's not just for a monitors it's for 20 plus minutes. I regret doing business with them every time. But this time I've learned. I will never come back to this locations pharmacy again. If they ever answer it's the worst customer service, the pharmacist even hung up on me when they finally did answer once. Pharmacists were not helpful as I was required to provide two negative covid tests to a private institution I'm visiting this week. They denied me the second test without much explanation, stating that they "just won't do it because insurance requires me to pay" which I said that was fine, I was prepared to pay for the second test. They made me wait 30+ minutes in the parking lot just to end up calling me to fill out a testing requirements form over the phone. After completing it, the pharmacist was extremely condescending in explaining to me reasons why she wouldn't not perform it. And added a "I hope you find somewhere else that is willing". Like, if you weren't going to do it, don't waste my time telling me to wait pending your "resources" approval. Made zero sense as other people attending the same institution faced zero problems in this process. read more

My wife and I have been going to this pharmacy for almost two years. And for most of that time they were great. That is until now when they decided since we maintain two addresses in two different cities they refused to fill our prescriptions anymore. The last time they filled our scripts they held them for two weeks while requesting privileged information from our doctors that violated hipaa as it included all of our treatment notes. So we went without the treatment the Dr ordered because all of the sudden they needed an insane amount of information and didn't like us having two addresses. I do not recommend this pharmacy. And I will never go there again. If you need life sustaining meds this pharmacy does not care at all. read more

Visited Walgreens this evening to have photos printed. I must say that I had a very positive experience while there. Every member of the staff greeted me nicely and seemed to really like working there, no one was rude or miserable looking, that's always a plus! Lol I was assisted in the photo department by Laura who was fast, personable and went above & beyond. She was friendly and likable! :) Upon checking out I chatted with the manager who shared with me the different charities that Walgreens supports which was really cool. Major kudos to Walgreens in Gilroy and their kind employees! I'll be shopping there again for sure! :) read more

I'm a huuge fan of all Walgreens! I preferred it over Longs (which is now CVS) and I think I still do. So what if CVS have their fancy coupon machine, etc? I rely Walgreens more with my drugs haha. This one in Gilroy is particularly nice: it's new and very clean, the pharmacy is quick and very helpful (not to mention a cute worker I saw today :P), and it's pretty huge (from what I can tell, it has everything)! I live in Gilroy and have used this store, CVS and Rite Aide. This store is far better than the others. First of all the Pharmacist takes time to get to know you and they are very friendly and helpful. The store has a huge line of cosmetics, well stocked and every shade. I thought I'd find more cosmetic selections and better prices at WalMart, but WalMart's cosmetics shelves are a mess & always out of stock. There is also an indoors Red Box for movies at the front of the store and it's much easier to park and pop into this store for a movie. Try this store, you won't be disappointed read more

Their hours and location make for a good pharmacy choice here in Gilroy. They carry an impressive amount of kids' medication, which is great when we are in a bind with a sick kid. I wouldn't shop here - typical drug store expensive. Stick with Target or Walmart (ew) for household needs. However, if you sign up for their rewards card *free the sale items aren't too bad. read more
