I usually have a good experience with Targets, this was my first time ordering to this one. I needed some urgent unexpected feminine products.... Had two sleeping kids in the car and ordered for curbside pickup. When I arrived and marked myself as "here" on the app I got a notice apologizing and saying curbside pickup is no longer available at this time and to either come in or try again later. I had to wake up my two year old and sleeping infant to bring them inside to get my order. Great. Both kids crying but what do you do... I can't leave them in the car. I get inside, and it's dead quiet. There's three employees just socializing at the pickup counter and Atleast one was wearing a neon colored vest (assuming they were the curbside employee?) Anyway. I don't use curbside pickup because I'm lazy. I use it because I have two little kids. I'll probably just order elsewhere next time I'm here and in need of something. read more

IN STORE PICKUP! I can't emphasis this enough because if all you read is me shouting "in store pickup" than my review is already helpful. So allow me to elaborate, if you look up pricing on target.com you will see most items are priced at HALF price posted in the store. When I stopped into this location I quickly noticed the price dispensary. Lately I have found myself coming to target because of their great exclusive colored vinyl records - so I was able to get; Nirvana unplugged (on purple vinyl) and the 2 LP soundtrack to Almost famous (one of my favorite movies ) both were cheaper with in store pickup, and a couple of hours later they were ready for pickup. The entire process was so simple, and if I can save money in the process than that's great! Helpful tip; if you're in a rush store pickup is great otherwise you may find yourself paying inflated prices. So do in store pickup and you'll thank me later. read more

What happened to the good old Target from years ago? There is never any employees around to assist finding something, let alone more then one register (if you're lucky) open during peak times. Bathrooms are absolutely filthy....shit on floors and goodness knows what else. Bathrooms should be upkept but are rarely looked at. They have one poor employee running both self checkout and a register, only one person working in the tech section that can hardly ever be found. And now they locked up toothpaste and body wash and laundry detergent?! Customers shouldn't have to wait 10+ minutes just for them to unlock a cabinet so you can buy $5 toothpaste. read more

2 stars for the cleanliness. That's it. Every time I've went inside this store, most of the employees have a caca attitude. If you ask them for help, they will, but grudgingly. They will barely make eye contact let alone say hello how are you. lol. It's always a ghost town too. Barely any customers or employees o_O Lastly, a lot of items have been put behind a plastic case and you'll need to flag someone down to open it. Just to open it. Who would have thought at target in Gilroy at 12 o'clock that you would have about 30 people in line and only 2 cashiers. Employees talking by beauty, 3 cart attendants talking talking by the carts. No sense of urgency to open any lanes, no managers visible, no apologies for the lines or to tell the customers help was on the way. My wife asked an employee by the self checkout Trish if she could call for help. She snapped back very rudely and loud that she did all ready! One cashier came up but didn't take the next in line and just turned on her light. We've been coming here since the lines at Walmart are so long. Guess we'll try Walmart again. Just went to target to get a couple of things. I got 16 items. They changed the self check out to 10 items and under and somebody was enforcing the counting. The only person open was checking out one person and had one other person in front of me. It was taking a very long time for them to check out the two guests in front of me so I reduced my items to 10 items. I went over to the self check out and try to check out which included some cold medicine and it said I needed to get store approval for the cold medicine, but there was nobody coming. All in all I waited about nine minutes, and there was no employee in sight to approve the cold medicine. I had to leave my entire cart because I had to get my kid from school. Very disappointed. I would've hope that they had a better system if they are changing the policy on self check out but I will definitely be reconsidering next time I need to run to target for something quick. Overall clean store and employees interact with customers, which is sadly lacking in other target stores. LOD (Leader on Duty) Charles constantly does his rounds throughout the building and seems to have good rapport with the other employees, and by this, it makes it a more pleasant experience whilst shopping. One thing this target lacks, however is an expanded food section supplied with more grocery items and fresh produce. Otherwise, most items are well stocked and popular sizes are, for the most part, readily available. read more

Because I have an incredibly busy schedule, I would first look for an item using the Target app on my phone to check if it is in stock and available for pick up at this location before I drive and head over to the Guest Services section to pick up my order. Ideally, it will be a quick in-and-out errand. So yes, the app would indicate that an item is indeed available for pick up at this store, so I go ahead and add it to my cart along with my other shopping items, then I check out, and choose the Store Pick Up option. Shortly thereafter, I receive a notification email that my order is ready for pick up. When I get to the store, I would find out that one item is out of stock! Wow. How disappointing! I suspect they don't update their inventory often enough. On the bright side, the team members are nice, friendly, and apologetic. And also, they did have some pints of the limited edition Museum of Ice Cream flavors that I ended up buying up to make myself feel better about my out-of-stock item. read more

This is our go to Target whenever we are in Gilroy. We drop by to pick up stuff we forgot to pack. Staff is friendly. They actually go up and ask if you need help. Inventory could be stocked more often. I was looking for some eye drops and the shelves were almost empty. For some reason, this Target is always like a ghost town. I made yet another trip for after Christmas storage bins to store all the new toys we got from all our friends and family. I picked up a few of the $6 storage bins they had on sale and then found a $12 storage bin which would fit my Christmas wreaths. They only had 1 lane open when I was walking up to the registers, but once I got close, they quickly opened up 2 more lanes which made it much quicker. I had to write this review after an incident that I witnessed today at the service desk. This review isn't for the employee who had to deal with this ridiculous customer, but for the male "manager" who showed up to assist. I should mention that while I was witnessing this interaction, there was a pre-recorded message playing over the store speaker that said something along the lines of "Masks are required...if you prefer not to wear a mask, we invite you to choose one of our contactless options. The health and safety of our guests is our top priority!" A woman walked in (without a mask) with some items to return. The service desk clerk politely asked if she had a mask, so the woman turned around and grabbed one that the store provides. She proceeded to put it on, and then quickly removed it, stating that she knows that the employees can't force her to wear a mask. She then asked for the manager, to "force" them to physically remove her from the store. The employee asked her if that was really necessary, as she could be done with her return in a shorter amount of time than all of that would have taken, and that it seemed pretty excessive. She demanded. A male "manager" (not sure what his exact title is because he wasn't in typical Target employee garb) came up and asked the employee if she felt comfortable helping the woman. The employee said no, so she was told to leave the scene, and another employee was called over to help. The woman was not told to wear a mask, but was in fact told that she didn't have to wear one, and that no one could force her. What happened to "the health and safety of our guests is our top priority"? Seems that money is more of their driving force, not safety. If so, they'd be following the countywide mask mandates, which include the large signs you walk by as you enter the store. Instead, they made the employee look bad for following protocol. Reading through some of the other reviews for this location, it's obvious this isn't a first time offense with this topic. Very poor taste, Target. Do better. read more

I go here very often. The aisles are always clean, the selection is great, and prices are low. The employees are very helpful. They even helped us look in the parking lot when my husband lost his wallet! I wish there were more cashiers though; the last few times I went here, there were 8 people in line and one cashier. read more

The managers and employees need to be educated on the cat & jack return policy. I went to return some items and the rep was very nice and tried but it wasnt finding my item even after scanning my target wallet so he called over his manager, i believe his name started with a M he was younger and it was in the evening. He said the return policy changed to 90 days at the beginning of the year. I was very confused because i just did a return last week. He just kept saying sorry and that is the policy. I looked it up online and everything i saw still said 365 days...so i went back and showed him and he said it needs to be target.com so i asked him to show me were it says 90 days??? Of course he said honestly i have no idea. You might want to go to the store that was able to do it. First off you cant just make up things. I dont think he knew what he was doing. He left then a red headed guy said thats what his district manager told them and diffrent stores have different policys. He gave me the number to customer relations to swe what they say so i called them and long behold it is 364 days and nothing has changed, he said theres not different policys per store.... bottom line train ypur managers and stafd theres just a bunch of kids working there that have no clue. read more

So I went to do a return at this store and was helped by a person by the name of Nick, to do a return and we had everything on our debit card he asked us it wasn't a good time to do it and also if we returned it without receipt that it was going to look sketchy. At the time we were not doing anything wrong we were just trying to do a return because we forgot our receipts and target can look up purchase by debit use. Which we had, present. As for a customer service representative, this gentleman was being rude in all aspects. We left the store and drove hour round trip to get our receipts to show that we weren't being sketchy. I went into the store to get a couple items for my trip home. I am glad after visiting this is not my store. Every employee seems like it's a chore to be there. They are not friendly, everyone I passed I would say hi to them with no response back. I can understand at 9:30 in the morning you are not awake yet but it doesn't take much effort to say hi to people. There were 2 employees working on a display and had a cart in the isle and they acted like no one was there. When I went to checkout I went to the self check. I looked right at the guy working it and said hi, I know he heard me because he was starring right at me. He gave no response, he just stood there staring at me. "There's nothing like long romantic walks...down every aisle at Target." Whoever said that totally gets me. I have intentions to come in for one or two things I need and unintentionally leave with 5-10 things I want, always. The store is adequately stocked and clean. The customer service is consistent and checking out is easy minus a wait here and there. (It would be nice if they had self-check out, but who am I to say.) This location did upgraded their snack area to a Starbucks which is a definite plus! Parking is plentiful and also located near other stores like Ross, Michael's and Bed Bath and Beyond. I love target. Always use my red card and cartwheel when applicable. This target is nice and tidy and they have some great items on clearance. I go here for household needs, clothing, furniture, etc. I wish it were a super target since I live way out near the hills, there are no grocery stores nearby other than Walmart which I avoid at all costs. Came here after having dinner, and I was hunting for my sweats again! Finally somebody here in target working in the Men's department clothes knew what she was doing and answered my question that I have been trying to find out after several Targets! I was hunting down Hanes Premium Sweats and sweatshirts. So she told me that it was seasonal and won't have any until December again. Overall, the store was very clean and things were tighty. I do love this store for there cute home goods, holiday decor and basic clothes/scarfs/wallets, etc but I have a problem with their lack of make-up inventory. This Target is "fine" (like the vague adjective?). The problem is in comparing it to the grocery Target 10 minutes away in Morgan Hill... This location then doesn't stand a chance. However, Target isn't about groceries SO 4 stars must be fairly given. 1 star off because the set-up, entrance/exits and parking of the whole shopping center was a sad, sad mistake. But that's not Target's fault. For me the negatives at this location are: the lack of clearance items and the small grocery (particularly frozen/dairy) selection. Basics are all covered well: clean, spacious, organized, nice employees. They also have extra good holiday decor displays at this store - there are always a lot of good seasonal items. read more

Are all Targets created equal? Probably not, this one is not the biggest one i've been in nor is it the smallest. I think this Target just does what it does, I've gotten some random deals on food items and I always look here if I'm going to buy some shorts. I feel like their mens section is a lot smaller than their womens but most of the time I find something I like. I wish Target was open later but I think the fact that it closes early helps to keep it classier than wal-mart which is for sure a positive! read more

Very dissapointed to have received poor customer service yesterday in the customer service department no less. When trying to inquire if I could exchange or get help with some merchandise I had bought a few days earlier the customer service employee had a very bad attitude and kept insisting I didn't buy my merchandise there. I was quite annoyed because she was practically calling me a liar, however the store manager, Nancy was very helpful and directed me to Ricardo in electronics who also helped me with his knowlege of the games I had. When I followed up again with Nancy she assured me they had discussed with the employee how better to handle these situations in the future and was willing to accomadate me with my merchandise, if I still needed. This would have been a bad review based on an experience with the customer service employee yesterday. However because Ricardo in the electronics dept took the time to listen to my problem and Nancy the manager was very understanding and accomadating, its not. :) Word of advice, if you work in customer service dont be rude and have attitude, if a customer tells you something and you don't agree with them there are better ways to go about it. When you are not giving very good customer service you are putting off a reflection of yourself and the bad mood you are in. If you dont like your job, dont do it. You are doing a diservice to yourself and to the customers. read more

Very bad experience today. Typically targets are good and have their people properly trained. There was a sale and I have a coupon which made it free where I just pay taxes and cashie who did not give her name and had her manager come to us Richard who read the coupon and didn't even know what he was doing . Then told her to scan and it worked. Coupons would not work if it is not valid. Needless to say it stopped the line and drew a commotion where I was extreme embarrassed that I had to explain myself to use the coupon. Stay away. I filled out the survey and will be calling corporate . They need to give proper training to their employees. read more

Sad to say, customer service has not improved at all at this location. If you read the most recent reviews, the last 8 all complained of poor service. Yes, the store seems clean. However, on a crowded Saturday morning one poor trainee paired with one coach was manning a register with 6-8 carts backed up at a time. The self-service lines were full too. Some of us had liquor or a question on a price and couldn't use self-service. There were 11 closed registers. Customers started to complain and eventually 3 employees rushed to registers. I had already waited 25 minutes, and all of the customers behind me were taken care of, while the line I was in was stalled. I walked out and will be careful to never shop at this Target again. read more
