Always a good stop! The strawberry and cream matcha is delicious! Not too sweet but so so good! The people are always nice and the shop has everything you could want! The ambiance is soo cool. Clean, airy tulum vibes.

Good stop along the 395 for some warm food, but their meat ratio in their breakfast burrito is pretty lacking. Tastewise, it's as expected and good but pretty disappointed that it was mostly eggs, potatoes, and a small handful or two of bacon.

It's a small market/taco shop. They have snacks drinks pan dulce and assorted goods. We got some food. I got the plant based taco trio. My favorite was the "carne asada". They had no vegetarian rice but I just gave the rice to my son. He got a quesadilla and enjoyed that.

Our third visit and the food was fantastic again. I get the plant based tacos and my husband switches off with the bean burrito. There's a lot of food and the service is fast enough. Everyone is friendly and there's a small patio but I like to take it to go a find a scenic spot. The vanilla matcha is great iced or hot. I like it because is not sweet and the matcha flavor comes through. I always end up picking up some fruit but they have desserts in the cold cases. Cheers!

This place is very interesting. Semi market, semi eatery and part bar also. The ordering area looks like a reception desk at a hotel while the restroom is one of the nicest restrooms I've ever been in as far as a burrito shop goes lol. Their market has various Mexican items and things like chips, drinks, fruits and veggies. We ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito. It was very big and filling and very tasty, the spicy salsa sauce has a bit of a kick to it but not too spicy. The outdoor seating with benches were nice to have and it looks like it can turn into a bar hangout at night time. The staff was nice and efficient with their food.

Parked at the Tesla supercharger and needed to eat and burn some time. Walked into this place and was SO surprised. On top of being an elevated Mexican style grocery, there is an incredible hot food menu from their kitchen. The chorizo quesadilla was HUGE and super generous! The New York slice of quesadillas! The interior and exterior patio were super well executed contemporary concept. Even the bathrooms were dope! Enjoyed eating and hanging out here! Highly recommend.

Weird place. Concept store that has groceries, food, drinks, open kitchen, etc... I like the idea, it feels very bougie, but I came here for the breakfast burrito. I gotta say, the tortilla was really good, the filling was FULL. You will get your money's worth. I also think that, quality wise, it was decent. Their mild salsa is too mild and their spicy is too spicy... very good, but spicy.

You can't do much better in Bishop. This is a nice choice with solid Mexican food. Good salsa. Reasonable prices. The patio area was shaded and pleasant even though it was 90 degrees. Can't say how it would be later in the day when it's in the triple digits! read more

Place is great and uniquely Bishop. Family owned and I've been there 20 times at least and every single time I am greeted as I enter. Easy to do but so uncommon unfortunately. Fast clean service and reliable Mexican food every time. Not quite San Diego Mexican food but better than anything else around, especially for easy to go food. read more

Been going here for years....never had a bad experience before until today. Spent around $100 in there just to receive cold food... Cold elote. Mangoneadas were on point. Had to produce receipt to them to receive the food that they were forgetting to give me. Maybe they were busy or just lazy. Either way wont be going back for a while. Very disappointed read more

Stop by Mercado Mexico on my way to Lake Tahoe because of all the rave reviews about the food. I was a bit disappointed with their street tacos and salsa. Salsa was not flavorful and all watery. Plant based tacos was also not so tasty. I would not go back to this place again. read more

This is the best place in town! I travel through bishop often and this is definitely the place to stop if you're looking for fresh produce or to grab a quick bite of some tasty authentic Mexican food. The menu has a wide range of food and the best carne Asada burrito I've ever had! read more

I had the cueritos and mangonada. There was a crow cawing at us. I named him Daniel Nakayama and his back story is mysterious. I only know that Daniel was a "Operator Analyst" from Dublin, CA. I was so excited about this place and was very disappointed. The tripa tacos were so stale I couldn't chew it. The tortas were ok but definitely not worth the price and the pan dulce was also stale and dry. So sad it was not good. read more

I was so happy to find Mercado Mexico in Bishop! My husband and I were in town for a quick snowboarding trip, and we were starving after a freezing cold day on the slopes. We're both really picky when it comes to Mexican food. This place was so good, I felt right at home! Super fresh and flavorful carne asada, and the mulitas were some of the best I've ever had. The staff was so friendly and their spot is so clean and cute. I can't wait to come back. read more

Off the main drag in Bishop, give this place a try if you want great Mexican food. The menu is not extensive... Had the adovada burrito and it was outstanding. Almost passed it up because the market part of it threw me off. So glad we didn't! read more
