Fajitas - carne asada
Richie F.

Good Mexican spot in Bishop. Great portions sizes and nice service. It's far from the best Mexican food you can find but it is in the middle of Bishop. The food is hot and nice after a day in the wilderness - but it isn't somewhere I'd come again.

MUST ORDER! Camarones a la Diablo
Shira M.

BEST MEXICAN FOOD OUTSIDE OF MEXICO!!!! The flavors! Her beans and rice are the best I've ever had. The shrimp Al Diablo is made from chilis grown and roasted on the owner's brother's farm in New Mexico. It is spicy with almost a sweet roasted flavor. Every bite will make you sigh with pleasure. The Chile Riano has a very thin badder and is covered in a tomato onion light red sauce. The pork tamale was so moist with AGAIN FLAVOR! Her food has the perfect amount of spice to flavor ratio. We have to plan out our drive so that we can be here for a meal when traveling between Tahoe and San Diego. Family run, clean, and so cute inside. Must stop here!

Love the salsa!

This is a solid three star and I am planning on going back to give it another taste. I love the salsa that comes with the chips. It is one of the most unique ones I have ever had. The Fish taco was good size and has average flavor. My server was on top of it and the and the atmosphere was typical Latino.

Asda and pastor taco.

Went here for lunch as our favorite taco truck was closed. We had an asada and al pastor taco. Pastor good asada okay. Came with chips and salsa which my wife liked but I needed more zip. Not my first choice for Mexican food in Bishop.

Incredible with gigantic portion sizes. Burritos are the size of a human face. Great atmosphere, service is fast and attentive.

Strong margaritas, good food, mellow vibe. Now I'm just writing to meet the Yelp mandated minimum character limit. But I've already said all that needs to be said.

Pastor taco and cheese enchilada combo! Must have!

It was a delightful treat to experience a good old fashioned Mexican meal while camping in Inyo! The service was fast and friendly! The ambiance was great, it looks like everyone comes here for delicious food! Must try the combo enchilada and taco pair it with a margarita. Also ordered a bean and cheese and it blew me away! Authentic tasty beans! Order a side to dip your chips!

Carnitas burrito

A truly wonderful family run restaurant! Was in Bishop to see the Fall Colors and really wanted a traditional carnitas burrito. This did not disappoint and was exactly what I wanted. Friday night and they were very busy. I was getting it to go and I called ahead. When I walked inside, everyone was enjoying their night. I will definitely be back!

(I'll insert the pic ) Upon order made we were shocked to see the kitchen person calling 3 pcs taco into 6 .. and after argue he still stood his ground that what he is serving is 6 taco . .. it's not about loosing money . It's about customer satisfaction. Which I felt a unwelcome .. in simple words ( please place a tag out side your main door ) that we are racist and we don't welcome other communities. Coz who believes this to be 6 taco ? I get it's inflation but dude !! Seriously don't scam people..

We strolled into Rusty's (we really have an eye for great bars) and were welcomed by a group of elderly men and a woman all grabbing drinks after a day of fishing (so cool). Despite our SoCal looking vibes, the bartender and folks inside were very nice. Cold drinks were served, conversations were shared, and shots were consumed. What more could you ask for? This bar was so awesome that we came back every night with our friends. By the time our trip was over we felt like long time locals as we were greeted by the bartenders and the familiar faces of the nights before. Good times were had, great memories were made. We'll be coming back (;

The Bacon & Blue Burger was incredibly well put together and paired perfectly with their crispy fries. I also tried the Arugula Salad, which was really good, although I would've swapped the goat cheese for feta if I had read the description more closely. The welcoming atmosphere and beautiful hand-painted artwork featuring local landmarks made this the perfect post-hike stop. Exactly the kind of meal I needed after 3 days on the trail!

First impression of Mountain Rambler: a casual, laid-back brewery with a chill atmosphere and spacious seating. The AC was blasting, though, so I found a corner table to escape the arctic chill. Ordering was easy, and they were accommodating with substitutions. Not a fan of having to tip before getting your food, though. The checkout wouldn't let me proceed without selecting a tip, so you have to manually enter $0 if you prefer to tip after service. Tried the non-alcoholic shrub drink, which had a tart, kombucha-like fermented flavor. Interesting, but definitely an acquired taste! Ordered the Rambler Burger with garlic fries. Portions were generous, and the fries were tasty. Loved the bacon, onions, and green chiles on the burger, but the lettuce was a little brown and the pretzel bun overly toasted. Otherwise, a solid burger, although it could've used some condiments. The ranch was good but a little soupy. Service was nice enough, but nothing particularly memorable or that extra small-mountain-town welcome you sometimes get while passing through. Overall, a relaxed spot with generous portions and plenty of room to hang out. A few minor food and ordering quirks, but a decent lunch stop in Bishop. My true honest rating would be a 3.5/5 stars
