This is a cool ice cream concept - you can either order a set ice cream or custom design what you want. Then they make it on the spot. At the counter, you ask for what you want including any adds, substitutions or omissions. They have both dairy and nondairy (oatmeal, coconut milk) bases and a variety of toppings and inclusions. There is also the option for a cup or cone as well as how many scoops you want. Then the mix is placed into a creamery and -321 degree nitrogen is used to turn it into a soft and creamy ice cream. When there isn't a line, the wait is just a couple of minutes - the time is takes to mix and process through the machine. The decor is very simple, bright and white giving a very modern feel. It is spacious enough for a small groups of friends to gather for desert. Probably well worth the time to check it out. read more

Came back to get another afogatto. It's very tasty. I love coffee so this is the perfect dessert for me. My son ordered the ice cream sandwich which is a huge portion of ice cream in between two big pieces of brownie. Delicious!!! I like the fact that you can choose what base to have. For those lactose intolerant, this is a great way to enjoy ice cream. Service was fast and super friendly and we had the place to ourselves this time, do it was a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon with a tasty treat to end the day! read more

It is pricey but pretty good once you accept it for what it is. The time I went I didn't receive what I thought I ordered. Instead it was ice cream and I was expecting a shake. My fault for not indicating but I also think it should have been asked since the picture is both the ice cream and the shake right behind it. When received it and ask I was hit with it "yup that's what it is." No big deal there. I had to knock another star off because the person serving wasn't wearing gloves or an apron while the other workers were. It's worth a try on a date night or if you're looking to try something new. Just keep in mind to make it clear if you want the ice cream or a shake version of the same flavor. read more

It's still really expensive but they were very nice to my kids and they enjoyed the experience. The ice cream is very delicious with a lovely texture. It's good for a once in awhile treat. We got friendly and kind service, I will say they were an older couple and English was not their first language but I didn't think that was such a big deal. read more

I wish I could upload a video bc it would sum this place getting 5 stars up. We drive 20 minutes to come here. I met someone who told me they're like one of the few places with real ice cream here. (Also learned about polar bears and penguins shout out to mom of the year of you see this) My son would give this to outerspace stars ( his words) It's a little pricey but it's a show for kids too so it's worth it. My family and I stopped by while traveling through the area and we were really impressed with this place. My kids loved their sweets that they ordered and loved watching the process! Really cool experience! The couple who helped was was very polite and patient as we were new to this experience and everything was very well kept and clean. This place was very empty coming in. Tons of options for ice cream and mix in. The price of the ice cream and how small it was will left you questions yourself. A small is about 10 dollars. A shake is 11 and it only 10oz. Probably best to go to ikea for an ice cream cone and save you the money. read more

My friend and I stopped at Creamistry for an evening treat. We walked in and found a large rectangular room with tables on the left and a long counter on the right. There, the icy treats are made individually on demand in big mixers. Upon entering we noticed the clean crisp decor. The place is gleaming! There are quite a few choices on the menu. The strawberry one in my photo is gluten free, the chocolate one is not. The girl at the register was friendly and helped navigate the gluten free options. I can't even put into words how much I loved this ice cream.. I got the Strawberry Bond with oat milk and couldn't even tell it was dairy free. When at other ice cream shops, at times, I'll opt for milk due to its creaminess but I don't have to worry about that here! I believe the owners were the ones preparing and taking our order - they were friendly, patient (I have a hard time making decisions and especially here since it was my first time and there is an insurmountable amount of flavor combinations to choose from) and worked efficiently. Another thing was how clean the place was! I'm ocd when it comes to cleanliness and I was so happy sitting indoors here because of this which is just another plus in my eyes. So, I'll not say that it's an affordable place but it's worth to try. Texture of the ice cream is just right. Taste are subtle and no over powering sugar. Brownie is good but not the best. I don't review a lot of places unless they go out of their way, good or bad and boy did they go out of their way. M.J. Specifically went the extra mile. Firs of all, I ordered the Chocolate combustion with the simple twist of vanilla ice cream rather than chocolate. This was my first visit here. What I received was three scoops of vanilla with 3 tiny pieces of brownie and some whipped cream. When I pointed it out, the very young lady behind the counter, who's shorts were so short it looks like she only had a tee shirt on, took it and put some chocolate sprinkles on it and a drizzle of chocolate sauce and handed it back. Still a bit distraught, I pulled up a picture of the chocolate combustion and returned to them and showed them. MJ told me I had changed from vanilla from the chocolate and that's correct. Please see the picture comparison. I pointed out the lack of brownies and sauce topping. He took it from me angrily and shoved two more tiny brownie pieces on top of it and handed it back. At this point I just asked for a refund. Mr MJ told me sorry it was already made and they did not do refunds. I informed him I would call my bank and issue a charge back he told me to go ahead. I have never been to ANY food establishment and rather than remake it, just add some stuff to it, not once but twice. And to go further not allow me to get a refund. Unbelievable. They only have 3 stars on yelp and I'm shocked it's not lower. My dates ice cream was very good so they (MJ and the pantsless teen) must really be going out of their way to make an ice cream shop, which is ch should be a happy place a miserable horrible experience. Maybe it's because who I was with? Maybe it was me, regardless, MJ has no business dealing with customers and employees should at least wear visible pants. Minus the color of the ice cream, would you have sent it back? I will be requesting my bank issue Them a charge back, which will cost them more than my ice cream. read more

Awesome! I am kind of shocked to see anything but five star reviews. I truly think anyone giving this place less than five stars is just mad at the world. It's ice cream. Get real. And it's GOOD ice cream. We've been regulars here for a while and it's always a treat. The service is AWESOME. Yes, it takes a minute for them to MAKE YOUR ICE CREAM FRESH. It's amazing. And the people? Seriously some of the nicest people ever. It's a really clean, nice place with great service, excellent family vibe, and good ice cream. Bonus: I'm vegan and the options here are AWESOME. My husband recommends the coconut taro with mochis! It's his fave! You won't be disappointed! read more

Very expensive. $32 for 4 small Sunday's. Worth it? Not really. There are cheaper alternatives that are just as good if not better. It was nice to try, but I wouldn't return based on the price alone. Who serves ice cream with a frown? The workers at creamistry do. Although, the ice cream making does look laborious, put a smile on, you're possibly making someone's shitty day better. Some of the photos on yelp are unavailable, like the Elvis Presley, but there are still quite a few signature concoctions to choose from. The menu boards are also difficult to read with blue light backgrounds. I liked the unicorn the best. read more

After looking at the prices when I walked in, I almost walked straight out. I was craving something sweet and was in the area so I figured I'd give it a try. I mean, $12 for a 10ounce shake seems insane but it must be really good for that price. I gave in and I got a shake. It was ok, but I felt bad drinking it after spending $12 on it. NOT WORTH the $12. I am drinking the shake as I am writing this review, so it's not good enough to deter me from writing a bad review even as I drink it. I read a few reviews and the majority of them mentioned how the place had no customers walk in while they were there. Same scenario for me, an empty place. Not much mentioned the customer service, which was ok in my experience. Not problematic and not memorable. Nothing bad but also nothing good, which isn't something to complain about I guess. It just was eh. Overall, a subpar experience and a decent milkshake for an absurd price. Sorry Creamistry, it's mainly the cost to portion ratio but I wouldn't recommend anyone to try this place. There are other places a short drive from this Creamistry in Round Rock that are more worth the money. read more

What an Amazing place to go, I'm visually impaired so I couldn't watch the them making each order with liquid Nitrogen, but I was able to feel the Cold Cloud as it billowed over the safety glass, it was AWESOME !! The service was So Friendly and Accommodating, they went out of their way to make sure me and my family not only enjoyed our ice cream, but had everything we needed...the owners 15 years old daughter even helped me (guided me with her arm) to the trash can to throw away our trash, a lot of places are not very Accommodating for the disabled...this place deffintly is ! I Highly Recommend Creamistry, not only for their AMAZING ice-cream but for their Outstanding Customer Service ! read more

This ice cream was SO GOOD! I have a four year old so we've tried a lot of ice creams and OH MY GOSH. My husband, myself, and my daughter all LOVED the ones we picked out 10/10. I ordered a Thai Tea ice cream and it came out fast! All the team members were so helpful and friendly! I loved watching them make the ice cream right in front of me, it's so fun to see all the liquid nitrogen! My ice cream was delightful, it was so rich and creamy! Vegan review - I was disappointed by the vegan ice cream here, but am giving one additional star for the kind staff and the simple fact that they have any vegan options at all. That being said, I won't be coming back - get your vegan ice cream elsewhere if you can. First, the vegan ice cream is $1 extra, which is annoying. I get that the ingredients might be more expensive, but the additional cost should be split evenly with the regular ice cream so that you aren't making your vegan customers feel like they're being punished for choosing that option. They don't make it easy to distinguish the vegan flavors and toppings, and it's sad that you can only choose one flavor. I ordered the chocolate with cashew base and strawberries on top. My small cup of ice cream was almost $9, which was crazy expensive. The chocolate flavor didn't taste like chocolate, it was pretty terrible and devoid of any real flavor. I was expecting the strawberries to be fresh, but they were slimy and seemed canned or something. I was pretty disappointed that I had just wasted $9 on something so unappetizing and low quality. read more

Overpriced ice cream, terrible service, and a big waste of your money. If your into throwing your money away then this is the place. The "nitro~hype" isn't worth the expense. Over $35 just for the four of us to get a "treat". They must be making a huge profit. Probably why their staff doesn't care about customer service. Boring inside, no flare, no music. If you like the white steam of the nitro then have at it. Beware of at time of payment the terminal is defaulted to only give a 15-20-25% tip. You have to manually opt to enter 0.00. A tip?! Are you serious. After my small ice cream is $8 each? Crazy PS. The employee forgot to make one of our orders and started taking others. Huge delay on top of a slow process. Back our bags you'll be here awhile! read more

I had other places to be so I had to walk to the register and ask for my bill. Another person at the bar, who I had never seen come to my table, prepared the bill so I could pay. This was a little bit awkward and just seemed like the employees were flustered due to the holiday or something and just forgot about me entirely. If I ever return, I will have to come back and try the steak on my next visit. It looked really good!
