I don't usually like to review chains but seriously, 85 degrees deserves their flowers. I am a frequenter here and need a boba milk tea half sugar at least once a week. Their black tea is better than a lot of boba shops I've tried around Austin and although their regular sugar is too sweet for me, it's an easy fix on the kiosk or at the register. It's also very easy to earn rewards on their app as well as claim monthly/quarterly bonuses and treats that they give out to all rewards members! Their pastries are also divine. My fiancée and I usually buy a whole tray to cater to our friends in the morning. Service: 10/10 baristas are always so friendly and efficient Boba: 10/10 Price: $5.25 for a large boba milk tea which is cheap for Austin! Around $2~$3 for pastries on average. Ambiance: 7/10 this place gets PACKED and there isn't much seating so usually it's take out only for me. I wouldn't really consider this place great for studying. read more

I love their current event where we can get these adorable magnets that feature the different matcha drinks and sweets that the bakery is opening. So far I've gotten the cute bear and bunny. I ordered the sea salt strawberry drink and the strawberry matcha. The Matcha strawberry is sooooooo good, there are real diced strawberries in the drink and the matcha is actually very soft and mellow in flavor. The clerk at the register was very nice and asked if I had a preference between the two magnets, and was surprised to see how big of a difference in size the bear was to the rabbit, but I think it's cute they decided to make the size difference. I really must try the strawberry dessert cake next time I go back. I can't wait for the release of the last magnet later this month with the cat :)... I love the salt bread, the hotdog bun, and the pork sung bread. The basque cheesecake is good too. Plus you really can't go wrong with any of the teas and drinks this bakery offers. Pre-Ordered a Black Forest cake from this location for my girlfriend's birthday as it's one of her favorite types of cakes and difficult to find in most bakeries and stores. The cake was fantastic - delicious and authentic flavors without being too heavy. This location also offers excellent bread and savory eats which i enjoy. The only issue was the chaos and lack of clarity at the cafe around where to pick up the cake and the longer than expected wait time despite pre-ordering. read more

I love 85°C Bakery for how affordable it isyou can grab a good amount of bread without spending much. The selection is solid, and it's easy to find a few favorites each visit. I also enjoy their taro smoothie and strawberry mango smoothie. Flavor-wise they're good, but consistency can be hit or miss since they're not always blended well, and I sometimes end up with a lot of ice chunks. The egg tarts are one of my favorites, but I'm pretty frustrated that they now force you to buy them in packs of two instead of letting you buy just one. That decision honestly knocks a star down for me. Aside from that, it's a clean, organized bakery that gets very busy on weekends. Overall, still a great spot for affordable baked goods with plenty of options, just wish they'd bring back single egg tarts and improve smoothie consistency. read more

This was my first time and I'm so disappointed! I picked out all of my pastries which look good, then get into line to pay and order my drink, and can tell the cashier isn't moving very efficiently, so we wait and get our pastries checked out and I order ONE Vietnamese coffee, I waited in line for 20 MINUTES!!!! Then the employee calls my number but only to tell me they are out of the coffee and I can wait another 30 minutes (so 50 minutes for one damn coffee) or I can order something else or be refunded. I took the refund and left that was it. the manager didn't say anything there was no prior notice that they were low in stock or I wouldn't have ordered and wasted my time. Not to mention the fact it was like 90 degree inside and packed with people clearing sweating and hot. Customer service needs some serious work. read more

When I get into the Cedar Park area....a must, is to swing through 85* bakery, near the Lakeline mall area. The manager is always hard at work, greeting her customers or helping with orders. She always goes out of her way to accommodate, as well. I had quite a drive and she helped with an order by making a bag of ice to keep a drink cold, for my daughter (who was not with us, on this visit). We love all the food, from pastries, pies, sandwiches, coffee, milk teas and even smoothies. This fabulous location is always busy, with some long lines at times. It's always worth the wait! They have clean bathrooms, very courteous staff, with table inside and outside for a little break, if needed. Watch the step coming in or leaving though.....I have lost my balance at least once. Wow! I came in at 9am to get some of their seasonal pumpkin bread... I thought they would be smaller but to my surprise they are big!! For less than $3 each they are a steal!! They look like cute pumpkins and the stems are chocolate!! It does have a nice pumpkin filling inside!! I put butter on my bread then found out it had filling!! Yum!! Only complaint is that they put the self serve kiosk right behind the line for the counter so it completely blocks the way of anyone trying to walk through. I. LOVE. 85. Ok so this chain rocks, they are actually very affordable and have such a glorious selection, there is something for everyone here be it bread, drink, or cake! During the weekend and around holidays it can get pretty busy. Expect to wait in lines and for drinks. This location is right near H-Mart so the parking is very ample. I will stand by this but they have THE BEST THAI TEA in town. I love that their drinks are not tooo sweet. I usually get 25% for my drinks anyway~ I do wish they kept selling their egg tarts as singles. There really isn't much seating here so I would not suggest this as a study cafe. read more

I've been to 85°C Bakery Cafe many times in Los Angeles, but it's been many years since I stepped into one of their locations. I paid a visit to the Lakeline location this morning and was once again mesmerized by the variety of sweet and savory goods all around. It took a while for me to choose, but I eventually selected the spinach and cheese danish as my savory selection, and shared two cakes (deluxe strawberry and black forest). The danish was pretty good, could have used more filling, but the deluxe strawberry cake made up for it. The black forest cake was also good, but after a certain point it go to be too much chocolate for me. The best part of my meal however was the hot sea salt caramel coffee. The first couple sips really hit hard on the salt but it really is good! Such a refreshing flavor profile and is probably what will have me back at 85 once again. read more

Almost too sweet for me, but they offer one of my favorite cinnamon rolls--it's kind of a set of them. I'm also hoping they'll bring back that Australian-inspired vegan "meat" bun one day. I have to limit trying the sweet items to a couple a year, space out the sugar, 'cause they're almost at my limit, but it's one of the few places offering flavors like Ube. And I also love the softness of the encasing of the red bean bun. If I tolerated cow's milk better, I'd get the mango things again, too. For whatever reason, it brings me joy to see multiple mango items across the shelves and cases. 85c is easy to navigate, the employees are nice and helpful, and the unique offerings worth waiting in the occasional busy line. If you find yourself at the H Mart Korean store, this is just 50 yards past their door. This place is very popular and has one of the most unique selections of bakery goods you'll find anywhere. They also have a very wide selection of drinks and specialty coffees. They have two tables inside to dine at along with a few chairs to sit at. They do have four tables outside as well. The prices here are reasonable and you won't be hit with the tip screen when you run your card. There's usually a short line, but it's worth the wait. I just wish this place was closer to home. 85C Bakery is my favorite places to go when I crave an Asian bakery. This is not exactly a French quality bakery, but they have baked goods and bread that I'm familiar with and grew up eating. Some of my favorite items are: - Mochi egg tarts - two of my favorites in one dessert, yes please! - Red bean bun (their bread is gluten full which makes it chewy and soft)! - Aussie meat pie - it warms up nicely in the oven (a must for full deliciousness), meaty and spicy good & Spinach Kale Danish. Both pair well with coffee in the morning - Hokkaido chiffon cupcakes - soft, spongy & delicious! - Fresh strawberry cream cake- delish! - Caramel pudding - pillowy soft and delicious! - Japanese Milk toast - perfect for making Japanese egg sandwich. I am always impressed by how their staff at the checkout remember all baked goods and code them correctly in the receipt every time. It's busy during the weekend and evenings so come early for more selection (before things run out) and to avoid crowds or long checkout line. BE WARNED if you order drinks, it will take time (they have never gotten efficient at making drinks). We often stop by this bakery whenever we go grocery shopping at H Mart; kill two birds with one stone or in this case, you can get a meal (or cooked meal from H Mart food court) and desserts too at one stop! read more

Fruit tea (passion fruit and grapefruit) is very refreshing as well. This little bakery is right next to H Mart. It's basically the same thing as tours de jour. I've gone about two or three times with my husband now. The lines can vary in length, but there is usually always a line of some kind. Thankfully, it goes pretty quickly. Given the amount of people that frequent this bakery, they may want to consider a little more indoor seating. But regardless, I've never had an issue thus far finding a place to sit and enjoy my goods. I generally grab about two bakery items, and I will order a hot tea along with it. My husband will usually get a coffee drink, a Boba tea or a Thai tea. we've never had any complaints, everything is always delicious. We will continue to frequent this location! read more

They told me they are out of large cups for Thai milk tea (which is only Large size available), they asked me if they could split them into a medium cup. U JOKING WITH ME? I've seen the new guy who's making the drink today keep making drinks way not enough of regular amount. But this is split of Large drink. You at least fill them up to 2/3 of the cup when customer genuinely excused to use medium cups to split the large since the bakery is out of large cups.
