I finally got a chance to visit the Georgetown location! Grab a tasty treat before your stroll around the square! I'm a cookie lover, so a place like this just speaks to me ! There was a line when I came. The space is small, but it works. I got the cookie monster cookie with the cookie monster ice cream. I always get my cookie warm. I love the quantity of ice cream and the flavor. The flavor is so rich and smooth. Everything paired so well. They have so many cool options so you can mix and match your treat! These are not for the faint of heart. Need to offer smaller options so there isn't as much waste but delicious! read more

I think the only reason why this place always has customers is because it's one of the few kid friendly dessert spots in the square. Other than that it's not memorable at all. I had the mint chip ice cream and everything about it was average. It's worse than Thrifty and Baskin Robbin's' mint chip ice cream. I got it sandwiched in a brownie and gooey cake batter cookie. Both had good gooey texture but again there was no memorable flavors. The brownie could've been improved with darker chocolate and notes of coffee. Instead it tasted like a low budget grocery market brownie. The cookie tasted like it was made with cheap land o lakes butter, definitely not kerrygold. This is the second time I've been here and each time their ice cream sandwiches taste like they are made with cheap low quality ingredients. For $8.93 for an ice cream sandwich, I definitely expected more. Even if it was $4 I would say the quality tastes lower than what I paid for. Save yourself the trouble and walk two blocks to Kilwins instead. Their ice cream is way better read more

I think the cookies here are where it's at. I tried the butter cookie and the snickerdoodle and both were very good (although I preferred the butter cookie because it was gooey and unique). I thought the ice cream was horrible. It is sooo incredibly sweet and I can't even begin to imagine it in a cookie sandwich. They do give you a ton of ice cream for one scoop but the flavors i got was the blackberry crumble and cookie dough. For cookies I'd come back but for ice cream i'll pass. read more

Disappointed you can no longer order a half scoop. Although delicious prices are so high. You are being so greedy as to take away the half scoop option. You are asking a family of 4 to spend $40 on ice cream when children can't eat it all. Stop being so greedy! On a good note the staff was amazing. Great place to get fresh made ice cream and cookies in inventive and classic flavors. There are a few ice cream spots in Georgetown and this place always has a line out the door. Everything I've had here has been very tasty but also very sweet, so I tend to stick to the smallest bowl or cone, which both still hold quite a bit of ice cream! It is a bit on the pricier side, so be forewarned, but as the occasional treat, I'd say it is definitely worth it. read more

It's just very yummy, the ice cream, the cookies and when you put them together literally the best combo. My favorite is the butter cookie with the blackberry ice cream. The service is always very good as well even though they have young ppl working I don't see that often there days they are very welcoming and patient. It's located in old town Georgetown so you can get it to go and walk around the cute area while enjoying your sweet treat. read more

As soon as you walk inside you're greeted with delicious smells of warm cookies and delicious ice creams. Most of the workers are teens who are very attentive and efficient with long lines. First you pick out your cookies for the sandwich and then your ice cream for the middle. You're able to mix and match cookies and ice cream, which is great if you're having trouble deciding. I would recommend to get your ice cream sandwich warmed as melts the cookie just enough to perfectly complement the creaminess of the ice cream. This is a wonderful place to end a summer stroll around the beautiful Georgetown square. read more

Their Instagram adds make them look way better than it tastes. I'm not saying it's bad but it's nothing special. If you do the sandwich you can pick 2 different cookies, choose your ice cream. They did have plenty of options, you can add toppings and then have the choice to make it warm. The cookies themselves were not warm but it did heat up the ice cream so it wasn't rock hard. Would be good on a hot Texas day but won't go out of my way to get something from here read more

We visited while on a day trip to Georgetown. It's located in/ near the square so once you find parking, it is easy to walk to. They have a few seats outside so since it was a gorgeous day when we went we chose to sit out there. Orders are placed at the counter. The staff was super friendly and helpful since it was our first time to visit. They gave some really good recommendations. Before we walked in, we ran into a friend who recommended The gooey butter cake cookie. The staff also said this is one of their most popular cookies. After trying it, I understand why! It lives up to the name of being super gooey. Definitely on the sweeter side but oh so good. Would highly recommend. I also tried the pistachio chocolate chip. It was a good cookie, possibly a little too crispy for my taste. But after having the gooey butter cake cookie, it never stood a chance. For the ice cream, I had the butter brittle cake ice cream. It had the right amount of sweetness and a little bit of crunch. I didn't have it as an ice cream sandwich, so I'm not sure if combining the sweetness of the cookie and ice cream would have been overpowering. They are known for their ice cream. Sandwiches served with warm cookies and honestly they looked delicious. I'm not a big fan of ice cream sandwiches so I had them served separately. They serve the cookies warm to make them extra gooey and they give a huge portion of ice cream and a cup. I would highly recommend this place if you have a sweet tooth in Georgetown, especially as it gets hot in the summer! read more

I managed to avoid this place for two years, and unfortunately for my pants, I went in the other day. For crying out loud, why did I do that? The cookies were mouthwatering, combine that with the ice cream, it's what my dreams are made out of...and warm that up...nom nom nom. Delicious. The one thing I would change, the people working there need warm water to dip their scoops in, their poor little wrists were tired from scooping so much ice cream. read more

We were greeted upon arrival, and the staff were patient when I struggled to make a decision. I got the monster cookie and the Nutella cookie with the s'mores ice cream in the middle. It was absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend getting it warmed up a bit! I give it 4 stars because the website advertised a churro flavor that we were really excited about but that is no longer available, so that was the only disappointment. Stopped in here for my birthday desert after having dinner at a nearby restaurant. What a pleasant surprise The Baked Bear was! Came highly recommended and it sure did not disappoint. Great vibe, and love the simplicity of what they serve. The portion sizes are huge so make sure you save room for desert if you're coming here. Plenty of options to choose from between cookies, brownies, ice cream, and toppings. I do love the fact that you can mix and match cookies for each side of your cookie sandwich. On this particular visit i had the funfetti cookies along with some good old fashioned vanilla ice cream-it was delicious and so filling. Service was good, and there are few spots to sit inside and outside. This is a must try if you're in Georgetown. Look forward to coming back and trying other ice cream and cookie combinations. read more

Talk about a little hidden gem on a side street in downtown Georgetown! This little bakery is just the ticket for your sweet tooth. You can get cookies (fresh made and ranging from the OG chocolate chip to my personal favorite Nutella chocolate chunk marble cookie sprinkled with sea salt. Oh ya, and they have vegan/gluten options) to a wide range of ice creams (my personal fave is the toasted S'mores. They ALSO have vegan/gluten/egg free options of ice cream too!) but the deal sealer is making an ice cream sandwich out of their cookies and ice cream. You can mix cookies for the top and bottom! Chef's kiss. They'll even "hot press" it for you! Talk about ooey gooey goodness! The staff is so fun and helpful not only to customers in general but offering up flavor combos for ice cream sandwiches too. You'll love this place! read more

The workers are the absolute sweetest here!! They are polite and very quick. The ice cream was also delicious! I tried the blackberry crumble and vanilla and it was so good. Friends have been talking about these homemade ice cream sandwiches! I had no idea what I was missing. The cookies are fresh baked, butter cake is my favorite, and the place smells like heaven! The full ice cream sandwiche is huge so I go for a smaller portion of just one cookie in a dish with some ice cream. Now, if you do it this way you will miss out on have 2 different cookies for your sandwich. I can only imagine the goodness tagt is a butter cake cookie and a snickerdoodle with strawberry shortcake ice cream, if you have it let me know!!! The staff are helpful and glad to give recommendations. They also sell day old cookies for only $8 a dozen, totally worth it if they aren't full of red velvet cookies. Stumbled on this gem walking in town after dinner. I ordered a combination ice cream sandwich where the top was a brownie and the bottom was a gooey butter cake cookie. I thought that I would be too full after dinner but I managed to find a way to eat it all. The employees were very helpful and the service was very speedy. Overall the atmosphere was not very cozy. The Baked Bear offers indulgent treats and is a great addition to Georgetown's downtown area. If you don't have a big appetite, I highly suggest sharing the ice cream sandwich as both the cookies and the ice cream are very rich and will fill you up quickly, especially if you add in any toppings. The cherry pie was robust with a flaky buttery crust...so addicting. The scone was the best scone I've ever eaten. Most scones are hard and this one was not. It was soft and exploding with chocolate...in every bite, By the time we got to the bakery shop, all cookies were all sold out...probably due to the Red Poppy festival. Since I prefer to season my own eggs, I think it would be better if the restaurant left them unseasoned and provided salt and pepper packets so guests could season them according to their preferences. Also, there weren't any eating utensils in the container either. My other concern was the curbside pickup experience. There didn't appear to be a designated curbside pickup area, and I had to repeatedly blow my horn so the person could locate me where I was parked. A clearly marked pickup space or a more efficient notification process would greatly improve the customer experience. Overall, the food, especially the Avocado Toast, was very good, and I would return. With a few improvements to the curbside service and a little more flexibility in how the eggs are prepared, the experience could be even better.
