I love Jeremiah's so much. This place is so fun. The vibe is amazing. The italian ice is seriously the most delicious thing ever. My favorite is the cookie butter with the swirl ice cream and cookie butter crumbles. The service is also great! The store is owned and operated by a Southwestern Alumni too, so it's always great to support local businesses! Seriously check this place out. It's so good

Coconut Truffle

My husband and I tried Jeremiah's for the first time today. I had the coconut truffle and he had the Oreo mud pie. They were both delicious. The Italian ice is creamy and full of flavor and having it layered with the ice cream is amazing. The customer service was wonderful . We were asked if we wanted to sample any flavors when we walked in. They were able to re-create the mixture of ice cream and Italian ice with the toppings in a sample size so we could decide before we ordered. We ate inside and while we were enjoying our treats, one of the owners, Allison ,came over and brought us some more samples of some of her favorites. One was a strawberry cheesecake and the other one tasted like an orange dreamsicle. Thank you for a great first experience, we will definitely be back!

This place is so good. It kind of reminds me of Rita's a little bit. Their custard or ice cream is perfect with the Italian ice.

Ronnie's Shaved Ice used to have their mobile treat stand at the HEB Plus in Leander. The hubster informed me they were no longer there but on a Sunday drive he spotted what he thought was them up in front of the HEB (the oldest one in this area) off FM1431 and HWY183 on the northwest corner. As I was out and about Monday afternoon I swung into the parking lot to check. Sure enough there is Ronnie's Shaved Ice. This is a family owned and operated business and I'm not sure if all the employees are family (older children) but I believe they are. In the past when Ive indulged in this Hawaiian based treat I'd often visit with Ronnie, who would be there as well serving up customers. I'm all about supporting small business so I parked and walked up to the window to order. Within seconds of my step up onto their platform(perfect for us short squat peeps)

It compacts so much better than your typical shaved ice experience, allowing for the syrups to actually hold the flavor. I stopped into Ululani's at the recommendation of my friend, and we both got our own, which is such a huge size in itself. You could easily share a Lilli (their regular size) between two people. For my flavor, I got the Sunset Beach combination with passion orange, mango, and guava, plus I added some of the Amy's Ice Cream on top that they were offering. Upon my first bite, it's truly impressive how compact the shave ice is. It doesn't even feel like shaved ice at that point and is more comparable to a popsicle in a bowl. This is what kids should be eating in the summer vs. your Konahama Bucks, and like Stan Twitter would say, Ululani clears while the rest are flops! RIYL: sno cones that actually can compete with ice cream vs just being a convenient secondary frozen treat option because for all my life that's how i compared the two, you know? like typical shaved ice is just so mediocre i don't know how to express that to you. like i never have ever suggested to somebody that we should get a sno cone, but like this place, i would actually suggest, so yeah.

It was crowded today, but its "Smokin Hot" outside and lots of people getting cold desserts. Once I ordered my coffee, I had it in a couple of minutes. We regularly get snow ice at SnoMo…read moreon North Lamar and Snowy Village on West Parmer, so we've come to expect that wonderfully soft, delicate, flaky, almost melt-in-your-mouth texture that makes this kind of dessert SO good. Unfortunately, our visit to Wicked Snow was something entirely different. And not in a good way. Instead of soft, fluffy snow, ours was hard and icy. It even had that unpleasant taste ice can get when it's been sitting around too long. The fruit toppings weren't fresh and bright either -- they were frozen solid and tasted like they'd been pulled straight from a forgotten bag of fruit in the bottom of the freezer and dumped on top. This place is too expensive to be such a letdown. We tried. We really did. Eventually, we just stopped eating it. I hate wasting food almost as much as I hate wasting money, but neither of us wanted to finish this. If you've never had really good snow ice, maybe this wouldn't bother you as much. But when you know how light, fluffy and delicious this dessert CAN be, this was an enormous disappointment. We won't be back. It was honestly that bad.
