this was my first time trying Bahama bucks and I heard that it is an absolute staple in Texas especially the Austin area. I'm not sold on it. I feel like I tried one of the specialty drinks and it was OK, but I didn't finish it. I wouldn't go back for it, and the people that I was with did not finish theirs. I don't know if it's because the flavors aren't all the way through the cup to the bottom or just on the top that causes it to taste like pain ice. the customer service is absolutely great. They're very sweet. They were patient with you taking your time, and it was quite busy for a Saturday evening. There is a lot of seating and it's loud but not so loud that you can't hear the people that you are with so I really appreciate it that. Several times I have arrived to pick up my order to be met with attitude and displeasure -- I try not to show up too close to closing, but on the occasional time I have, it's gone beyond just being rude. PRICING - The total was $12.86 after tax ($0.98) but before tip for a 16oz regular Sno ($4.89) and 24oz regular smoothie ($6.99). It can get a little pricey if you add a lot of toppings but it isn't outrageous. SNO (6/10) - It's a basic shave ice... there are a bunch of "Signature Sno" flavors that are pre-made but you can also customize a Sno with a flavoring of your choice and toppings for an additional charge (with the exception of the shakers that are free to add). I've gotten the sugar free strawberry cheesecake and birthday cake flavors and both were good for what they are. You can order it with the top (standard) or as a flat top (required for delivery) which puts it in a bigger cup so you don't have the mountain of ice on top. It is supposed to come with an umbrella on top but mine was missing on this particular visit. The spoon changes color with the cold which is a super cool feature! WAVEBENDER ISLAND SMOOTHIE CREAM BLEND (7/10) - It's a blend of bananas, pineapple, coconut rum flavor, and vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and a cherry on top. It's super sweet and creamy with tropical fruit flavors if that's what you're looking for. The Round Rock location has some shelves with various games you can play as well as plugs available by the booths which are unique touches that make it a great spot to hang out with friends. Came in on a Wednesday night after work. I placed an order online, and it was ready right when I got there--super convenient. I got my usual Sour Patch Blue Raspberry, but I realized I forgot to add sour sand to my order. (My fault) The ladies at the front were really helpful and gave me a side of sour without hesitation. Oh my goodness... I found my new obsession. This is my new favorite drink and I've been by to get it probably about 7x since. 3 snowcones - $20 (one small the other two were the mini) The shaved ice was so soft and the flavors were great. I did walk in with a little apprehension since I saw some photos of the bottom of a snow cone being "dry" but ours were flavored all the way. The people working behind the counter were all very young but also very polite. I'll definitely be back and next time I'll try some of the other flavors! The gummy bear was yummy but the presentation was a little bit lackluster- regardless my daughter enjoyed it and the little gummy bears were a pleasant surprise to find in the snow cone. My mangonada was SO GOOD. I ate all of it and then paid the price with some heartburn. Worth it. Tiny little mango cubes evenly dispersed through the snow, the tamarindo straw with chamoy and chili powder added the right touch of spice. Great shaved ice but awful service. I love the soft shaved ice and flavors they offer. I typically order curbside but they rarely bring the order without me calling. Tonight I arrived after my order was supposed to be ready. I waited then called then waited 10 minutes then called again then waited some more. 20 minutes to get my order. Bahama Buck's is a "have to stop at" when we would go to Frisco but now I'm so happy to have one in Round Rock!! (hutto soon I hope)!! I'm not a fan of going inside of businesses since the pandemic started - in fact I rarely do - but this place was following all the protocols and I appreciated that and it takes a lot of extra precautions for me to be content with the way businesses are handling covid. I found out they have a curbside option after my first visit and have been using that since. You don't have to wait longer than 4-5 min. The kids will bring your order out and are wearing masks. The snow cone here is one of the best that I ever had. The snow is soft and not clumpy ice. I've had the Cotton Candy - Pink and it was perfect. Not too sweet and not drowning with juice. Time visited 5/14/22 around 5:45-6pm We frequent this location a lot and have always had a good experience until today. There were 7 young people working....I loosely say working. A young boy stood at the register for about 5 minutes and no one helped him. It wasn't until a gentleman stood up and said something that someone helped the young boy. My husbands order was wrong and he asked for it to be redone, which they did. The people working were more interested in talking and flirting with each other than the patrons that were coming in. Why are you mad? You work at Bahama Buck's. Ok so boom. Recently I took a trip to this Bahama Buck's. Thinking I was getting an at least decent experience. We had placed an online order. So I called the store and he told me that they're super busy, mind you there were two tables taken out of about 7. He then says okay I'll meet you in the back "where the curbside is" after being rude and a bit snarky on the phone we drive to the back to find there's no curbside and we had been waiting for 5 minutes for nothing. We go back to the front and my cousin goes into the store with our email confirming our order, this very rude girl approaches her with no greeting as well as eating food even though she's working and begins to tell her that they do not have our order and then walks away. With that my cousin comes out to our car while all of the workers stare at her. She comes to me and tells me the situation, so even though I had been relaxing all day so I was in my galavanting attire with my hair in messy form I go in there craving my Bahama Buck's. We then walk in to all of the workers standing there staring, that lady still eating, and our melted order on the counter. My cousin starts laughing because of the insane situation, and all I am is frustrated. She stares at me like I'm crazy and as if I had even said anything to her. I wish I could give this a 0/10.
