The bacon was described and pictured as crispy, but what I got was soft, greasy, and anything but crispy. The sandwich looked nothing like the photos shown online or on the drive-thru menu boards. The presentation was honestly disappointing, especially considering the price point. I understand that fast food ads are styled for marketing, but there should still be some resemblance to the actual product being served. The melted cheese and bread were fine, but the bacon texture completely missed the mark. Not terrible, but definitely not what was advertised -- and that matters.

He trains and coaches all the baristas at Lamppost and has definitely made an impact in making Lamppost one of the best coffee shops in the Williamson County area. This flight had three incredible drinks: the standard espresso shot, the milk and espresso drink (a cortado), and the show-stopping signature beverage that I could drink 30 of in one sitting. Lampost has many locations in this area and they all are consistently good. What is exceptionally nice about this location is it's overall ambience... Nice vibe quiet yet welcoming. The tables and working area areas are spread out nicely across this spacious location. The coffee was fantastic. The espresso was very flavorful and not at all burnt, like some of the other competitors in the area are known for in their coffee. This trip, I tried their chocolate chip cookie, and was a little disappointed. It was dense and heavy and the taste was not that pleasing to the palate. Perhaps it was just an off day - I don't remember the cookies from Lampost being this thick before, but my memory may be failing me. Regardless. I will definitely be back for the coffee and try another bakery item to satisfy my sweet tooth.

As soon as entering the Mi Mundo, I was greeted by a friendly barista asking if I had any questions. Yes. I did have a question and I asked what region do they import their beans; Mexico, Central and South America. Perfecto! My order was simple, black coffee and a slice of pumpkin loaf. Straight to the point: coffee was served hot in an actual ceramic mug and not a paper cup. The pumpkin loaf was warmed up and it was a thick slice like at least an inch thick. Coffee was phenomenal and why I asked about their beans because that region's crops has been exceptional this year. Coffee went down smooth, rich in flavor with very low acidity. I take my coffee black with no sugar or cream and this is how good it tastes raw. The loaf was moist and it really had the fall flavors I had been craving considering it was 100 degrees outside. There are plenty of wooden tables and chairs properly spaced out throughout the venue, even with an elevated area that could serve as a stage for weekend acoustic gigs. In the middle is a large flat screen TV above a faux fireplace with two comfy chairs and a coffee table. It'll be a nice hangout once the weather turns cold... whenever that happens in Texas!
