a blue and yellow trailer parked next to a picnic table

I have been coming every year, every summer, even before I could drive, for 3 years now. It's an incredibly nostalgic place because of that - the vines, flowers, painted benches, hand-painted trailer and retro typography add further to that. It's a place that feels like summer, and it's only open during summer. But if I can "rave" that far about this place without even describing the shaved ice, that'd be doing this place a disservice. It's the best shaved ice I've ever had, and with 3 years of "experience" that isn't an exaggeration. I know they call shaved ice up in New Orleans "Sno-Ice", but this shaved ice is so fluffy that you might as well be biting into snow - they do this with an old ice shaver and blocks of ice the guy hand-freezes. As far as the flavors go - I haven't been disappointed by anything here, every syrup is natural and it shows. If I had to make any recommendations, I'd recommend the Texas Sunset (Tiger's Blood, Orange, Pineapple), the Horchata (always get the cream, condensed milk they pour as liberally as the syrup, you'll NEVER get a "dry bite" of just ice), and many more. It's cheap ($3 for a "small" that's so big it looks like an ice sculpture) the ambience is great, and the shaved ice is exceptional. Come for the free deals! Hands-down, 5 stars.

This place is great! We went here for the first time and were delighted by the flavors, prices and overall experience. We chatted with the owner who opened the food cart to raise money for college. It's only open in the summer, so don't miss out! We had a perfect summer night eating our shaved ice at the pink picnic tables. I hope to become a regular!

I ordered this just now because I'm a huge fan of quesabirria tacos…read more I specifically asked for lots of extra cilantro, lots of extra onion and limes. I don't actually have a kitchen at the moment and I just moved and I even asked the delivery driver to make sure and I don't know about you, but that dish is not the same without extra limes, cilantro and onions. They were not provided and you know what I just think that is a freaking shame people are ordering from you and they go out of their way to request the things that will really make the dish for them and anybody who eats this dish would feel the same I presume. But I asked for it especially because I don't have a kitchen right now. I have just moved and it's just honestly that not it's not that good. The birria- itself is not that good. It's not. the tortillas are not soaked in the fat from the birria sauce and and then it's like I can see in the photos here on yelp right there are limes in the photos why do you even sell your food on Uber Eats? If you don't want to take care of your customers? I don't know but you know what I'm giving you a big fat zero because number one - the taco shell itself is not soaked in the fat and the juices it was decent, but I literally had zero cilantro, zero lime, and zero onions, and I specifically asked very kindly for lots of extra cilantro, lime, and onions because that's what makes the dish for me. So yeah if you get a zero star. If you don't want to cater to your customers that you are going through the food deliver services don't even do it because sometimes people are living without a kitchen. Sometimes they have just moved and it so I'm sitting here with these tacos that are not even properly done in the first place, but I specifically asked for lots of extra lime lots of extra cilantro lots of extra onions and I actually got zero and so it's just like beefy kind of cheesy not dipped and grilled a taco. It's actually not good so you need to figure out how to take care of people or stop allowing yourself to use food delivery apps. If you can't take care of those people like me I'm sure you've done this to a lot of other people, but the thing is is that right now I'm gonna go ahead and order from somewhere else and I want to leave this review because you need to step up your game and I know I can see now that you are a food truck so you probably have some big attitude about whoever the hell you are but you know what? You failed and I specifically asked for extra lime extra cilantro extra onions because that's what makes it good to me. And honestly, if you dipped your corn tortillas into your consommé and then fried them, that would also make it good, but your beef is kind of dry and obviously your corn tortillas are just subpar. I just would not recommend this business. I mean this is a Tuesday right I could kind of understand if it was a Friday night Saturday night but no, this is just subpar and keep looking if you're looking for some good birria tacos I wouldn't go for it ever aggain. Dry meat- almost no cheese- and you can't even spare the extras- very sad. I do not recommend this food truck- stick with restaurants who can afford the brick and mortar- this place sucks.

Want I really love is that the 620 location with the growth, still has consistent palate popping flavors but also the same friendless with the employees. The vibe of this location is unreal. I hadn't been here in a while & as soon as I drove in, my spirit was dancing. This is a wonderful community feel. They have fixed the entrance to the food park so that it's even easier to enter & exit to 620. With the lights which are beautiful & the picnic tables under beautiful huge trees; it is a magical place to stay and enjoy your food.

My oh my, I was DYING to try this place for a while now! And man was it worth it!…read more The tacos and the burgers were so dang good! The breakfast tacos were FAT and graciously portioned. The burger was PHENOMENAL! My gf said it was a bit much on the flavor profile due to the different types of meats that went into the burger but I found that to be a huge PLUS! The service was great! The gentlemen who took our order was polite, enthusiastic, and welcoming. The experience overall was one that leaves one with the desire to visit again. The food park is very clean and parking is minimal but due to low traffic parking should not be an issue. It is outdoors of course so be wary of coming at peak heat hours or make sure you stay cool and hydrated. Thankfully they had some fans running and a cover over their benches which really helped.

All right, I'm a fan!…read more The footprint of this place is so spacious, Cedar Pork's practically it's own BBQ *park*! There's a smokehouse serving BBQ and a taco truck doing tacos. Private lot parking and couple sections of sheltered eating areas, as well as some not-as-sheltered. Days open seem a little in flux, but for now (January 2022) they're open F-Sat-Sun, check their site for the times. Haven't tried their BBQ yet. But dang, one of their taco dishes are up there with the best I've had. Get their 'Street Tacos Matamoros' - it's a classic Mexican street taco with carne asada, cojita cheese, diced onion, and cilantro. The 'Matamoros' style adds slices of avocado, which boosts these tacos to perfection. For this dish alone, this place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

We ordered: Kalbi Plate: exactly like home, marinated and grilled to perfection. Mac salad and rice are perfect compliments to this delicious short ribs. Korean Fried Chicken Plate: I wish the sauce would be mixed into it, but I know they did um like this to prevent it from being soggy. The delicious sauce on the side is great as a dipping sauce. Garlic Shrimp (Special): I ordered a side order of just the shrimp. I wish it was a bit more garlicky and salty, but otherwise, the shrimp are a decent size and not tiny. It is flavorful with a slight crispy texture. Teriyaki Chicken Plate: I was always an ok fan of teri chicken, but my kids loved it. Spam Musubi: exactly how it's supposed to be. Right spam to rice ratio. Ube Butter Mochi: amazing and so moist Staff here are super friendly and fast. Lots of tables for outdoor dining. There are portable potties and other food trucks in the area. You order at the window and they give you a pager to let you know when it's ready. They also sell Li Hing Mui candy, butter mochi, and Hawaii brand juices. There's ample parking, but the lot is packed with pot holes, I guess just like home too lol. Overall, decently priced for a nice portion of food. We will definitely be back to try their other delicious food items whenever we are in this are again.

The truck has had a bit of a management change recently.... the original owners moved back to Hawaii in late 2025 to take of aging parents. The food truck reopened under new management with Hawaiian brothers Kevin and Adams at the helm, maintaining the original recipes and high standards. In Hawaiian culture, a plate lunch includes two scoops of white rice, one scoop of macaroni salad, and a heavy protein. Shoyu Sugar follows this plate lunch protocol. I ordered the Kalua pork baked in banana leaves, which super moist and well-seasoned...flavor explosion in every bite. My macaroni salad was light and enjoyable to eat along with fluffy scoops of rice. In addition, I ordered the butter mochi, a gelatin like dessert with a mild taste. Pretty quiet atmosphere at the food truck park. Look forward to trying other Shoyu Sugar items...
