Spent almost 60$ and Literally 50 Minutes later all of us received our ice cream I don't care how delicious it is there's no need to wait that long not to mention I was kind of confused because I could see that the owner walked out, looked at all the customers and didn't even try to help his employees at all. They gave us the guided tour, you can choose from 4 different bases, premium milk, another milk option, coconut milk and another choice i can't remember. Than you pick a flavoring, i went with espresso, you have many toppings, all for an additional fee. Then the make the ice cream with nitrogen right before your eye, and it's fast. I asked for a single scoop and it came out very tasty and creamy. The only down side is it's about 6 dollars for one scoop...that's without any extras. read more

Three girls working who looked like they had the worst team dynamics ever (my fiancé who is a GM in retail noticed it too) were working. We stood at the register for at least 5 minutes without a single acknowledgement. We were finally greeted and our order taken. They're the only business making food I've walked into in the entire Austin metro since the pandemic started not wearing masks, and their employees are wearing gloves and REPEATEDLY touching their face and hair as we've been sitting here. Two Uber Eats drivers are also sitting on here waiting on their orders and haven't been acknowledged. For $18 for two people you'd think you'd get better service. This place won't last with customer service like this. My ice cream was sub par. Not what I'd expect for the price. HEB's ice cream is better and 1/3 the price. SubZero is a huge chain and is better. I'm pretty sure myself and at least 5 other people in this place tonight won't be back. read more

First, I'd like to say that despite many of the reviews from months and over a year ago, I believe that the staff at the Creamistry has made some SIGNIFICANT changes to how they've operated. When my wife and I walked in, everyone was so sweet, greeted us with a smile and explained how they make their ice cream and how to order. It was stellar customer service. They also wore gloves and face masks and the establishment was very clean. Second, my wife literally claims that this is one of the best ice cream places in Austin. That being said, since they make all of their ice cream from scratch, it did take us a little while to get our order. It might take longer depending on if there were people who ordered ahead of you, so be prepared to wait. Third, my wife ordered the cookies and cream ice cream with Biscoff cookies in a waffle cone and it. was. heavenly. I ordered the "Elemint" but with a coconut milk base and as a milkshake. It was okay, it was more milky than creamy, and because of that, the majority of the toppings fell to the bottom of the cup, but I still enjoyed it. Honestly, if you're looking for vegan ice cream, it might be worth checking out other places, especially with the $1 up-charge here for non-dairy options. Finally, although it was more on the pricier side, my wife and I will be coming back. Came without reading the reviews which I don't normally do. We were shopping at ikea and we're in the mood for ice cream so we came here. Didn't realize it was a liquid nitro place, I've been to a few before and am ok with it. It was OK. Here's my issues - Sizes - the smallest size is huge and there's really no way to know that if you haven't been before. We both got the small and easily could have shared one. I'm assuming they need it to be a certain size to mix to order but a regular serves two. Confusing menu - the way their menu is set up you read it backwards and their signage doesn't really explain what you're getting. Prices - this place is beyondddddddddd over priced! Even if you want to charge $6 for a plain basic ice cream fine but $1 per topping is excessive, especially in the days of all the toppings you want fro yo. Product - so the ice cream is ok. It's not at all grainy, it's definitely smooth but has a weird texture. We realized while eating it, it has the consistency of cream cheese. I ordered the Madagascar vanilla bean with strawberry topping and the ice cream literally had no flavor. My boyfriend got Nutella and it had a decent vanilla flavor but if I hadn't got strawberry topping I would have been upset about the cost. Legit tasted like nothing. If you're going to create an ice cream concept thats different than what people are used to, make your menu less complicated, explain your sizes, have a pre set topped menu and make your toppings a reasonable price. Creamistry's ice cream is definitely one of a kind, not because of the liquid nitrogen experience, but just the flavors and texture of the ice cream. My go to is Strawberry with Fruity Pebbles. I always get the signature premium base because it give the ice cream a thick consistency that I love and the fruity pebbles add a nice little crunch throughout. I'd recommend getting the topping mixed in as opposed to just placed on top so you can enjoy it throughout all of the ice cream. It's always fun to see them make your ice cream with the liquid nitrogen, but only kids get super excited to see it more than once. Noooo thank you. Fortunately, we were the only ones in line. Even then, it takes a while to get your dessert because of the lengths they have to go to to make it. There were a couple people in front of us and in total we probably waited about 10 minutes to get our ice cream, not as bad as what I was expecting given all the negative reviews were attributed to wait time and service. The staff were friendly and hard at work given all ice cream is made to order. I was impressed with how quickly they made each order. We ordered regular sea salt caramel and cookie monster as well as a fruity pebbles ice cream sandwich with frosted cookie ice cream. Each was so smooth and creamy. I could have used more crunch in the caramel and cookie orders so next time I'll get more mix ins. The sandwich was my favorite - fruity pebbles one every bite. The flavors were all strong and the consistency was great. $23 total for all of this and a water, so it is pricey but understandable given what you receive! read more

For the majority of our visit at least 5 employees just stood around in their phones chatting. When we ordered I asked about topping and add ons, the cashier would not explain nor did she allows us to do so. We would have liked cones but that wasn't offered or mentioned. When our ice cream was finished, it was haphazardly tossed on the counter and left, no mention of spoons. No thanks. Based on the service it is unlikely that we would return. I came here for the first time roughly 3 weeks ago, we explained it was our first time here and found that the staff was very rude, they didn't explain that you couldn't do any more add ons after you choose step 2, it's almost as if step 3 doesn't apply. While I chose the fruity pebbles, another person in my party was watching the freezing process happen. Once the ice cream was frozen we figured you could add step 3 of Reece's pieces or Kit Kat, the guy snapped and said that you couldn't add any of that it was extra. At that point we explained it should of been explained to us we said it was our first time coming here. Great experiences happen with the staff, if you have people working here who have attitudes it will make your customers not want to return. This place was such a fun treat for my family. Definitely a break from traditional ice cream shops. Service was friendly and the place was clean. My biggest problem with it is that they provide a lot of disposable plastic, including the cup for my affogato. I know a lot of ice cream places provide plastic spoons, but the spoons and cups are not of flimsy quality. They could easily be reused or recycled. With all the hype about how terrible plastic is for our planet, I was disappointed that this business did not choose a greener avenue, be it offering non-disposable cups or at least a recycling bin. I myself wound up taking the cup and spoons to recycle at home. I would strongly encourage this business to re-examine their practices to make them more sustainable and less harmful. read more

Since I love trying new ice cream places I decided to give this one a shot . I went for a Honeycomb with toffee which was one of their summer specials . The chocolate fudge with waffle bowl combo was delicious . The honeycomb was crunchy and fresh as an ice cream . And the waffle was crispy too . All together it went well.
