You would think that with all the places you can get ice cream in the Bay Area that I would be tired of it. But, I'm still not. You have your likes of Bi-Rite, Smitten, Mitchell's, and Marianne's. I love all of them! Then, you have your local establishments like Treatbot and Mission City Creamery. All good. Shoot, I even love the Dreyers and Breyers brands at Safeway (If you can, try the Three Twins Ice Cream brand that they carry there. Lemon Cookie is awesome!). Now, I've been to CREAM in the past. I went to the one in Berkeley (went to Koja Kitchen and was craving something sweet). The service there sucked, but the ice cream there was good. Thankfully, the same great quality was here, but the service was exponentially better! The gals who were working there the day I went were extremely friendly. Even going to the back and looking on the list of ingredients for the oatmeal raisin cookie if there were nuts. Some people would just say, "I don't know." Anyway, I got snickerdoodle cookies with vanilla ice cream for my daughter and white chocolate chip and sugar cookies for mine with cookies and cream ice cream. Like I said, they were all delicious. Came here before closing on a Thursday night. Right off the bat, I knew we made the right choice by picking CREAM. I've been to the one in Palo Alto and DTSJ and I think this one is the best one I've been to! Upon entering, we were greeted right away and Pop, Lock, & Drop It started playing! Before I could decide on my ice cream flavor and cookie choices, Grillz came on next. This place was poppin' lol I was lightweight in a bad mood, hence my late night trip for ice cream sammies, but the music brought me back to middle school days :') And the man behind the counter had awesome customer service! My chocolate chip/toffee nut cookie and Oreo ice cream combo was good, however I'd pass on the toffee nut cookie next time. I love toffee, but it looked and tasted more like double choc chip to me. This CREAM ROCKS! My bro, his friends, and I stopped by during their Grand Opening in May 2015. Yeah the line looked long, but it moved along quickly with an average wait time of 15 - 20 minutes. It also helped that Wild 94.9 was there to pump up some jams and cheer us on. For the original $2.99, I am glad that ice cream cookie sandwiches were free that day! The cookies seemed smaller here in comparison to downtown San Jose and Berkeley. Additionally, the one scoop of ice cream we received was small (maybe cause I'm a fat foodie), which was understandable because of opening day. But overall, my red velvet-chocolate chip cookies mint chocolate ice cream sandwich was absolutely divine in taste. I am not sure if they mix any addictive substance but yeah...I'm hooked! This location is more of a take-out type, since there was really no interior or exterior seating arrangement. Fast forward to July, I had the hugest craving for CREAM again. I met with my girl friend at Cafe LatTea and we hopped over to CREAM as well. This time, I got the red velvet-chocolate chip SOY mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwich-- wow what a mix-up from last time huh? Haha honestly, the soy ice cream was actually really delectable. It tasted wholesome, consistently smooth, and delightfully milky. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of their soy cream. Lastly, I swear the ice cream cookie sandwich seemed just as small as it did on Grand Opening Day. I attended the grand opening of this CREAM location alongside Michael F., and I have to say, this is a beautiful store with plenty of space to walk around (when compared to the Downtown San Jose location). My Order: I decided to go old school and get cookies and cream ice cream between two fresh snicker doodle cookies. I'm very picky when it comes to cookies and cream, but this location made a fantastic batch of cookies and cream on the day I visited, so I give them an A+. The cookies were nice and soft, and didn't feel nor taste like they were sitting around for a long time, so A+ for that. Even though it was their grand opening, the employees were working extremely fast and they did an amazing job at keeping the line nice and short. On this extremely warm day, we decided to head to Cream to try their ice cream. This is the first time that I've been to this location. It's set along Stevens Creek Blvd near Miller, within walking distance to Vallco. We quickly found a spot in the adjacent parking lot. When we walked to the store, I noticed that it was a well lit, clean and extremely friendly store. The two employees were polite and smiled the entire time we were there. For three cones and two toppings, we paid $7.97. A relative treat compared to some other places. There were a couple of tables and a bench outside. They do not have indoor seating. My only issue is that they only offer one size for their scoops. With little kids, they can only eat so much before it is tossed, or it melts faster than they can eat it. I'd like to see a smaller size that is offered. The employee did say she could scoop less but still had to charge me the regular size scoop. She did offer us a tray (container) to help with the dripping. But a kid's size (priced) scoop would be nice too. Overall, we did enjoy our ice cream very much. We will be back. read more

I was looking through, I never reviewed this place. I've been here about five times now. I came during the grand opening event and the wait wasn't even long, maybe about 10mins? Well that was fun, we got free ice cream sandwiches and everyone was happy and having a good time. I was really happy there is a Cream in Cupertino. Since then not too much has changed. Each time I come I always get greeted and everyone is nice. However this one time I came there was one girl who greeted us, but then like seriously did a flip cuz right when I told her what cookies I wanted she was like "What did you say?" With super attitude. I was taken back, I couldn't believe I was talking to the same girl who greeted me. She even broke my cookie while "pushing" it to the ice cream. It was a mess. I thought to myself, wow, that's a way to get my review down to 1 star. So I stayed away and did not want to come back. Well I came back last week since I really wanted a cookie lol. During my time at UC Berkeley (go Bears!), I've encountered a number of unfortunate tragedies. There was that copper wire explosion in 2013 (http://www.dailycal.org/2013/09/30/campus-wide-power-outage-disrupts-classes-early-monday-evening/). Then came the violent protests (https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/12/08/berkeley-protests/20116765/) and tuition hikes (http://www.dailycal.org/2014/11/18/students-rally-protest-proposed-tuition-hikes-ahead-regents-meeting/). But for me, my greatest tragedy was never taking the time to try CREAM during college. Yep, you heard it here. I lived in Berkeley for FOUR years, almost right NEXT to the CREAM on Channing and Telegraph, but never went ONCE - probably because of the lines and I thought I was too cool. But recently, I caved in. I finally went to try CREAM in Cupertino. This one was located on the corner of Stevens Creek Blvd and Wolfe. It was right next to the popular Main Street Cupertino Plaza, but not inside it so that I didn't have to worry about finding parking (CREAM has its own parking). Many of you probably aren't aware but C.R.E.A.M. is an acronym for "Cookies Rule Everything Around Me." Knowing that now, you can guess that CREAM is known for ice cream and ice cream sandwiches (but that's obvious from the pictures). Here, they have a wide variety of ice cream flavors to go along with warm cookies, fun toppings, and also their new taco shells! Ice cream here was pretty affordable; I'd say you should expect to pay around $5ish for most items. Unfortunately, they were out of their new Harry Potter Butterscotch flavor so my girlfriend and I ended up getting a scoop of Mint Ice Cream with Coffee Expresso (although the latter had a more interesting name but I forgot it). Here's what we thought of the experience: -- OKAY ICE CREAM, NOTHING FANCY -- My girlfriend hit it right on the money about the ice cream here. It was good, but nothing was any different from the usual places we've tried. I enjoyed the soft texture of both the mint and the coffee, especially since they blended nicely together. It was cold, refreshing, and delicious but I've definitely had much better ice cream elsewhere. -- A++++ SERVICE -- Service is the reason why I'd come back to this CREAM. The person helping us was SO NICE AND PATIENT. He let us try all the samples and felt so grateful every time we thanked him. I hope he gets a pay raise... -- SMALL ATMOSPHERE, GETS CROWDED -- Loved the outdoor seating, but inside the space was very tight. Particularly when there are a lot of people, it gets claustrophobic and loud FAST! I can't help but remember this really loud toddler just constantly screaming and the dad being your typical incompetent dad not doing anything about it. So all in all, I probably didn't miss much by not getting CREAM during my time at Berkeley. Besides, there were other great places nearby to satisfy my sweet tooth (see Lush). Nevertheless, CREAM does offer a suitable ice cream shop for Cupertino residents. Just don't expect it to blow your mind. Or dare I saw, FREEZE IT? One year later to the day and it's time for an update. I was their very first customer (fellow Yelper, Rick S., can confirm this) and so a return trip was in order. When I came in this evening, let's just say it was the polar opposite of opening day last year -- empty. Then again, it's a Monday night and everybody's scrambling to get home from work/school, so it shouldn't be too big of a surprise. I figured that I'd treat myself to an ice cream sandwich after a long day of work. As my picture describes, I chose banana walnut fudge ice cream between two peanut butter cookies and topped with chocolate chips and M&Ms. Pros: + Friendly cashier who prepared my order and took my payment quickly + Really tasty ice cream sandwich -- you could definitely taste the peanut butter in the cookies and especially the banana in the ice cream + The ice cream wasn't ridiculously cold. Therefore, I didn't get a brain freeze and I HATE brain freezes. Cons: - The paper that they put your ice cream sandwich in isn't too thick. If you're not careful and especially if it's a hot day, your ice cream will probably seep through. Overall, it's nice to see this place doing well and still in business on their one-year anniversary. I've had CREAM a few times and I will say that the price point is perfect, as it's definitely not too expensive. The ice cream itself is okay (it's nothing special), but the cookies are warm and delicious. The reason this gets a three stars is because there really is no difference between this place and other ice cream restaurants (which is what I usually get at CREAM anyways). It's in a good location and isn't crowded when compared to other CREAM locations, but the ice cream is only so-so. I could go to other places to get better ice cream at the same place. If you are in the mood for an ice cream sandwich however, I'd highly recommend you go to CREAM because it's pretty good for those. As for service, the servers are always young, eager to engage in conversation, and very polite in general. If you're short a few cents, they'll definitely cover it for you and they place pretty good music! Last time I came they didn't have anywhere to sit inside, but they've since added a few bar seats and a small table, which is good for when it rains and you don't want to eat outside. So happy to finally have a CREAM location in Cupertino! I like the layout and design of this location better than the University Ave one in Palo Alto. Service is friendly by all of the employees, and the same large selection of ice cream flavors and cookies is available here. While on my way to Beard Papa today with the family, I noticed CREAM. I didn't even know there was a location in Cupertino! I had actually wanted to go to the one in Downtown San Jose because I had never tried CREAM but decided on another place not wanting to deal with parking or waiting in a long line. I quickly made a u-turn and was happy to find parking right away and no line. :) Neither one of us had been before and were pretty stoked to try it. I liked the selection of cookies and ice cream. I had the Butter Sugar Cookie with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream. Little sis had Butter Sugar with Cookies and Cream w/sprinkles on top. We all had something different and were happy with the flavors we chose. When the sandwich was handed to me, I noticed that it was nice and warm. The thing that surprised me was the price. I felt the price was decent at $2.99 for a one scoop ice cream sandwich. Way better than going to Baskin Robbins! No indoor seating, but we enjoyed our sandwiches at a table out front. This is a dessert shop that specialized in various ice cream based desserts! They have regular ice cream, they also do ice cream cookie sandwiches, ice cream tacos and a whole bunch of cool funky desserts. This place is usually pretty packed too, even late at night around 9 or 10 pm there was a line. I got the cookies and cream ice cream with chocolate chip cookies to make the ice cream sandwich and I got it with rainbow sprinkes. It was a bit pricey, costing $5. Initially when I recieved it, it was quite underwhelming not aesthetic. It also looks a bit small, but it was actually quite filling and you can get many bites out of it because it's really thick. It's somewhat messy to eat so prepare for that! So when I took my first bite it was really delicious and what I was looking for. Really sweet and delicious with the ice cream and the cookie all together. The cookie is hard enough to not break apart when you bite into it, but also soft enough that it feels like it melts in your mouth with the ice cream. This place is so damn good! Nice little location, and it seems like it isn't as crowded as the other locations I've been to (San Jose & Palo Alto). My cookie was wonderfully warm, which was a great contrast to the cold ice cream and made me feel slightly less silly about getting ice cream on a cold night while catching up with a visiting ex-coworker :P I've been to other CREAM locations before, and I'm so grateful for the vegan options (although I do wish they had more ice cream flavors or at least changed out one of them--makes sense to always have vegan vanilla, but maybe switch out mint chocolate chip for other flavors every couple of months). I'm not myself a vegan, but I have an egg allergy, so fancier ice creams and cookies are always difficult to find for me--this is one of the rare places I can actually have an ice cream sandwich! I was pretty excited when they came out with the mini size, but they don't have that in vegan cookies, so I will continue with the half-sandwich (which is a pretty darn good size anyhow). The service was quick and friendly, and I always appreciate that they ask if you have any allergies before making the sandwich (probably because I have one). It's so funny how I never really went to CREAM in Davis during school. Now that I'm in the Bay Area, I visit CREAM a lot more frequently.
