Very disappointed with Crave. My husband ordered halibut and it came out as a three bite piece of halibut. We told the server, who was great, she needed to talk to her manager. Offered a side if he was still hungry, discounting his meal and a free dessert. Didn't need a side, gave him my steak. Ordered a dessert just because it was offered. Bill came, meal was not discounted. Back to manager, where it looked like the server was being challenged, came back with a $10 discount. Not looking for free things, just make right what was incorrect. Do better Crave! read more

the vibe is always on point here. walk in, and you feel like a million bucks every time. I think they should get valet parking. you just feel good. everything on the menu is pretty good here; all a little fancy, but it's all really good quality food. the steaks are wagyu, the shrimp are jumbo, the pastas are house made. you are paying for a quality you can't get anywhere else really in this area. we sat at the bar and jennifer the bartender helped us. what a doll. she was so kind to us from the start. my mom can't have pepper on her food- jennifer went in the back and made sure it would all be right for her. that means a lot to us. I ordered the chicken sandwich and my mom ordered the shrimp pasta. I didn't get photos but you can find them in the other pics of this place. both were good. the chicken sandwich was comically huge. I do not need that much food. the chicken was so soft and tender. the bread was squishy in a good way. the slaw was flavorful and seasoned just right. I did not like their fries- they are the double coated- and personally, I do not like that kind. my mom had the shrimp pasta. wow. it was so freakin good. the pasta was so fresh. the veggies in it were delicious. I got a few bites and I loved it. order that if you can't decide! for dessert jennifer made us some of the best chocolate martinis I have ever had. just wow. she really went above and beyond. for $15 each, they were worth every sip. if you want a nice place to go in the treasure valley- this is the spot every time. read more

Great patio seating. Tried the artichoke dip. Was hot and flavorful, with an interesting crisp flatbread to go with it. Also had a Crave roll, which was legit Medium rare filet was in point, and served with straightforward, yet very complimentary, mashed potatoes. Cabernet butter didn't seem to add much to the plate, but was overall good Dessert sampler included flourless triple chocolate cake, key lime pie, and peantbutter and jelly cheesecake. I decided to deviate from my normal, downtown Boise, dining experience for this trip. A good friend of mine told me that Crave was a good place to go. Called them up, found out it was a slow night due to the Boise State football game on TV. Once I walked in the door, I was greeted immediately by the front counter team, found a seat at the bar, I was greeted immediately by the bartender. Very friendly throughout. My choice was a very good local beer, a hazy IPA. I chose the house salad, which was a very good choice. Very fresh, excellent assortment of goodies on the salad. For the entrée I chose the ribs. They were on the dry side, they needed more of the cream sauce. I almost asked for more but found a puddle under the stack. A great choice, but could've been less dry, and more sauce, please. The beer was great too. Peak Juice, Western Collective. Complemented the dish very well. I enjoyed a very tasty Ok'd Fashioned cocktail for dessert. I'm told the desserts here are epic, but no one mentioned a thing about them. read more

Had a prime rib sandwich with fries which was good. Second half was a bit greasy on bottom when I got to it. They might want to put a napkin underneath to help with that. We tried this place out for a saturday lunch around 1230PM. Since the parking lot was almost completely full, we thought we may have a long wait ahead. Not So! Even though the place was hoppin, we were seated immediately. The service was excellent. Our server was fast, friendly and attentive. We had the ahi tuna and guac appetizer along with the short rib dumplings. The tuna/guac app was amazing. Fresh with a great southwestern flavor and a decent portion size too. The dumplings werent my favorite, the skin was too thick on them for my liking. The fish tacos were good. Not a very large piece of fish in each taco, but the flavor was good and they were stuffed with addons. My wife ordered the Cheeseburger with bacon. It was huge! Cooked perfectly and the bacon slices were thick, peppered and tasty...Great burger. Overall, great place to eat. A good eclectic menu, large portions and great service. Not good at all. Went there tonight and made a reservation weeks in advance, only to be put in bar table seating. Not only was the bar completely full, but there were people hovering around our table waiting for a spot at the bar. We had no privacy and didn't feel comfortable eating when there's 3 parties hovering over / around us while we eat. The food was awful. Ordered sushi and it tasted disgusting, AND they brought out butter for it to be dipped in I also had shells mixed in my sushi. Didn't like my sushi crunchy. My husband got the prime rib sandwich and he took one bite and had to wipe his entire hand off due to so much grease. The short rib dumplings were disgusting. They didn't taste good and the dumpling was so thick, and the inside was like a pate texture.. Our waitress asked us if there was anything else she could do for us, after we ate our appetizer, she never even took our entree order. We had to ask if we could order. Overall, very disappointed. My husband and I were visiting from out of town and Crave was recommended to us by a friend. We had Brandi as our server and she was fantastic (and funny). She knew the menu and when asked what her favorites were, she got so excited to share them with us. We went with it and ordered what she recommended, which was the Tuna Tartare Guacamole, Rosemary Focaccia bread, Halibut and Chicken and Cheese melt. She pre warned us as to the size of that sandwich and we still couldn't believe it when it arrived. We topped off our night with a slice of Carrot Cake and Chocolate Cake and left so full we could barely move. We can't wait to visit again and try all her other recommendations. Very nice restaurant to celebrate my graduation. A lovely lunch for a couple friends. The spinach artichoke dip was so good, reminiscent of a regular spinach artichoke dip had a baby with a really good queso dip. I got the crave tacos, I don't even really eat fish but these were so good, perfect seasoned and perfectly crispy and the fish was so flaky it was really amazing. The southwest cous cous was very good also, it did seem a little over soft but very tasty. My friend got the Mediterranean bowl and it looked so good and smelled amazing! We got the new fashion and the cheeky peach cocktails and they were both very tasty. And the culmination of our celebration was a very large nothing short of amazing carrot cake, so good and so ouch carrots could we even call it cake? Or we did so good eating carrots for dessert? Hahah it was dangerously delicious honestly. Willl be back again for sure! Despite the fact that our meat was undercooked, the server and manager did a really nice job of addressing the issue and even offered a complimentary dessert which was fabulous. Whoever visits this restaurant more than once has bad taste. $16 for a sandwich, cmon, even subway sandwiches tastes better and they are half the price. My sandwich was so greasy my entire napkin was basically dripping in grease. Also the bread was so dry. I was literally drinking water as I was chewing so I wouldn't choke on the dry ass bread. If the sandwich was good, then fine, the price wouldn't have mattered but honestly the sandwich was mediocre. The only reason I gave 3 stars was because their fries were good. read more

Tried this place for the first time for an early dinner with my mom and 6 year old. Such a pretty ambiance especially during the holiday season. Started with the short rib dumplings, so yummy!! I had the sweet potato gnocchi which was so delicious and my mom had the shrimp pasta with homemade noodles which was also very good. We especially loved their cocktails. Crave has got to be my favorite restaurant in all the valley! I come here with my family at least once every other month or so - it's the only restaurant that we frequent repeatedly. It is hard to beat with its amazing quality, service is top tier, atmosphere is the perfect blend of a bit higher end and modern. I can't say enough good things about this place. Rich the main baker in the back is the sweetest and bakes up a storm 10/10 carrot cake and 10/10 tiramisu. You are so appreciated! read more

My hubby and I went to Crave for the first time yesterday. We were pretty impressed by this tucked away restaurant. We weren't starving so we end up having a light lunch. My husband had the Thai steak salad and I ordered the chicken tortilla soup with a side lemon vinaigrette salad. We both ordered drinks. The cosmo martini was so good. The waitress was very nice and couldn't be more helpful. Wish I remembered her name. The salad, however was not great. It was too tangy and had a very sour taste. I had the waitress take it back. She promptly took it back and took it off the bill. We asked if they had a bread basket - and they do not provide that but she had the cook whip up some grilled focaccia bread. That was very tasty. Other than that - it was a good find and we will be back. All of the staff were friendly. I also like the idea that they make the bread and the pastas fresh daily. I'm not sure why it has taken us so long to visit Crave, maybe just getting old, lazy and not wanting to go out as much as we used to do. But, like many things, we had out of town guests and wanted to show off some of the wonderful place in the Treasure Valley. Thus, Crave came up and we decided it was time for a visit. Wow! We were impressed - from the contemporary architecture of the outside to the warm and inviting interior. Fortunately we had reservations because, even though it was a Wednesday evening the place was packed. We were seated immediately and Tammy, our wait person was their to greet us. From that moment on we experienced a delightful evening to drinking and dining. I will not go into our drinks or our entree selections, but we all ordered different items and all were perfect - from presentation to taste, Crave got it all right. I cannot say enough about this wonderful experience, I know this sounds kind of gushy, but it has been a long time since we have been exposed to such excellent food and service. The waitstaff, in particularly Tammy, were so upbeat and courteous, we were beyond impressed. All I can say is Crave is now our number one food destination in the Treasure Valley. read more

We sat atop the rooftop bar, cool misters blowing across the patio creating a pleasant barrier to the 90 degree weather. We sat immediately and had wonderful service for the heart of dinner hour. Servers were prompt in providing waters, but were not annoying hovering. Food was fresh, hot, flavorful, and had great texture. We ordered the tuna guacamole which was like a deconstructed sushi roll Mexican fusion! Delicious and unique. Chips were fresh and crunchy, with the right amount of salt. I ordered the Vietnamese shrimp noodle salad. Flavor explosion in your mouth! I only wish it was bigger! Was so delicious. My husband got the prime rib with the boozy butter and mash potatoes. Overall delicious, melt in your mouth meat. Delicate and moist. Highly recommend getting it medium rare. Date night success! Will defiantly come again.
