I have shopped here for years. I need less than before but I needed some pans to replace the few I had for many years that had Teflon coating. The chemicals have been banned for sale in CO and some other places for good reason. They contain "forever" chemicals linked to disease if transferred to food as pans get old and deteriorate. They can leach when very hot and when pans get scratched, they can chip into your food. You cannot even buy Teflon by mail order to CO and other states with high barriers for environmental health safety. I only had 4 pans but for use when only nonstick will do. They are very old and somewhat scratched. So I set out to look at the newer safer options in very specific sizes. And having had to return something I got that would not serve my needs I decided to shop in person as I had a ride here today. Staff approached immediately and show me some options. We weighed the ease of use and weight and handle comfort of our choices in ceramic non stick skillets. Pans are a lot more expensive these days for many reasons but this store as some at various price points in sizes I needed. After bagging the box the set came in, we saw a few updated bottle caps for wines and champagne that we needed too . Our old stick were too dried and tired to do the job anymore and these are better and well crafted and should all last a long time. We weee lucky we got what we wanted today.. a d more. Horrible place to shop at. My wife and I went in to get some Christmas decorations and we've had good experiences with other crate and barrel locations, however if I was the manger of the employees here I'd fire for age and appearance discrimination. As someone who is disabled while recovering from spinal fusion surgery I get looks as is, along with only being 24 it doesn't pair extremely well with my age. Essentially being stalked by appearance alone in the store with my wife and I wearing sweatshirts since it was cold, we were looking at some things to decorate our living room with. Going into the store and looking for 5 minutes there was already an Indian lady who came over and started doing the typical corporate training stalking asking if we had questions or what we were looking for when in reality it was a pry to figure out intentions. We had picked up a candle holder and deer, total was about $50 worth of merchandise. This triggered a F NO response with the same indian lady working there and she immediately walked over to my wife and took the 2 things we had picked up out of our hands. Never in my entire life on this earth have I had someone come over and take merchandise out of mine or my SO's hands and said we'll have to buy it up on the counter. I own my own business, am decently well off, and this genuinely p*ssed me off so much we dropped what we had and left the store when we had planned on spending around $200. On the way out, a seperate white lady followed us to the exit without me noticing, and shut the damn door on us. HAHAHA. Never go to this location, ever, ever, ever. I'll order online for now on, considering not even buying from this company anymore for their horrible antics. And to think we were discussing coming there when we had our baby and house, what a god damn joke. read more

Customer service was rude and the discount signs are not accurate. There was a pillow that was 30% off $69.95, which should've been $49. I was confused because when I rang it up, it came out to $54 or $59 with tax. I asked for help to understand this, and they said that it was only 30% off the pillow cover, not the pillow insert. I don't understand why they would advertise it to be 30% off $70 when there's no clarification on the sign. It seems sneaky. I know it's just a couple of dollars and shouldn't matter that much, but this was a splurge for me and I like my prices to be accurate. They were rude when I asked for help understanding it. The manager even said that there was a mistake on the sign and they would honor the original pricing; however, when she looked at the computer, she took that back and said, "there's actually nothing we can do". When we were leaving, the other workers were gossiping about us. Within earshot, one of the rude workers said, "they're still talking about that pillow?" We purchased three items from Crate and Barrel. Two of the three items were so badly damaged in transit, that the delivery team immediately put them back on the truck, they didn't even ask if we wanted to keep them. When the replacement items finally arrived, I should have not taken delivery because the workmanship was so poor. The two pieces both had terrible alignment of components and large panel gaps. Many years ago, C&B made quality furniture. But they seem to be cutting corners everywhere and the quality is terrible. read more

I left that store pretty bummed out because not only were my items not in stock there but nobody even spoke to me. Sigh... this WAS my favorite store. 1/10/22 7:50 pm I had the worst experience. My significant other and I walked in. A gentleman asked if we needed help. We said no. He look offended and confused when we said we were just looking. He proceeded to follow us into every aisle, watching us like we were thieves... I'm wearing a dress. My significant other is wearing pants and a sweater. We're holding bags because we've been shopping--indication that we would've been buyers. No suspicious behavior from us, just browsing. After seeing him in the 3rd consecutive aisle following us, we gave up and left because of the disrespect and stalking behavior by staff. He even turned and watched us as we left the store. Their housewares are so awesome and since I am a major sucker for table lamps this place has me 'Oooo'ing and 'Awww'ing before I go. So much to want and so little money to spend it on! Love C&B stuff. Priced at a premium - but you typically get what you pay for, including the associated service. I have purchased in Chicago, Oak Brook, IL and Denver, Cherry Creek, and the experiences have been fine. I'm not sure what it is about this store - nicely appointed - items displayed well - but they just don't seem to know the status of items that your trying to order. Two recent examples: - "Great news, looks like we have it in stock and can get it here within a week" - then go to order - "not sure what happened, but the item is no longer available, looks like 6 weeks lead time"??? - "Your item is in stock - and might even get on the truck from Chicago for Thursday delivery to store, worse case an extra week". (This was on Friday, Aug 28) Called today (Sept 8th) scheduled for delivery next Thursday Sept 17th". What? Give your people some training! Cherry Creek, here I come. read more

Unfortunately, the Crate & Barrel at Flatirons has the dubious distinction of receiving my very first public negative review - ever. My general philosophy is to keep my negative experiences to myself - or to share them as a heads-up to my friends. All of whom agree with my assessment of this store, btw. Then I happened upon the previous review about the rude sales staff here, and I just had to back her up. Never in my life have I been treated so dismissively by sales associates - every single time of the five times I returned. And by a different person each time! It's like an arrogant, condescending - and just unbelievably dismissive - attitude is a pre-requisite to being hired there. I kept going back because I was refurnishing my home, and I like the Crate & Barrel product. Up until my experiences at C&B Flatirons, an encounter with a sales associate at Printemps in Paris was my worst ever. No more. Whoever manages this store needs to revisit what they envision as important and valuable on their watch. EXCEPTION: When I would pick up my furniture at the loading dock, the employees in the warehouse could not have been nicer, nor more helpful. All of them. Every time. Crate & Barrel has disappointed our family to the point where we now shop at Pottery Barn at Flatiron's Mall most of the time. Unfortunately we had to order a matching chair for a breakfast room set that we purchased at Crate & Barrel in another state. We ordered it online because a store associate made it clear to my wife that it was a hassle to order in the store (yes!). When the chair arrived at the store, we received a notice online telling us we could pick it up at the store indoors, or at the rear dock. Since it was a relatively light chair, I went indoors yesterday, Saturday, September 6th. Two store associate's were idly chatting, so I asked if I might interrupt and asked a 30-something male hipster with long hair and a beard if he would help me pick up the chair in-store, per company policy. He made it clear he wouldn't. He said he would alert the back room, but I later found out at the loading dock that he hadn't. I did pick up the chair at the loading dock, but I was reminded once again how lazy and unhelpful the "sales" employees at Crate & Barrel really are. read more

Crate and Barrel is a lovely store. My wife and I even registered there for the wedding (don't tell, but it's only because they had a day where they gave away free waffles. I'm a sucker for free waffles.) It really is a fine store. They have a bit of everything for the home. But for each of those things, you can surely do better elsewhere. I mean you name it. ...well, since I'm not hearing anything from your end, I'll name it myself. Furniture: The best small dining table I've ever seen was at Crate and Barrel. But I bought it from Crate and Barrel OUTLET for less than half the price. Sure the outlet is still Crate and Barrel ... but I'm not reviewing the Outlet here. Go there instead. C&B: 0 - OtherGuys: 1 Linens: Fabric, bed linens, table linens, pillows, and the like are all available. If you want fabric, go to the outlet agian. They have amazing prices on the scrap bin, too. If you want pillows or other linens, you will find better prices at Target, or better quality at a high end store. C&B: 0 - OtherGuys: 2 Cookware, Kitchenware, Flatware, Barware: They have all sorts of great things, but like with the linens, you can find better prices and better quality elsewhere. If you want better prices, again with Target. If you want better quality, try Williams Sonoma or your favorite department store. 0-3 Housewares: Yeah, everything else. Same as above. I just had to separate the above so I could pimp Williams Sonoma. They're good. Green: Everybody wants to save the world these days, right? Ok, that's a hyperbole, but I know you do, at least. You don't want Chinese lead, labor, or craftsmanship, not to mention increasing our debt to them. You don't want natural resources devastated. You want things made from responsible materials in responsible countries. That means you DEFINITELY don't want to shop at C&B. Let me tell you a story. We'll call it "The Madeleines: A Tale of Betrayal" Once upon a time, I told my wife that for Christmas, I was promising her home baked Madeleines. As we were moving shortly after christmas, and I hated the kitchen in our then abode, she agreed that it could wait til the spring after our move. Once the move was complete, I went to C&B to purchase that nice madeleine pan, only to learn that it was (cue dramatic music) Made in China. Distraught, yet determined to follow through on my promise, I made an epic quest 3 stores down the hall of the mall to Williams Sonoma. The lady there introduced me to their Madeleine pan, which was made in France, where the worker was likely paid a living wage to make it, and it was quite likely made of much higher quality material. The astronomical cost of this higher-quality, more-responsible purchase was ... $4 more than at C&B. Complain all you want, but $18 vs $22 for something we'll have for the rest of our lives is just a no-brainer. I got the French pan. Madeleines are FRENCH COOKIES. It's the right thing to do. Summary: Let me reiterate that C&B has a great selection of lovely things. I have in fact purchased a number of goods from them over the years. It's just that I bought the overwhelming majority of them from the Outlet. No there isn't one in CO, but you can save up for your next trip to the Bay Area (Berkeley) or South Florida (Sawgrass mills west of Ft Lauderdale), etc. If you want better stuff, go somewhere better. If you want cheaper stuff, go to Target. (Check the labels for country of origin!) If you want Chinese stuff, go to Target or Wal-Mart. read more

I love their selection in the kitchen section. I bought my first Le creuset on a sale from here and my first and only molcajete too. I also found the perfect gift for Hubs on our anniversary. I gave him the Vinturi wine aerator. The peeps at the store helped me select it. He is usually not very happy when I try to buy some "wine related" stuff. But for this he even said "wow! thanks". That is huge - coming from the wine snob! I don't think I would buy the furniture from here because that is not my style, so I can't comment on something I haven't bought or dont plan to buy. I have shopped at CB off and on since the 80's when I lived in Massachusetts. After today however, it's going to be more off than on for me. I was in the store and saw a spiralizer that I had been eyeing online - unfortunately it cost 40% more at CB. So I checked the website and saw they have a Price Match Guarantee. I asked the associate and while she didn't think that they would match Amazon, at least she agreed to check with someone when I persisted. The next two people who spoke with me were dismissive. Although I literally had the policy in hand, they were firm that CB didn't match online retailers and even asserted that they could not compete that way. Indeed, if part of the reason to go to a physical store is for customer service, whether they price match or not, they will not be able to compete with that attitude that I felt from them. I relented and purchased the spiralizer anyway and told the associate that I would follow up with corporate. I would expect some acknowledgement at that point, maybe even an apology for being unable to resolve my dissatisfaction, but again, my experience did not seem to matter. After I got home, I logged into my CB account and got on chat. I explained the issue, the rep confirmed that they do price match to online retailers (and that this is true of the physical stores as well), and offered to refund the difference. This was much better service than what I had at the Broomfield store. I wanted to provide this feedback directly to the Broomfield store manager, but I can't find an email address contact, so this is seems to be the next best thing. I regret that I can't get back the time that I spent on this, but I would like the store to at least follow through and train their employees on the policy. read more

I've been to this location a handful of times and I have never received WORSE customer service. I walked the entire store and not one associate spoke to me. I had to actually approach an associate, Kristine, to check me out. During the check out process she did not utter one word to me, simply "is that it?" .....seriously? I requested to speak to the manager and he was immediately condescending. I told him my issues and he LITERALLY SCOFFED at me and said "well we have the best customer service ratings in the district." He was hardly apologetic and completely unprofessional. Looking for a whole mantle display. The first salesperson had no idea what she was doing. She was saying "well...you can do this or this or this or this or this...."without taking a breath or asking what I thought. Sales 101-don't overwhelm the customer with too many options. Then the furniture section seemed off limits or something. She had to ask them to look up a price and grab something I saw earlier. Then when I was with the furniture guy she took off. I went back with some items and she just looked at me from afar not helping at all. Then some other sales person tried to help and was obviously up selling to his little hearts content. This actually was refreshing after her deadbeat sales. Not the best C&B due to the salespeople!! read more

I usually shop at the Cherry Creek or Park Meadows store but happened to be up that way so I stopped in to return a few items. Worst experience ever. First of all, could not find a sole for almost 10 minutes who could do the return. Secondly, once someone took the time to help me it was the longest return ever and I had the receipts and the order number on my phone. Lastly, there was one item which did not have a receipt and the clerk said she could look it up. She then asked me for the receipt, I said you just said you could look it up - she literally said" I never said that". Even if you didn't, which you did, you should have just said I am sorry let me take care of that for you. I am the customer. Completely unacceptable behavior and I will never go to that store again. read more

I recently moved to Colorado and have made many furniture purchases from this Crate and Barrel store, and one thing I have learned is that no matter how small the item is that you buy from here, you'll be waiting at least 3 weeks to get it. Basically, this store (and maybe most Crate and Barrels) keep nothing in stock. Everything that is on display has to get shipped from their primary warehouse in Illinois to the Broomfield store before you can pick it up. Some things, like my bed or patio furniture, I can maybe understand the MONTH wait for it to get shipped from Illinois. However, I recently purchased two lamps, both in stock at their warehouse in Chicago at the time of purchase, and I have had to wait over two weeks for them to ship to the Broomfield store. Lamps aren't big... why aren't they just kept at the store? More importantly, why do they wait two weeks before shipping an item from Illinois? A rug I ordered isn't expected to get to delivered to their store until the middle of December (three months after ordering it). None of this stuff is custom... it's just your standard catalog stuff. What is the point of having a store at this location if they never ship orders from the warehouse to it? read more

Up until this evening, I have been an extremely loyal Crate & Barrel customer. I am a CB credit card holder, and have come to understand the quality and craftsmanship expected in a CB product. I purchased 6 incredibly expensive picture frames less then a year ago. Over the past 6 months almost each one has had the glue adhesive loosen, and fallen off of the wall. I went to our local CB store, Flatirons Crossing, and spoke with a helpful associate to understand the process of exchanging the frames. Knowing that I purchased the frames at a Denver location, she assured me that they would be able to handle the situation at Flatirons. Tonight I took the frames to the Flatirons store where I was met with Cory, the General Manager. He was arrogant, dismissive, and showed zero interest in helping me exchange (*not RETURN!) the frames. They were defective. I had the receipt on my phone. My receipts (*I purchased them, then returned and re-purchased them the very next day to take advantage of a sale) somehow didn't match up to those represented within his system. So despite me holding the Crate & Barrel generated receipt and showing him clearly how the frames were defective, he completely dismissed me and showed zero interest in helping me swap out the frames. He told me to drive down to Cherry Creek and deal with it there. Oh, and when I requested that he call Cherry Creek to see if we could work to a solution with someone over the phone, he told me 'no'.....? I have never written a review of this nature, however, it is important that other customers are aware of this lack of regard for customer service. I would give this review and my experience with Cory zero stars if I could as my time was totally taken advantage of this evening. Tomorrow I will be canceling my CB credit card and in the future will invest in home decor companies that truly value customer experience. Note to Cory and CB: A defective product should be handled immediately, no questions asked, especially when receipts are presented to verify purchase. End Of Story. read more

My wife and I love the furniture from Crate & Barrel but out of the 3 pieces of furniture we've ordered all three have been damaged beyond repair from their delivery department. If you plan on ordering a piece of furniture from them see if they have it in stock first and make sure you check it fully for damages. Their delivery department obviously doesn't care about their pieces and it will most likely show up damaged. I hope they fix their delivery system, but I doubt they will and that is why my wife are going to shop elsewhere. read more

My husband and I registered here for our wedding in store - unfortunately we didn't receive any of our gifts ordered for delivery from our guests as they we were sent to my husband's old address. The employee who helped us register failed to ask us any information about delivery for gifts, etc. So now we're trying to fix the mess. She also went online to check another competitive store to see if we could find something else that may have worked better since my fiance was not as sure as I was about the product. I bought a gift on the wedding registry in MAY 2018 with the help of Donna at the Flatirons store and had it mailed. I never received any confirmation or tracking info period from C & B. The wedding was in JUN. In early OCT I still hadn't received a thank you note from the couple which is so out of character for them. When I inquired with the grooms mother I found they never received the gift! I called the store and Susan said she would look into it and call me back. Four days later I had to call her back. She said they just sent the gift! No apology or explanation. No tracking info or confirmation for this order either and oh by the way, the couple have moved into their new home together which is not the same address when I placed the order back in MAY that they finally sent this new order to! No offer to recall and send to the correct address. This original address was her Aunt's home, now in another state from where they live so even had to go through the added expense to get the gift where it belonged. I WILL NEVER order from Crate & Barrel registry again and advice anyone else not to! How embarrassing to try and track this down not to mention the incredible amount of time I had to spend to get his nearly correct! Customers, if you take the risk to use this registry method and don't get that thank you note, check with the intended recipients, even though it's a bit of mud on you face if they didn't send the thank you yet. You paid for it, make sure they receive it! I got a thank you note yesterday...OCT 30th...5 months later, from the Bride who wrote it within 2 days of finally receiving the gift from C & B. And I was also aware it was 8:50. I have worked in retail and know how annoying those lingering customer can be. It's OK. I've purchased lots of small items and a few furniture pieces from here. Scandinavian Designs is better for furniture.

We haven't purchased much from C&B, as we're hearty Scandinavian fans, but all of our formal stemware has been purchased here. Let me tell you - it is GORGEOUS and unlike anything I've found elsewhere. We only bring it out around the holidays, as our red and white wine glasses are about a foot tall with very thin stems; quite fragile, but perfect for a formal sit-down dinner with close friends and family. After dinner, we all generally retire to the family room/kitchen area and break out the uber-classy champagne flutes for mimosas and reminiscing. We purchased 12 white, 12 red, 12 champagne and 12 short-stemmed glasses we use for ice water (the type you would see in a "fancier" restaurant) for a total of about $325 (about $7/glass). This coming Thanksgiving will be our 3rd year using the stemware and we've only lost 1 champagne flute (which C&B replaced at no cost the first year). I've looked at NUMEROUS other stores looking for those perfect sets of stemware and C&B had exactly what we had in mind. I would prefer to not spend $7 on a glass, but when it's this fancy, this unique and is only used for special occasions, it all becomes worth it. read more

I purchased a floor model sofa, they processed my payment, set up a delivery date. I went home and committed my current sofa to someone else. Received a call 5 days later that they would not be delivering my sofa until a replacement came into the store. They were not sure when that would be but probably 3 weeks or so. Let me get this straight. Crate and Barrel is using my sofa to merchandise their store. Since it was purchased as a floor model and "as is" what do I do when it shows up a month later with a defect that wasn't there? Meanwhile I am left with an empty spot on MY floor and limited seating in my home. I have worked in the furnishing industry in the past and our policy was that when something was purchased off the floor it was pulled immediately to prevent any further damage and delivered to the customer in a timely manner. Clearly the customer does not come first. Truly disappointing. read more

I had 5 star service at C&B working w/ Debra Simpson, a furniture associate who works there. I was planning on buying a few couches, end tables and a coffee table, but hadn't decided where to purchase from. I met Debra while "just looking," and right away she struck me as very low-pressure.
