The Brie chicken sandwich was packed with flavor, and the sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked, hot, and fresh. The portions were generous, and you definitely get your money's worth. What really made this place stand out was the customer service. Abi, the cashier, was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. She greeted everyone with a smile and made every customer feel right at home. It's rare to come across someone who genuinely enjoys making people feel welcome, and she truly made the entire experience phenomenal. Truly a magical experience!! Just happened to be passing by and was lured in by the signs for coffee and pie. They have a huge selection of both savory and sweet. Ended up with a piroshki and a latte, both were absolutely amazing!!! As I was eating there, David entered and started setting up for their paint night. He's quite the character, charming, delightful and talented so of course I had to join the class and this was by far the best paint night class I've ever done!!! This wasn't as strict as other classes I've done, like he gave us a template and then let our creativity flow!! Others I've done are more like paint by numbers and everyone's looks identical. Decided to stop in here on Mother's Day for a quick lunch. There was a painting class going on and it was really nice to be able to sit down, eat and also enjoy the business of the class in the background. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and some water. The sandwich was delicious! I would definitely come back here to try out some more of their menu options. The downfalls... it was really hot. I'm not sure if that's the norm or not since it was our first time. Secondly.. it took forever to order. The two young ladies were stocking the fridge behind the counter.. said hi and then continued to stock the fridge. Finally another woman from the back came to the front to help us. We randomly popped in one weekend to try this establishment out. There was an art class being taught, but we were welcomed in. The initial ordering procedure was a little odd, but it was straightened out. I ordered the poulet brie chicken sandwich. I have to say it was a very tasty option. It was hot and fresh. I also tried the kale salad that was also fresh and made to order. The style of the restaurant was really neat. You dine amidst the artwork aligned on the wall. Made for a cool environment. I will say one negative was how hot it was in the restaurant. Easy fix though. I'd try this restaurant again and I'd recommend giving it a try. Crafted Palette is such a delightful spot! I'd been curious about the cafe/art venue for a while before visiting and decided to meet a friend for coffee and breakfast. We met at Crafted Palette on a wintry Sunday morning. The place was empty and we were the only patrons for the duration of our meal, with the exception of someone picking up a to-go order. They have a surprisingly extensive menu; think flavored croissants, breakfast plates, sandwiches, salads, etc. and a small but varied coffee and drink menu. I ordered the shirred eggs with a side of bacon and a hot chai latte. I really enjoyed the shirred eggs. With the toast, it was a large portion and well worth the price. The bacon was a tad overcooked for my liking. The chai latte was also delicious: creamy, sweet and another large serving. The service was great and the interior was nice and welcoming with art all over the place. I'm excited to return for breakfast or lunch, especially as someone who works downtown! I would also love to go back for dinner, happy hour or a class after seeing their appetizers. Crafted Palette surprised me! I can't wait to return to this Reno gem! read more

I am a huge researcher before I will go somewhere to eat, so I was a little hesitant seeing the concerns about the paper plates, over done bacon blah blah blah. They have obviously addressed those by now having dishes for there plates and silverware for the utensils. So that was taken care of. Now for the food. Excellent all around!! The latte and hot cocoa were so creamy. They do have a couple sugar free options for syrup. Taste is on point. The bacon...Yummo is all I can say! The hashbrowns were crispy and delicious... My husband said his eggs were perfect. Runny but not slimy. French toast was great too. Super friendly staff. Very attentive. Clean n eclectic atmosphere. 10 thumbs up!!!! read more

I've been here before for their Paint and Sip classes and on Wine Walks, but it was my first time coming here specifically to eat. I was pleasantly surprised at the extent of the menu. So many options, both hot and cold. I got a butterscotch latte and the Crafted Croissant, which was nice and flakey, stuffed with ham and cheese and topped off with a delicious creamy sauce. The vibe is really chill, with cool "coffee shop" music in the background and lots of original artwork on the walls. The staff was friendly. I just moved down the street and this will definitely be a regular go-to for me now. read more

What a wonderful hidden treasure! We stopped for breakfast on our way to the Amtrak on March 20, and it was wonderful! We were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming young lady who took the time to explain all they offered on the menu. She made me an amazing vanilla latte-way better than Starbucks! The stuffed French Toast was amazing! Syrup was provided, but not needed. The scrambled eggs were also done very well and served by whom I assume was the chef. My husband had the shirred eggs, which he described as "Perfect and yummy. A perfect portion of bread and eggs." And the ambience so fun and unique! It was fun to walk around to look at all the art as we waited for our food and as we ate. They have paint parties Wednesday-Sundays. I wish I had known that before so we could have participated! I got a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant to go to eat on the train back to California (I haven't eaten that yet, but I'm sure it will be good!) I don't see myself returning to Reno, but if I ever do, I will definitely go back there and add Paint Night to the itinerary!! read more

Ive been here 2 times with my family and they have been a ton of other times without me. The food is good and affordable. The drinks are great and not expensive. There is plenty of parking after 6pm and free on Sundays. No need to park at the parking garage. Its about 30 dollars with a painting class with no drinks or food included. read more

After not getting to do one last year, I was determined to do a paint and sip for my birthday activities this year. Ironically we chose this location based on the time, then were called a day or two prior to move the time- but thankfully it worked out. We were actually the only ones in the class for this day, which was honestly more fun for us as we felt more relaxed and less pressure. Our instructor was funny, kind, and although she made mistakes she taught us how to overcome and fix it. She gave us nice breaks to catch up and took our photo together at the end. My boyfriend was nervous for this class in particular because the painting style seemed difficult, but our paintings turned out fabulous. We couldn't believe that's actually what we painted- we were so proud. Overall an extremely fun time with great memories. read more

This was my first time here for a class. I've always stopped by here during a wine walk or for a quick bite. The class seemed a bit disorganized. The class was at 7, but doors didn't even open until 7. So we didn't actually start painting until about 730pm. If you've done a paint class before, you know how it goes. We were a bit disappointed that we were not given more direction. We know that artistic freedom is needed, but we felt at some points we were falling behind or left out. The drinks were good and so were the snacks. Maybe I'll need to try another class in the future read more

I came here a few years ago for one of the wine and paint events which was excellent! We had such a great time and loved our instructor. He was a wonderful teacher, fun to talk with, and even played the saxophone for us as we painted (he was from NOLA)! We had some of their pies while here that time and I remember how amazing they were. I've been meaning to come back for more of the pies but am not in this part of downtown very often. Finally made it back recently and the pies were as good as I remember! They do have a lot of other menu items but I especially enjoy their pies. I got a savory buffalo chicken pie, my friend got a savory breakfast pie, and we split a sweet lemon pie for dessert. All the flavors were delicious! Slightly crisp crust on the outside but soft and stuffed full on the inside. They are a good size, enough to satisfy some hunger but not really enough to fill you up as a meal. More of a tasty snack! The guy working was super friendly and seemed genuinely interested in talking to us and helping us. It took a little longer than expected to get our pies but we didn't mind waiting since everyone was so kind and the pies were so good! This was my second time here for guided painting. They started close to 7:30 even though it says 7. Several attendees were late. The painting started out very rushed with little guidance which I didn't remember from the last experience. Eventually the instructor slowed down and began to communicate more with the attendees. We snacked on a chocolate croissant and strawberry flowers, both were great. I wish they validated parking for the garage but that may be costly for them. read more

So I've never been in here, but I honestly should. It looks cute. I've only popped in during the wine walk but never sat down and enjoyed all it had to offer. I was sick one day and a really nice friend of mine sent me food from here. And when I say he sent me food, I opened my front door and I'm pretty sure he sent me almost everything on their breakfast menu. At least 6 entrees. He said he chose it as if he was eating it and I don't think he realized that I'm also 2 feet smaller than him. Lol. Every. Single. Thing. Was AMAZING and unique! I seriously couldn't believe I've never even gave this place a try. There was a garlic croissant thing that I was skeptical about but ended up being my favorite thing. Who does not love that older press where coffee used to come from. You don't hit a button and the machine does the work of making your coffee. This little cafe is inviting, while you bask in the glory of the warmth from the inside; the outside is something special too. In Reno they believe in conserving the past. This building while not on the national registry for its age still tells a story. In the days of yore, Reno was a mining town. This building still has the actual carriage house in the back, currently used for storage. Make sure when you stop in to take a seat in the back out side and admire the days of long past. The buggy would pull up, not a modern day car. It's fun to remember. Now back to the current times, they offer so much here. Painting and coffee. Now the painting is an incredible experience that we did not have time to do. You can see all the prior voices and pictures that adorn the walls. They offer this painting experience with your choice of alchemy beverage or bubbles. A full bar with experienced people are awaiting your choice. Come for coffee and stay for breakfast or lunch. They offer so many different choices and options for eats . The food that they serve is all prepared on sight. The muffins are delicious and made here too. So much thought has gone into the selections offered for ways to eats. While out exploring we ran across this quaint little cafe. As you walk through the doors admire the walls with all the art hanging around. The brick walls tell stories from days past. Sit and relax awhile. The coffee is epic. The food great. As we sat here the pane glass windows shine a rainbow on the coffee that we were enjoying. Happy is a state of being that we all can embrace. I don't know why it took me so long to find this place, it was amazing. I got the Butterscotch latte and have been craving it since I left this place. Would definitely come back just to get that drink because it was a new taste for me and very enjoyed it. What a cute little surprise here in Reno! If you walk down West St., this place is easy to miss. It's really close to the Truckee River Walk, so a nice place to visit after a nice stroll around that area. I got the strawberries & cream croissant. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, and I thought it was overpriced when I paid. But then when it came out and I tasted it, the price became well-justified. Creamy and light with warm strawberries inside a flaky croissant--it was sooo good! I definitely ate it too fast, lol! I know where to go for a good croissant again when I visit downtown Reno. I did not have a good experience here. I think their main business in the day is take out orders and even though I was sitting at a table and had prepaid a service tip my food came packed to go. I found the coffee kinda late night in the office burnt. There were not alot of peaches in the pie and I found the dough rather gooey. Generally speaking it's not a Steven E. crafted place. However, it's incredibly comfy and pretty isolated at 7:30 am on a Wednesday. I really dig the layout here. The walls are covered by incredible modern works of art by local artists, established and up-and-coming. All available for purchase, too. The tables are pallets that have become paint-covered over time. It's authentic down to the paint splattered floors. Hungry me grabbed a $6.00 breakfast sandwich and a drip coffee. The sandwich was a tasty croissant with egg, cheese and bacon. No problem with the quality. Small portion on a large croissant, but, don't lose sight of the wonderfully inviting atmosphere. I found myself focused on the passers-by thru the front window while jamming to Journey radio in the background. Ironic, because I'm not a big Journey fan. I can see how most folks could totally get lost with all the impressive paintings. I wanted to spend far more time here. If that weren't enough, I had great conversation with Kristin. I tried crafted palette via Grubhub this am.. I tried the stuffed French toast that's filled with sweet cream and strawberries. It was delicious! Not overly sweet but just right! I had mine with a side of bacon, that comes complimentary with your order. I also ordered the chicken pesto quiche. It's crust was buttery and flaky, yum! I liked it very much and actually would have preferred more pesto on there! Don't be afraid to add more guys, turn that quiche green;) I ordered an additional side of bacon and a latte. My real complaint was the bacon, they burned it black and I like my bacon crispy but there was so much burnt areas it made it unpalatable unfortunately. I plan on eating there in person very soon, I would like to try other items they offer. Such a cool spot! Searching for a good brunch place on a Saturday is a hard task and a friend told us that this location is not just a paint and sip and actually has great food. A bunch of my girlfriends showed up here and were pleasantly surprised at how empty it was and how cheap the prices were. I got a fruit compote waffle and veggie hand pie and both were deeeelicious. Only $15 for a breakfast like that was a steal. The waffle wasn't too sugary or soggy and the hand pie was such a great blend of flavors. Staff was very chatty and they did mess up one of our orders but were very gracious about it and swapped it out with ease. Definitely going to be a new breakfast spot for me. read more
