My friends and I came here after an appointment. It has been on my "to try" list for awhile, but it was always just a little too far to justify going. Since we were closer, we decided to check it out. I'm glad we did! It was nice inside. The weather was a little chilly, so they didn't have the windows open on the patio, but I always like that option in restaurants for the summer. The fresh air is key! For an appetizer, we got the smoked chicken artichoke dip. That was amazing! The smoked chicken elevated this classic appetizer to a whole new level. It was so hard to not eat the whole thing myself, but I knew I needed to share. For my entree, I got the 815 which was very tasty. It was fresh and savory. The ciabatta bread was a perfect pairing for this sandwich. It was rather big, so I could only eat half, but then I had something to take home with me. The service was good and our waitress was very attentive. The only downside was I happened to sit right in front of the AC and it was freezing. First time here and the atmosphere is extremely friendly. Very family friendly as well, not your typical intimidating sports bar. The portions are huge!! Wow, I'm from out of town and visited with friends it was a Friday night and their were 12 of us so understandably it was a long wait time for a table big enough (over an hour) we decided to have a drink at the bar, Katie was serving she was awesome, made us feel like we were the only ones in the place when helping us, definitely an asset! When our table was ready our server was on point and attentive ( I'm sorry I didn't get your name you were great) everything was above my expectations especially with a group this large in an obviously successful packed restaurant we quickly received our food everything was delicious. The food here was so good I really liked the atmosphere-laid back and chill. although the parking lot was packed we were seated in no time. Our waitress was training a new hire and honestly I kinda liked having two waitresses lol they both did a great job! Ordered traditional wings to go (2 orders- traditional wings, selected a wet sauce for both) picked them up for home had no idea they were smoked wings (doesn't say that in the description online.) they weren't tossed in the sauce, they were so chewy that they weren't edible. So now instead of being happy eating wings I'm annoyed and stuck with PB&J and out $40 for food we couldn't eat. EDIT TO ADD! My fiancé and I were headed back from our vacation in Buchanan, MI when we decided to stop for lunch. We found this place thanks to social media and wanted to give it a try. The place was HUGE inside--we had just come back from camping so we opted to eat inside vs. on the large open patio. Our waitress (actually two of them working together!) brought us huge menus and asked us for our drink orders. We went with simple Cokes but the beer and cocktail list was huge and we want to come back and try speciality drinks sometimes soon. We shared the beef rolls to start. They were HOT--both in temperature and in spice level--and absolutely sensational. The ranch they were served with was a cooling yet zesty companion. My parter ordered the burger of the day--an apple, Brie cheese, and slightly spiced sauce--and devoured it. The fries it came with had Parmesan cheese and garlic sprinkled on them, and were clearly fresh from the fryer. I had their Mac and cheese, which was covered in their "pig candy" bacon and pulled pork. Sen. Sa. Tion. Al. I swear I died and went to heaven. With my main course, I was also served a "house salad." Normally this would be the expected ice burg with cheese/tomato/cucumber and whatever dressing they have. This was NOT the norm. It was a bowl of spinach with cranberries, goat cheese, more of the sweet and spicy "pig candy," all in a legit delicious poppyseeds dressing. We were too full for desert and had a lovely amount of leftovers to snack on later after we finish our long drive. We're obsessed with Craft'd and whatever genius runs that kitchen. I will start this by saying that I am very fair in my reviews and even go out of my way to overlook small things most times!! I arrived and could tell like most places on Jan 2 they were busy due to people being off work, but there were seats at the bar and I was starving so figured that would work. The place was definitely hopping and the bar staff were constantly on the go, but they took care of me in a timely fashion. I ordered a burger and upgraded to fries from the chips. The food came out in what was probably a normal time for how busy they were. Gabbed a fry and it was barely warm and had already gotten real soggy and lacked any salt. Took a bite of the burger and it was like warm as well like it all had been sitting the window for more than a few minutes, but with how busy they are and how hungry I was I just said screw it and chowed down. As I had a few more fries they just became Colder an mushier, I noticed that they were really covered in oil and that there was now a pool of oil at the bottom of them which was definitely not appetizing. I left the rest of the fries and finished the burger not because it was good (mediocre at best) but that I was hungry and kind of in a time crunch. Paid my bill and left a good tip (not the bartenders fault the kitchen staff is slacking) and left with thinking that McDonald's would of been better and only about $10 and not $40 (with a beer and coke). With all of the great places around I won't be back (which is too bad because I only live 3 minutes away). read more

We always hit up Craft'd when we come to Joliet to visit family. We usually have a table of at least 8, sometimes more. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. We have thoroughly enjoyed our meals (all of us) and adult beverages , and received excellent, attentive service each time we visit. Tonight, Richard was our server, his area was slammed, he was attentive, friendly, was extremely knowledgeable about all the menu items when we had questions and our glasses did not go empty (very important). First time trying this place and was pretty disappointed. We got to our booth and there were so many flies (and a bee) flying around the table and windows that we asked the waitress to move. When we told her our reasoning, she said "oh yeah, that table always has a ton of flies." Ok - kind of alarming. I get the doors are open but I've been to plenty of places that have open doors and do not have this many bugs flying around the tables. Second table was better. Ordered drinks and the drinks were really good - the only reason why I'd give 2 stars. When we ordered our food, I asked if I could have one burger patty instead of two and was told no. I thought that was kind of odd - cook one patty instead of two? But whatever - I'll pick it off. Waitress was very nice. Ordered the Italian beef egg rolls - very meh. Also didn't get any plates with our app so we were spilling all over the table trying to reach the app and also eat. Burgers came out - buns were very soggy. Clearly not the right bun for the patty and toppings. Patty tasted cheap and was not flavorful. I paid $3 extra for Brussel sprouts that were burned completely black. Overall, not impressed. Was ignored by staff and floor manager for easily 15 minutes, I travel alone and work on the road so maybe it's because it was busy and I'm a guy with a backpack sitting at a table alone. After going up to bar and letting them know I intended on drinking and eating in their establishment they sent a server to my table and I had an enjoyable experience. Asked for no onions due to the smell and taste of them being an extreme pregnancy aversion and low and behold my turkey burger was put on a bed of cooked onions. Also looks like scallions might be cooked into the patties as if that wasn't enough, I had hope to put barbecue sauce (or that the jam that was supposed to be on the burger) would save the taste for me, but the jam wasn't on it and the barbecue sauce i paid for wasn't included. There's no other way to say this - Craftd is our new favorite. We've never had a bad meal here. The food (all of it) is just excellent. Food comes out hot and the portions are unbelievably generous. You can't beat the soft pretzel, dry-rubbed boneless wings, Chicago beef rolls, or uncommon burger. Service is generally good. It gets understandably busy during peak weekend dining hours. You do have to stay on top of the host stand. For instance on Saturday evening a young blonde hostess told us it would be a twenty minute wait for our party of four. We agreed to wait at the bar and one person in our party noticed that she sat no less than three other parties of four in the short time we waited. She ultimately forgot about us, but we ended up being seated and it was fine. I do wish they took reservations for weekend dining, as the restaurant fills up quickly. read more

Made my way back in after not being here for about ten years. Very little has changed. I've enjoyed our visit each time. Craft'd has a huge food menu. If you can't find something here chances are you're overly picky. Their beer menu is decent, not amazing. It's summer, but they had a very noticeable absence of browns, stouts and porters. With as many crafts as they carry, each should be represented with 2-3 choices apiece. Back to the food, not only is it good here, but they serve larger portions than most restaurants, which I entirely appreciate. With so many new micro breweries opening everyday, prices matter. Although some folks enjoy dropping 8 dollars or more for a brewmasters idea of a beverage , to continue beyond when the new wears off - is important. We went to the Easter Egg hunt event today.... We didn't have reservations (event ever said we had to make one).... Apparently that's just how busy this place is... Who knew?!?! Hostess was nice... The manager or owner, not sure, was really the one to get us in, which was awesome because my kids were pumped for the egg hunt which was set up outside. I can't wait to come back and enjoy some drinks outside this summer! Waitress was very attentive, served our food fast, and it was yummy... Everyone enjoyed what they ordered too!! The boss man went around after the hunt and made sure kids with less eggs were given a few more. AND they threw an extra hunt at the very end for anyone that arrived late she missed the first one. The first night the waitress was so kind and the food was so outstanding that when I couldn't find anywhere for my last night I went back! She didn't think it was weird at all that I came in with a work bag and asked for a booth for 1 and I appreciate that. I ordered nachos which was laughable for 1 person and needless to say that was all that was needed (though I also ordered the Brussels sprouts which were delicious). This was our first time here. We were looking for a place for lunch away from the city on our way out of Chicago. Everything we ordered exceeded expectations. It was fun to see one of the craft beers from our hometown in Central IL was on the menu also. Weather was perfect for sitting out in the beer garden which was a plus. Was looking forward to trying this place as I drive by it daily. To start the service was good from what I could see (not hear) and the burger I had was decent. The problem was the live music. For a Tuesday at 7:30 at night I may have left the restaurant with hearing problems. Was unable to have a conversation with my significant other or even any of the service staff. It is what I would assume going to a Kid Rock concert would be like; way to loud for not a lot of people. Also for paying extra to upgrade my side from chips to fries I feel like the fries should at least have some seasoning so I'm not eating damp potato straws. I would recommend looking to see when there is live music playing and going a different day or a hearing aid will be coming in the near future to you. read more
