Burger is fried now instead of grilled and has no seasoning. Used to be a great burger. It's too bad.

We wanted fried chicken and tried this place for the first time and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! If you're going on a Friday or Saturday, make sure you make a reservation though! The Mac and cheese wedges were the triangle Mac and cheese bites. Their ranch was bomb! The fried chicken was definitely a must, and did try the double baked potato. My husband did get the coconut shrimp which he said he would have gotten a whole basket of just that. But definitely save room for dessert because OMG amazing!!! We got both the pineapple cheesecake and the Reese's pie both read more

Love, love everything we've ever had at Cookies. It's definitely an older crowd, and a crowd that knows good food. The poorboys are the best around. I add cheese and onions to mine, and they don't charge as much as other places for extras. Service is always great. read more

Excellent fried chicken, seafood, sandwiches and appetizers. Great supper club atmosphere. Waitress was wonderful and full of personality.

I Had Cookies cater a family gathering today. The food was delivered right on time, piping hot and delicious. Just one example of quality, the veggie tray had the freshest vegetables I've ever tasted. But that was only the start. The quality of everything exceeded my expectations and my guests expressed genuine appreciation as well. It's so gratifying that there is still a place that says what they'll do then do what they say. I should have expected nothing less from such a storied restaurant as is Cookies. read more

Loved the log cabin atmosphere. Had dinner with family and had a wonderful meal which didn't break the bank. Will definitely return

Family owned restaurant and bar. Quality food. Maybe the best fried chicken around. Also really good fried mushrooms. Good variety on the menu. Priced well, old school atmosphere. If you haven't tried Cookies, you're missing out on a special treat. read more

Poor boys are second to none. I've said this before. Bloody Mary's made to a perfection. I've been going to cookies since around 1981 when I first lived in Channahon with my family. And it gets better every year. read more

Great food, we love coming here. I really like fried chicken, my wife, and I love the atmosphere it's a great little find!

Do you miss going to Grandma's house for dinner? Look no further. The fried chicken is the real star. Probably better than your grandmas, but we won't tell! We absolutely loved the 70's decor and old school vibe. Also, the service was AMAZING. Also, our friends gave us a bottle of Cookies Bloody Mary Mix for Christmas- it is AMAZING- RUN DONT WALK AND GET A BOTTLE-the secret it out! read more

My family were fans of a place called Phil Schmidt's in Hammond, IN. They were known for frog legs, lake perch, and fried chicken. They closed years ago, sadly, and I've missed the food. Cookies, hands-down, is my new go-to for all the things I've missed. The food is fantastic and rivals what I remember growing up! We love this place! read more

I needed to get past how out dated this restaurant is. Once I put that behind me, I've enjoyed the food on several occasions. Their rib eye sandwich with fresh horseradish never disappoints! The servers are always pleasant and we are checked on often. Good food and good people! read more

Went there with a couple of buddies, and was generally satisfied with the place. Food was cooked very fresh, and was flavorful. Waitstaff was good and attentive, and for a pub the room was quiet enough to be able to carry on a conversation without having to yell. read more

Cookies is a Great family style restaurant, with Awesome food and relaxing atmosphere. They have many types of foods to choose from. Poor boys are great. Food was good. Got a very small salad with it. Small condiments containers ( sour cream & tartar sauce) no butter for potato.

Old Town classics grilled to perfection. It's the Merichka's of Minooka, just smaller.

Very tasty chicken poboy and soup! My husband also liked the pork tenderloin sandwich.

Great gem in gods country! The soup was bland. However, the deep fried perch and hoppy legs aka frog legs were fantastic! A true throwback in time decor wise. Service was quick. Overall, didn't disappoint my expectations. read more

Some great fried chicken and sautéed seafood platter, great service too!! An awesome family owned restaurant.

Great local eatery. Food was plentiful and great quality. The place was well supported by many locals. Menu was not huge but had plenty of quality foods listed. I'm not a Bloody Mary fan but they must have great bloody Marys, everyone was ordering them during my visit. Old school setting for a pub. read more

A wonderful place with happy staff the provides the perfect, "Wisconsin Supper Club," experience. Great selection of fish, chicken, meats, appetizers and desserts. My family, loved ones and neighbors frequently stop in for dinner and to see a friend face. Would love if they would add some vegan/vegetarian options such as a greater variety of vegetables, with grains, legumes and big salads. Their double baked potato is marvelous! read more

Cookie's restaurant is one of my favorites the Minooka area. Everything from their fried chicken to burgers are great! The service in the restaurant pre-COVID was really great. The take-out service now is always fresh and ready on time. Only negative...they must have accidentally tossed in sour cream for our bake potatoes twice. 6 Togo cups! Lol. Better to have more than not enough. Definitely give it a try! read more

We've been several times. The atmosphere is "Wisconsin Supper Club" and the food is delicious. It's hit or miss with the waitresses and sometimes they're slow on the drink refills but I feel like every business has been struggling for decent employees lately. The cooks definitely know what they're doing! read more

This was the place to go in Minooka. We had a reservation, placed us at a table by the bathroom. Their bloody Mary's used to be the best, rim wasn't salted, just straight Clamato juice and a lot of vodka, terrible. Food wasn't the best as well, I got a filet, over cooked at medium. My husband ordered spaghetti as a side, the sauce was tinted water. It's sad to see a business decline, we will not be going back. read more

Very home-cooked meal feeling. They're not much for presentation, but the food is great and the prices are fair. You get a lot of food for what you pay for. The setting reminds me of a dinner club in Wisconsin. Very comfortable atmosphere. read more

Ate here for the first time. Really enjoyed it. Everything was good. The appetizers were good, the spaghetti was good, and the peanut butter pie was very good. Everything out super quick. Our server was good. Happy with the experience. read more

Great food...love the poor boy and the fried chicken. Dining room is a little dated but gives it some old charm.

Moved to the area over 10 years ago and Cookies is our go to restaurant... For dinner they have a nice sit down formal dining area and for a quick bite you are able to sit in the bar where they have high top tables set up. Staff is always fast and friendly. Family owned and operated, love the old school feel to this place. read more

I've been a lifelong area resident and I can't tell you how many restaurants miss the old school feel taste and experience that so many restaurants are lacking today. Throughout the pandemic they have been able to survive and in the last two weeks we've been back twice the double bakes are to die for the poor boys are absolutely amazing and the fried Chicken wow never bad food never bad service it's definitely a pillar in minooka now. read more

Nice old time place. Has dinner area and bar. Best dinner seating is in back. Bar seating is similar. As a close second in the area is Minooka Pub and Grill 1 mi west. read more

Not at all what I expected based on the reviews on Yelp. Cookie's is your basic family restaurant and that's about it. Our service was basic and decent. The bread service included saltine crackers and sesame bread sticks in their nice little wrappers. For dinner I had the chicken parm, which was just their chicken tenders with marinara and a slice of mozzarella melted over it. Not exactly supper club or fine dining... read more
