My favs were Milk Cookie, and Chocolate Chip Cherry. Also love the mini sugar cone. You could get 4 mini cones if you want but I opted for just one since I had a large lunch. Notes: Location was a short walk from my hotel. After ordering, I took a walk towards the river to see the Harley-Davidson Museum from across the way. It was a beautiful sunny day so I enjoyed eating the ice cream peacefully while walking on the Hank Aaron Trail.

The ice cream was solid, good texture but not the best caramel I've had. I would still get it again. I tried the honey bee but it didn't have much flavor. They were homemade but somewhere mine was like soft and soggy... and not even the part touching the ice cream. Strange but maybe bc it's so hot?

This location is usually busy, and figuring out where the line even starts to order can be an adventure! But the staff is efficient, friendly, and helpful. Just listen closely for your number to be called. Everything is cooked fresh, so there can be a wait, but it's absolutely worth it. This location has standing tables only inside. There are some large concrete stair-style seating areas on either side of the building, but those are primarily an option when the weather cooperates. And then there's the custard! Exceptional, as always. They offer two flavors of the day in addition to their always-available vanilla and chocolate. You can check the daily flavors on the Kopp's app, which is a must if you're planning a visit around a particular flavor. Butter Pecan is one of my favorites, and it comes around on the schedule every 11 days. But who's counting!? It's a Milwaukee classic for a reason. Don't leave town without stopping!

I stopped by for a scoop of mint chip custard and it was creamy, rich, cool, and delicious. But - really is there no bad day for custard? No, there isn't! This place is busy all year round, and for good reason. For the custard, there is usually a flavor of the day, plus the usual favorites, vanilla and chocolate, plus a sundae and shake of the month. A sign outdoors advertises the flavor of the day and a monthly menu of each flavor of the day is available online, if you want to plan ahead for your visit. If you've not been to this Milwaukee icon, it's a must-stop; the custard is really, really good. The retail store is set up like a 50s type diner, and there are plenty of folks ready to take your order. There is no seating indoors, just a few tables for standing-only to munch and chat. However, there is outdoor seating like a mini amphitheater on cement steps, and when the weather is nice, it is not unusual to see large groups of customers sitting outside eating ice cream or other treats or burgers. The menu also includes burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, shakes, malts, floats, and sundaes, too.

Because I knew another member of our tribe would want to be there, I invited her and her partner as well. All in all, there were going to be seven of us, so my partner and I quickly headed to Babe's to warn them that we were going to have a large group. The young staff was friendly and amiable, allowing us to move furniture in order to accommodate everyone. The banana split is a create-your-own adventure, allowing the customer to choose three flavors of incomparable Chocolate Shoppe ice cream as well as three toppings!! Unfortunately, we were told that they didn't have any bananas for splits. (Cue "Yes, We Have No Bananas.") Birthday Girl was quite disappointed, but what are you going to do? While everyone else was being served, one of the staff realized they had frozen bananas that were supposed to be chocolate-dipped, so I asked if that could be used for the split. We were told yes! I don't remember what flavors the birthday girl chose, but I do remember her big smile when she got her split. Our experience was definitely a seven out of seven, one thumbs up from each member of our group.

Even her mom asked her to finish the customers in line and she ignored the entire line including the order is was in the middle of and told her mom that everyone was order was done. Which was incredibly inconsiderate and wrong. Before the mom left, she told her kid (the worker) that she has 15 mins left and should be working. After the mom left the worker continued to not help any one. Thank goodness for the manager (lady in the red shirt) she actually saw what happened and took over the line. I originally was going to go to Pizza Shuttle but they were not opened yet so I decided to go with a cheeseburger and fries here at Dairyland. I didn't know until a day later I could've got was the old fashioned which is almost like the original cheeseburger but it comes with brown mustard instead of yellow. I like both mustards but I will take brown over yellow any day. I didn't really have to wait long for my order which was a plus. The burger and fries were seasoned well. The fries kind of gave you that Checker's fries vibe and I believe the same seasoning was used on the burger. The burger was nice and juice and was served on a sesame seed bun. The cheese was nice and melty and gooey too. For what I spent for the burger and fries I would pay that amount at Kopp's but that would include a shake, but because I don't spend that kind of coin for a cheeseburger meal like that it's okay. My only criticism is that they used a touch too much mustard, but the overall hot and freshness of my meal I would order from here again.
