This is a large restaurant with a nice shop full of cute and adorable items. I enjoy walking around to check them about while waiting for a table. The few times we have visited, the wait time is not too long, but it is always surprising to see how many empty tables are there. I assume they don't have enough servers, so there will be a wait even if they have so many empty tables. The quality of service can be a hit-or-miss, and in our case, it has been more "miss" than hit. We haven't had much issue, but simply that the service can be very slow, and not very friendly. They have so many comfort food options to choose from, not so healthy maybe, but I don't consider healthy food to be comfort food anyways. LOL. The portion is nice and large, we always get very full after visiting here. We've tried some of the drink offerings (non-alcoholic), and most of them come out way too sweet. I feel bad giving a 3 star but the reason is the server. She was not pleasant which really wasn't appealing. This was my personal first time at a Cracker Barrel, my parents frequent them often for they appreciate the RV parking so they like to support the business. Anyways the gift store ladies were absolutely amazing! Friendly and engaging with us! We bought quite a few adorable outfits for our daughter whom we are adopting! This location is always consistent. The service is never great but not horrible. The food is always the same. It is always clean, and they have lots of tables. The wait times can get really long on the weekends! We love the pancakes, hot cocoa and seasonal offerings. Really really big place, almost always generally full given the location off 90 and 84. Emphemera and antiques on the wall and a candy store area as you come in, kind of confusing at first if you are coming in for dinner. Generally hard to decide what to order all the food sounds like it could be good but given the decore you will probably be skeptical and that's okay. This was my first time experiencing the hype of Cracker Barrel...and my favorite part was the gift store. They had lots of unique stuff there and it was a great place to grab accouple small Christmas gifts. The dining experience wasn't too bad. It's a very homey restaurant with lots of interesting decor, and a big fireplace going. It was very empty in there, but our waitress was a bit neglectful of our table after we got all our food/drinks. No biggie, it allowed for more time to catch up with those we had dinner with. I personally got the Green Apple Tea to drink, I normally always order water but I just had to try it! I'm glad I did, it wasn't overtly sweet, and had undertones of apple. Pretty good stuff with the option to buy a half gallon, but there not being enough tea for us to do so :( I played it safe and got chicken tenders with fries and carrots. Everything was good on my end! My wife ordered the steak, shrimp and tender combo.... Whenever the lady said "we don't cook the tips to a certain Temperature because they just come in little cubes" I nearly died...but my wife is brave and still sent it Needless to say they looked and tasted like dog food, so don't order that!!! We entered just before the lunch rush. A favorite is the meatloaf lunch; I've had it previously at another Cracker Barrel which had several pieces of gristle. The food today had only one piece so I very glad for the improvement. And I thought the added items (potatoe, vegetables) were nicely done. Yoooooo... they took away the fried chicken liver and Im reminded of when Popeyes took away their Cajun rice and I felt sooooo abandoned. Ok, we haven't been to Cracker Barrel in awhile. But, there was a time our granddaughter LOVED Cracker Barrel and begged us to bring her because according to this little girl they had the best hamburgers in the world (we all knew she wanted to shop in their store!!)! So, for old times sake we brought our almost grown up granddaughter there for her birthday. Wow! When did they start serving drinks?!? We were pleasantly surprised we could have a drink with our meal. Our granddaughter got her hamburger, which she didn't have than a couple bites from because she had to admit now that she's grown up a bit that the hamburgers aren't very good. My husband got the roast beef dinner and I got the turkey dinner. Yeah, the meals are pretty lackluster, but y'all know Cracker Barrel is a welcome site when you're in a really long road trip. We brought our granddaughter into the store and let her pick out something for old times sake and she found a cute stuffie that she's planning on putting in her car. I was sooooo happy to find out my hotel was behind a Cracker Barrel. I don't even know what the hotel offered, I knew where I was going for breakfast. The steak and eggs were very good, biscuits were fluffy as always, and of course the shop was amazing! There were so many cute things, if I had the money I could fully decorate a house easily. For dinner we ordered eggs Benny with sausage, fried chicken, Mac and cheese and cornbread. The only tasty part of the eggs Benny was the eggs. The Saudi was so dry and chewy. The bread too dry. The fried chicken was good but def frozen and fried. The mac and cheese was ok. Not the best. The cornbread was horrible. It tasted like it had campbell's chicken soup in the mix. Just bad. Great staple when we were driving on the Massachusetts Turnpike after a redeye with two littles. They are kitschy and country-esque but yummy. The store kept the little man entertained while we waited for a late lunch (though late breakfast our time). He chose a pirate ship toy and his little sister found a fun mermaid soft toy so they were both willing to sit through us drinking endless cups of coffee and eating. Home style home cooking and dependably good every time we've been to one. Always have been a fan of the country green beans as a side plus their biscuits are flaky. It's my belief that this and other locations, are understaffed as our nation/world are post pandemic. To the folks who worked here, you did a good job and am grateful. Getting in and out of here was interesting, but Massachusetts is Massachusetts. The sawdust gravy was good, and the French toast was tasty as well. It could be me, but portions seem smaller. Inflation is real, and I concede I could be wrong on this. Still decent food and fairly reasonable prices. I love the food st Cracker Barrel. I decided tondo a curbside order since it was packed. I waited about 25 minutes for the order. I'm sitting in my c ar playing a game and I see, out the corner of my eyes, a waiter come out swinging a bag with food in it. He stopped for a few seconds and went back in the restaurant. I waited because I thought MAYBE he forgot something. Nope! He took my order BACK in the store and put it on the shelf as if it was a customer pick up in store. I'm disabled and im.glad I was feeling pretty good today or I would have had to call in and ask someone to bring my food back out. This guy didn't even wait 15 seconds. SMH. My experience is only from the food alone, I did not dine here so I cannot speak on the service or ambience. I ordered this meal through DoorDash. I dined many years ago when I was younger so it's not something I can fairly give an opinion on. On to the food, I tried their new fried chicken sandwich, bee sting. They have fried tenders version and one in a sandwich. It has this maple honey glaze on it which was good and mayonnaise. The chicken was nice and crispy and tender on the inside, welll seasoned. It was perfectly sweet and savory. The macaroni was seasoned well and cheesy and very easy to eat. Overall it was a decent experience for this food delivery. read more

For the price you are buying, the food at this Cracker Barrel is great. I had a rainbow trout with 2 sides for about $10 and soda with free refills for under $5. The trout was great and had a nice lemon pepper flavor. The first side - turnip greens (w/ shredded meat) - was not great but the deep fried okra was really good. My wife ordered chicken fried chicken and didnt realize how greasy it would be, so she was unhappy. I thought it was delivered on what the menu advertised. Love the atmosphere and menu at the Cracker Barrel. The food may not be top shelf but it is good old fashioned comfort food. We had a large group today at Sturbridge MA. We have a variety of entrees and everyone has was pleased; however the service could have been better. We had to wait an exceptionally long time for drink refills. In fact, we had to flag the staff member down to get service. When we ordered dessert, we had to request that the tables be cleared before our dessert arrived. Normally I love Cracker Barrel. I love the old time and unusual items one can find in their shopping area; always finding something unique. The feeling on country living is overwhelming. I was waiting for someone to take a to go order for me. In the 5 minutes I was waiting for an order to be taken I was greeted by a hostess and I guess a server; neither were able to take my order. Another waitress was evidently leaving after her shift, where yet another server, still working had to discuss something important with the server leaving? Three servers standing, talking yet no one able to take a to go order. I really wanted some of their awesome hash brown casserole. I paid for my store purchase, advised both ladies working how disappointed I was I couldn't get service. Younger woman working register didn't seem to care. And we never received our biscuit's. Our food was barely warm and coffee refill was cold. Our server took our order, returned to drop our appetizer and never returned until well after our meal was being eaten. Although she was cleaning tables she paid little attention to us. Great spot to stop for lunch and right off the main highway, so very convenient. My fiancé and I came right during the peak of lunchtime, so we were told there would be a 40 minute wait. The wait only ended up being around 20 minutes, so not bad at all. They are only doing limited seating inside and outside. They are also offering curbside pick-up and delivery. You have to wear your mask while in the gift shop and while you're not seated at your table. We loved our lunch here and Maura, our waitress, was very attentive and helpful. Also, leave some time to peruse their gift shop. They have wonderful fall items out already. read more

Food - The food was excellent I I have French toast and my wife pancakes. Service: I was upset and disappointed and offended when I ordered Mimosa and was told by our young waitress that it was company policy to check our IDs . My wife and I both seniors and it is pretty obvious with our grey hairs that we are both over 21. I didn't see she her checked any other couples ID when they order drinks . I refused to allow her request to ruin my meal. In the future if this ever happens again introspect I will definitely challenge her and request the manager to educated her waitress on using simple common sense. Ambiance- it's a little loud- but it has a family atmosphere to the place.
