A frosty martini matched perfectly with thick rich potato skins and terrific service . Thanks for a great week night stop in-

    Lunch Beer Flight

Came for lunch and had such a wonderful time, we came back the same night, for dinner! Our bartender, Mike, was so friendly and personable. He recommended the steak sandwich, which was a giant hit!!! Had a salad (big) for my side. While simple, it was so fresh and tasty. Homemade dressing was over the top! Mike picked out a beer flight for me, which was a hit on every level. At dinner, had a beautifully prepared filet mignon, with whipped potatoes and haricot verts! Had another beer flight before dinner, which did not disappoint!

Heading south and decided to stop for lunch. This was a great spontaneous stop - with great service, thank you Tayla, and yummy food. It was a bit noisy, and we thought it would be nice in the summer - sit outside.

Food was excellent! Everything was fresh from the pretzel with IPA beer cheese to the macaroni and cheese to the steak and cheese on a hoagie roll. Food is on the higher end of quality with a price to match.

    Blood Transfusion cocktail...delish

Random stop for a late lunch on our way home (to MA) from CT. The restaurant was not very busy on a Tuesday afternoon. Location was convenient to Mass Pike. The interior was a little sparse but pretty. Linen tablecloths which made me it feel fancier than it is (at lunch anyway) Service was very good. Waitress was managing bar and tables without a long wait. We ordered cocktails to start so I tried the Blood Transfusion. I know sounds gross but was a fabulous blood orange, vodka, and ginger beer concoction. Very good. I took a photo of my drink and not my food which is shameful because the fries were outstanding. I had a fork n knife cheeseburger and the fries, did I mention they were outstanding!? Btw there was a $2 up-charge for the fries, just do it. My bonus mum ordered a Phillie cheese steak with fried and raved about it. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Met up here with my best friend the other day and we split a delightful meal and caught up. I had the empress gin drink which was beyond delicious. The Brussels sprouts and strawberry salad were to die for, and we both loved them. My salmon entree was a very decent size so I ate only half and the other half heated well the next day. The strawberry shortcake creme brûlée was sadly a culinary fail. While taste wise it was good, the top didn't have a good crack to it and it was a bit watery. I also asked for decaf coffee. Was definitely given regular and was up until 5 am the next day.

    Mac and cheese

First time at this restaurant after discovering it's affiliated with Sturbridge Seafood which we love going to. Only 3 other tables of diners on a Friday around noon so it was very quiet. I had the Mac and cheese which was very flavorful and filling. I took 3/4 of it to go. My husband had a mid-rare burger with a side salad. Burger was cooked more than his liking, disappointing for a steakhouse.

Great food and service. French onion soup is likely the best I've ever had. The salad is fresh, the sandwiches are generously sized, and the Great-tini is a must have!! Our server was super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is a bit open and bright - only reason it's not 5 stars.

Now I was back in the area and decided to come in and try. The place was a lot more like a bar and restaurant than expected. Lots of seats and a hostess station up front. We went straight back to the bakery counter to order up some sweets and drinks. I got a snickers latte, and a peanut butter bar. Missus got a carrot cake pop, a coconut and chocolate danish, a custom green tea. Drinks came out quick, and we got our sips and bites in. The carrot cake pop was tasty. Very much a carrot cake in flavor and consistency. Warm spices, cream cheese chocolate coating, it was the best bite. The peanut butter bar, too sweet. I prefer to taste the peanut butter rather than the sugar. The same was true of the coconut danish. Too sugary for the dessert, but a good amount of coconut filling. The drinks were also pretty sweet as well. The coffee got masked by the sugar and the caramel overpowered. Wasn't bad, just very sweet focused. Pricing was high, but that area of the state is always a little pricier. It's a decent sweets shack, but I prefer a little balance for the price paid.

We entered and were immediately impressed by the decor and setting. You really feel like you entered a time capsule from a different era, everything is beautiful. We were seated in a cute little area. We ordered our drinks and we really wanted the fish chowder for our app, but they didn't have any (so disappointing). My husband decided on the chili and nothing caught my eye for an app, but I had some bites of the chili and it was very very good! For dinner my husband picked the Beef and Guinness Stew and I picked the Fish and Chips. My fish was very good, but it said it came with hand cut fries and there was no way they were hand cut, they tasted like everything other frozen fries I've had and they were really skimpy on the fries. My husband's Beef and Guinness Stew was awful, he said the meat was very grizzly and tough. We really enjoyed our experience dining in such a beautiful place, we might come back in the summer and give them another try.

There weren't too many people there, but it made for a lowkey dinner. The food arrived quickly, and everything we had was actually much better than we were expecting. Cool concept with all of the books lining the dining room, and we appreciated that you could take 3 for free. Also walked around the book cellar too. There weren't really any titles that grabbed us though. My main critique is that it was pretty dusty... we looked at one of the lights and the cobwebs on it made it look like a Halloween decoration. You have to wonder if the dining room is that neglected, how bad is the state of the kitchen? Wouldn't be in a rush to come back, but glad I can say I've been to what's considered such an iconic roadside stop.
