These taste buds have been wow'd yet again! This weekend specials fries whole belly clams with a citrus dill tartar Luis wanted the fries, I didn't argue for our entrees he went with the pan fried crispy haddock over milanese risotto, grilled asparagus, and dill caper butter. I went with the chicken parm Ramen, right? What a crazy fusion, but it worked and was delicious, I snuck some of the crispy haddock and risotto, which was perfect! Michael Arrastia and crew at Honest Town Eats killed it today!

I love everything about this place! They are so accommodating. If you have any dietary restrictions or you're vegan or vegetarian. Everything is made from scratch so if you don't want certain things listening on say the ramen for example they don't have to pick it out for you to be able to enjoy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The first time I went here, I felt instantly comfortable. The restaurant employees were so welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love being greeted with a "hi friend (s)" I highly recommend visiting and trying some food or a drink. 5 stars!

My husband and I stopped in for lunch while we waited to meet part of a rescue dog transport. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a super nice waitress. We had been to Hangover Pub a few times before they closed. I had been hankering ramen. So I was happy to see they had a few choices of ramen on the menu. I got french onion ramen. Highly recommend. Plenty for 2 to share, or a nice hearty lunch/dinner. Hubby had the pork belly ruben. Very tasty. We will definitely be back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Good food and cool vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was a little slow but it was bumping. I ate Caesar salad and LOVED the corn muffin pancake!

We recently tried the Dark Horse Tavern on a Saturday evening. We got there at opening (5 o'clock)…read moreand it was already dark out, it was confusing where the entrance was, but we found it. We entered and were immediately impressed by the decor and setting. You really feel like you entered a time capsule from a different era, everything is beautiful. We were seated in a cute little area. We ordered our drinks and we really wanted the fish chowder for our app, but they didn't have any (so disappointing). My husband decided on the chili and nothing caught my eye for an app, but I had some bites of the chili and it was very very good! For dinner my husband picked the Beef and Guinness Stew and I picked the Fish and Chips. My fish was very good, but it said it came with hand cut fries and there was no way they were hand cut, they tasted like everything other frozen fries I've had and they were really skimpy on the fries. My husband's Beef and Guinness Stew was awful, he said the meat was very grizzly and tough. We really enjoyed our experience dining in such a beautiful place, we might come back in the summer and give them another try.

Good sweets and coffee for the area…read more I've been to this stretch of the woods a lot back in the day. But never really stopped in because it was Covid times. Now I was back in the area and decided to come in and try. The place was a lot more like a bar and restaurant than expected. Lots of seats and a hostess station up front. We went straight back to the bakery counter to order up some sweets and drinks. I got a snickers latte, and a peanut butter bar. Missus got a carrot cake pop, a coconut and chocolate danish, a custom green tea. Drinks came out quick, and we got our sips and bites in. The carrot cake pop was tasty. Very much a carrot cake in flavor and consistency. Warm spices, cream cheese chocolate coating, it was the best bite. The peanut butter bar, too sweet. I prefer to taste the peanut butter rather than the sugar. The same was true of the coconut danish. Too sugary for the dessert, but a good amount of coconut filling. The drinks were also pretty sweet as well. The coffee got masked by the sugar and the caramel overpowered. Wasn't bad, just very sweet focused. Pricing was high, but that area of the state is always a little pricier. It's a decent sweets shack, but I prefer a little balance for the price paid.

They had gluten free pastry options and hot food, too. There were caffeine and alcohol options depending on the time of day you visit. I ordered a hot skim vanilla chai and it was fantastic. The service was friendly and fast. Lots of people working so must have plenty of electrical plugs throughout. There's lots of old saws and blades for decor. Outdoor seating options too.
