Goated Waitress! Waitress saw us going outside to check on a dog in someone's off car. Asked us what was wrong, and when we told her, she rushed outside and found the woman who left her dog in the car. Give Linda a raise!!! Best waitress ever!!! Food is always good, and their French toast with strawberries is the best food in the world!!! Loved the cute ambiance, and besides the terrible person with their dog, this was an amazing experience. It's definitely a restaurant I would come to every day if I could. 5 stars!!!

Warm friendly inviting, Mason's Grille is one of those diner style hidden gem restaurants in the hinterlands of Western MA. that turns out the old classics. You will stand out as a non local but before you leave, you'll have been introduced to a bevy of town folk by the wait staff, to say this is a friendly place is an understatement. The resto was packed but my meatloaf arrived fairly quickly. Portion sizes are large as you can see and my dish did not disappoint. Meatloaf is a diner classic; every place has its treasured recipe; Mason's serves an excellent meatloaf which is sure to please most anyone. I love their mashed potatoes which are served with the skins and are seasoned beautifully. The broccoli was cooked perfectly; it had a nice buttery flavor. I do have a soft spot for diners and their classic recipe preparations; Mason's definitely fits the nostalgic diner image, serving nicely prepared presented tasty meals which you won't wanna miss. Drop by and see if you don't agree.

It has been a few years (pre-COVID) since we have been here so after a morning of tag sales, we were in the area and decided to stop in for breakfast. The place is as clean and cozy as it was last visit. In fact much of the same staff was still here. Mason's is your quintessential neighborhood restaurant that all the locals eat at. People were on a first name basis and the waitress knows the "usual" for each. The decor is nothing fancy which belies the true goldmine this place is. The menu has variety enough for any palette. My wife ordered the Peasants Muffin with hash browns. The Peasants Muffin is eggs Benedict with corned beef hash instead of Canadian bacon. The hash away cooked to the ideal crispness she likes. I was indecisive so I ordered a bowl of homemade chili, a single blueberry pancake and a grilled meatloaf sandwich. The chili was a perfect starter for the chilly morning. And yes I had lunch foods for breakfast. The pancake was chock full of fresh blueberries and very fluffy. The best by far was the grilled meatloaf sandwich. Meatloaf too often is dry and dense. Not so with the meatloaf at Mason's. It was moist, full of flavor and had the perfect mouth feel. The grilled bell peppers and onions added additional layers of goodness. Lastly a comment on the service. Our waitress Crystal was awesome. Friendly, greeted folks by name and with a smile. She took great care of us. Highly recommend if you are in Warren to stop by for breakfast or lunch. Great place, great staff, great food.

This is called the Volcano breakfast it is so delicious. The cook is phenomenal .

The service is great. The food is great. It's family orientated friendly. It's the best.

Unfortunately the worst breakfast I've ever had!

The corned beef hash was almost all potato and had zero flavor. It smelled like burnt potato skins. The eggs were like a brick and the toast was so loaded with butter it was soggy. The pancake looked good, but was crunchy on the outside and rubber on the inside. The place was not busy and extremely cold. I don't like doing bad reviews but this was the worst breakfast I've ever been served. I do appreciate them not charging me.

Apologies for the length of this review, but there's a lot to unpack here…read more So, l had heard about OVG awhile ago from an absolute stranger who said LARGE portions, fair prices, great grub. On my radar. Well, Air Traffic Control safely landed this plane earlier today. The stranger, however, was wrong... the portions were XXL, prices seemed like a rollback to 10 years ago, and the food was very great (greater than great??). Couple things first. Cash only. Open four days / wk (Thursday thru Sunday) from 6 til 2. Parking situation ok. Not an overly large dining area, but adequate early afternoon today. Also, quite a few specials which were hard to turn down, but... out of the corner of my eyeball I detected a menu entree of 3 eggs, home fries, toast, AND a choice of two meats (out of bacon, sausage, ham, and hash) for $11.99. Sold! My outstanding server, Ellen, asked "how do you want your eggs?", "what two meats?" "patties or links?", "what kind of toast?", "do you want onions with the home fries?", and away she went. Food came back (from the open kitchen) very quickly. I could not believe the amount of grub piled on my plate. There were 4 sausage links... and not those flimsy ones.. these were large ones that I'm accustomed to, growing up in NY. Rye toast was thick cut from a regional bakery. It didn't melt in my mouth...it dissolved. Eggs were perfectly cooked, HFs lightly seasoned, and just right. Generous portion of CBH, nice and hot. Coffee also very good, and Ellen and Melissa kept it coming. Both were outstanding and personable. Two cooks (one of which is Steve, owner for past 14 yrs), two servers, and dishwasher / pots & pans scrubber make it all happen. It's a good thing I traded in my 6-pack abs for my 6-gallon repository that serves as the 1st stop thru my body's digestive travels. An "unabelly" would not be large enough. BTW, Steve said OVG goes through about 120 to 150 dozen eggs / wk. So, using 135 dz as average, that's about 400 eggs /day. Local hens are exhausted; and, although they won't admit it, roosters as well. Great place. If you're looking for a romantic setting, go elsewhere. If you want a nice, homey setting that the local cops would recommend, come here. 5 stars, and only because Yelp doesn't allow for more! Next time...the "steak bomb"!

Portions are huge and everything we tried was fantastic. We had Irish Benedict, a Mississippi omelet, and we split a pancake bigger than my head. The potatoes are seasoned super well and are absolutely perfectly cooked. You can get them with or without the grilled onions. I had them with, and hubby had them without. Their corned beef hash is one of my favorites, and I have Irish Benedict a lot! We will definitely stop in next time we are in town. They are cash only, so don't forget to stop at the ATM on the way.

The meal I received (Eggs Benedict Florentine, a regular menu item) was not what I ordered (Tara's Benedict, on the specials menu), but by then I was so hungry that I just ate it. It was good. However, after a runner delivered our food, our waitress never checked in with us, or even made eye contact with us, until we were done eating. When she finally came, I told her (politely) that I had ordered Tara's Benedict but had received Florentine. She seemed to not know what to do with this information - but she did want me to know that she correctly submitted my order. Okay, I said, I just wanted to let you know that there was a miscommunication somewhere. She brought us our bill promptly (the incorrect meal was not taken off the bill), but then there was more waiting for her to come back and take our credit card. Finally my dining companion went up to the register to pay the bill. While there, they tried to explain to him what happened - apparently the chef had a different specials list than the specials menu that was given to customers. This does not really explain the mix-up. Plus, it was 11am on a Saturday - near the end of the breakfast period. How did they not realize sooner that the chef and the wait staff had different specials menus? This establishment is a little off the beaten path; you have to make it a destination - something I will not be doing again.
