I had a great experience- for my first time here. Bella was my waitress and she was very nice and quick to serve with a smile and hot coffee. I have a great omelette and huge pancake on the side. The food was hot and quick to the able. The place was clean and very well organized Thanks Bella! read more

If you're not from the area, it's a little tricky to find, the entrance is towards the back facing the parking space. But this is such a great, quaint place to have breakfast or lunch. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and freshly cooked. read more

We had breakfast here before we headed over to old Sturbridge village. Cozy little place with super friendly service. Reminisce of a modern day Norman Rockwell diner. Their portions are large and generous. My son really loved their breakfast burrito with the gravy on the side. My western omelet was made perfect and had huge chunks of ham. Tator tots arrived crisp and warm. Hubby enjoyed his French toast with sausage. Definitely will return when we're in the area again. read more

This is a real deal diner with a counter and a hostess who greets you as soon as you come in, and customers say goodbye to the chef as they walk out. Families come on Saturday morning to play wordle while having brunch, and the wall is decorated with chili bowl awards collected over the years. Located right next to town hall, you have to pull into the parking lot to see the diner and the entrance. Feels like a place frequented by locals. Good, solid breakfast diner food - omelettes, pancakes, waffles, and lunch sandwiches. For a non-pretentious and friendly place that is relaxing and has weekly and daily specials and a $55 tater tot bowl challenge, this is the place to head to! read more

I grew up in the area, but I don't live here any longer. I don't know how I managed to not stop on any of my visits up though. My mom and I came for breakfast this morning. It's a cozy place with a true diner feel to it. The service was fast and the menu had so many great options, beyond just your usual breakfast fare. I had the Irish Benedict and the corned beef hash was as authentic as could be. My mom had a Western omelet and she could barely finish it because it so was such a large portion. Definitely try out Elm Centre if you're in the area. I bet lunch is great too! read more

Perfect little sit down for a good breakfast, and a good slice of the town history to set you back in time.

They NEVER fail! Fanfreaintastic wait staff & food. I ALWAYS get an omelet but decided to try Tatertots, topped with poached eggs, bacon, mushrooms, hollandaise sauce & truffle something or other. Yessssss, I ate the whole thing! Thank you ALL! read more

Wow wow wow! Elm Centre Cafe is a hidden gem! The staff is so friendly and attentive and the food is just delicious! My husband ordered Eggs Benedict with Chorizo hash and I ordered a special called the Mayflower Wrap. Both choices did not disappoint! We also ordered a side of corned beef hash, which was probably the best I've had anywhere. The menu has an abundant variety of options and the portion sizes will guarantee a full belly! We stopped in town for a day on our way elsewhere. Decided to grab breakfast before heading out the following morning, which was the only saving grace of our experience in this town. Food was amazing, staff were friendly and vigilant, locals were nice. Can't recommend highly enough! read more

Quality of food has taken a nose dove over the past few weekends. Smaller portions of less quality food. Save your self the pain of ordering chicken tenders, what once was good and crispy is now clealy from the back of the cheapest and nearest freezer. Service is always fine. read more

Amazing, friendly, attentive staff. Food was also great - hard to go wrong with anything on menu. Will return!!

Pulled this place up on Yelp, looking for a local diner, and not someplace with a drive through. The grill is right behind the counter; watch the line cooks as they prepare your food. Lots of locals at the counter, eating breakfast and lunch at noon. Quick, pleasant to respond counter service from the waitress, like she has probably been working here for decades. She knows everyone, and apparently their typical orders as well. I ordered the Florentine Benedict and stuffed French toast; raspberry sauce filled. Probably more food than I need, but after several days of road food at service islands, I won't mind getting full on some home cooking. Watching the cook as he prepares the poached eggs for my Benedict. Nicely done. Servings are huge. Didn't need to order the French toast. Both look and taste great. My word...huge meal. Well worth the stop, and the drive off the interstate to get here. Conversing with the locals about the weather and the world. read more

Oh my...a diner but so much more! It is a Hotspot for great food. Not just your traditional diner choices but some really creative ideas that were outstanding! I ordered a special, not always on the menu... grilled steak tips breakfast bowl with onion, green peppers, A1 sauce, 2 poached eggs w hollandaise all on top of a bed of crispy tater tots with cheese... sounds like a strange combo at first hut it really worked! And it was huge and Iam looking forward to finishing it tomorrow for breakfast! We also tried the shaved steak and cheese omelet which earned high marks, and fruit stuffed French toast. When asked what he warned for a filling and they suggested fruits like strawberries, bananas, blueberries, etc. and my brother-in-law said "all of them sound great..and so they did just that! Mixed some of all the fresh fruit fillings into his stuffed French toast...and they also have him a generous dollop of freshmade real whipped cream! It was to die for! Be prepared to wait for a table most days I'm told. We lucked out to arrive when it wasn't especially busy. Service was very friendly, greeted your with a big smile. Checked on our needs often without being obnoxious. All in all, this is a must visit restaurant. One critical note. It can be hard to find because it's located at the BACK of the building! read more

Come here a lot. Great food, great service, and super cheap to top it all off. Win win win.

I really enjoyed the experience here. Almost more than the food I think. Some of the kindest and friendliest servers ever. Lightening fast ticket time we were barely sipping our coffee when the plates appeared in front of us. Giant breakfast sandwiches! Plentiful potatoes for sides - they make hash brown or pan/deep friend home fries and that could just about make your day. Omelette I had was fresh and well stuffed with veggies. Lots of different menu items you'd not expect especially in southbridge. Was a pleasantly nice place to stumble on and will be back again asap ! read more

When it comes to breakfast spots, I always aim for busy places and good reviews. Elm Center Cafe is a far ways away from my typical locales, but Ho-ly was this good! Staff were very friendly, got us seated quickly and had our drink orders in just as you sat down. This place was bustling, kitchen staff was furiously churning away at meals and the wait staff was rapidly seating, serving, and taking a ton of to-go orders. My girlfriend got the irish benedict with their homemade corned beef hash, and I opted for the banana nut bread french toast. Even with the surge of orders, we got our meals in about 10 minutes. This place is very efficient. The food though...That's one of my favorite breakfasts I have had in a long time. They got a solid hollandaise sauce, the eggs were poached perfectly, the corned beef had an nice crispy crust, the english muffin was toasted with real butter, and that's just the fork-full I was able to snag. The french toast was amazing. crispy custardy bread with walnuts, real maple syrup, sliced banana, and just a small amount of real butter on top. Surprisingly dense, but not overbearingly so. It was a dessert breakfast, and it was heavenly. I mean, yeah. This place is a great little cafe that deserves its 5 stars. I am impressed, and will be back again for sure. read more

Had breakfast here on Sunday and it definitely met my expectations. Sunday is their busiest day especially around the time church gets out so be mindful if you want to try one of their weekend specials to get there early! Sadly the special I wanted was sold out but I had the farmer's sausage Benedict. Basically biscuits and gravy with poached eggs ontop and it was delicious. My hubby had the chef's choice omelette. It came packed with tomato, peppers, onion, sausage and bacon and topped with sausage gravy. It tasted like a supreme pizza but in omelette form. My mom had the ham and asparagus Benedict that came with horseradish hollandaise. It looked excellent and she said it was. Sharon was very welcoming and accommodating. I hope she tried the ham and asparagus Benedict after her shift. :) We will definitely be back! read more
