Country fried steak was hearty and tasty. The biscuits were delicious and a must try. The dumplings were the best side dish of all the ones we tried. My family had a great experience here and we'll definitely be back for more! Our server was quick and efficient and our food came out sooner than we expected. No complaints whatsoever with the service we received! I ordered the "Build Your Own Homestyle Breakfast" which comes with two eggs, biscuits and gravy, your choice of meat and a side. For $10, the amount of food you get is insane! The smoked sausages I got were slightly dry and I wasn't the biggest fan of them, but everything else I ordered was delicious. My family members were also very happy with their orders. I really love the cute store you walk through to get to the restaurant! It's my favorite part of every Cracker Barrel! Some aisles were tight, so if you have a stroller, you definitely will struggle navigating through certain parts of the store. I've been to a lot of Cracker Barrel's across the country. This is probably the worst. Why didn't I check the reviews?! No one in front of us but it took a long time to be seated. There are five of us. They simply put us at a table for four with a chair in the end. Not that hard it seems. There were plenty of empty tables to push two together. Food took forever. To the point where we thought we were not going to have enough time. When it finally came one steak, was way too rare. The other was fine. Both the same cut. Both asked for medium well. Sent it back. Still came out way too rare. And FULL of gristle. The rest of the food was just okay. Not great. Either this location is mismanaged or Cracker Barrel has gone down the drain. We were checked on by the server one time. I was a waiter a while ago, and I knew it was a cardinal sin if my guests ever had to ask for water. We had to ask. The store portion of this restaurant is a nightmare. Very difficult to get through because it did get busy about when we were going to be done. I tried to get to the bathroom but there were so many people waiting to get in and so many people waiting to pay. When I finally shoved my way to the bathroom I wish I hadn't. Had I seen the bathroom before eating we would have walked away. We did get the manager to discount the price of the steak. Not the full meal mind you, she only subtracted the price of the steak it seems and we still had to pay for the sides. Whatever. You have been warned. The Springville, Utah Cracker Barrel will be like no other one you have been to. And it's in the worst way. Worst service we have ever gotten at Cracker Barrel. Once we got seated, no one greeted us or took our orders for 20 minutes. Then it took another 20 minutes to actually get our drinks. So 40 minutes into our stay- we finally got any type of service. It then took another 40 minutes to get our food. And as if that wasn't bad enough- we didn't even get an apology or even recognition that our service was significantly delayed. This location, the last few times I've gone, has had such great staff. Despite always being busy in the mornings and around lunch, we've been seated quickly and well tended to. The only thing I like about Cracker Barrel is the breakfast. Grandma's sampler is where it's at. Sadly, on this trip, our server was not very skilled or adept at social interaction. Additionally, the serving sizes have been reduced in order to avoid raising prices. My "two pieces of French toast weren't even pieces from the same piece of bread. I literally asked if it was a kid's meal. The server just said "that's the size of the sampler." I was clearly dissatisfied and my concern wasn't even addressed. Then we watched tables that came after us getting their food. My husband and I saw the managers by the kitchen and they saw us staring them down. No one has come back to our table since bringing our drinks and getting our food order. We finally got up and left after being sat for an hour. Should be quick- right? Nope! Took half an hour before our food made it to the table. And it wasn't worth waiting for. The lemonade was weak, the hash browns were dry and overcooked When the server brought the food, my husband stated he was missing the biscuit part of the biscuits and gravy. Me & My wife recently started coming here these last couple of days, and we've received two different services! One was amazing and the other was very subpar. The guy we had checked up on us every 3-4 minutes, got us refills without us asking, got us To-Go-Boxes, and To-Go Drinks. He told us a lot of useful information about the food, and what he recommends and helped me order my food. The other server, pretty much did the opposite lol we ordered the same food a couple of days apart, and the size portion was pretty crazy. My wife order a breakfast meal, and her pancakes, were waayyy smaller the second time, and the to go drinks we had were in like kids cups, when the first time we had to go drinks, he brought it out in these large cups. The atmosphere is great, always fun to look around the store when there's a 10-15 min wait. Me personally though.. if there's a lot of people and the kitchen is backed up, come back another day. Yay we finally tried Cracker Barrel!! We have been wanting to for so long! Let me start by saying this place is so cool!! So many little things to see all around and a cool shop too.. I love the rocking chairs outside reminded me of the south.. now.. they have some of the BEST beignets we have ever had, and we have had some good ones! They were so so good. Party of 10, we waited an hour to be seated & 3.5 hours to get all of our food, and they only take off 2 meals & 3 drinks. Absolutely the WORST branch of Cracker Barrel in the entire country. Manager handled everything horribly, no apologies, just excuses. My nephews were literally crying because of how hungry they were. The restaurant was very clean and well-organized. I ordered a rare steak, but they brought out a medium steak instead that had good seasoning. The cornbread did not have a single hint of corn flavor at all; it just tasted like flour. The dumplings tasted good but were cut pretty thin and contained mostly sauce. The broccoli was good; but I guess it's hard to screw up broccoli. I am from the South and can honestly say that Utahns don't know how to cook real Southern food at all. The server seemed super shy and awkward. Most of the people working there weren't rude or anything, but they also were not very outgoing or friendly. They just seemed shy and nervous. Our first experience with Cracker Barrel was fantastic! We were RVing our way from Alberta, Canada around the west coast of the US and needed a place to stop for the night on July 3rd, 2022. Cracker Barrel was an amazing place to stay. They were so kind and friendly! The restaurant had a lot to offer, unfortunately we could not eat there as my husband is celiac and there is nothing gluten safe on the menu. We could smell the restaurant from the store and it smelled so good! The store is so cute and has so many wonderful things on offer. I would go back to stop and shop again in a heartbeat! Whenever we've visited a Cracker Barrel, we've been met with consistency. It's not fancy or worth writing home about, but it feels like home. At least the kind of home I wish I grew up in instead of the one that made me eat the weird green chicken my mom forced me to swallow once even though my stomach churned and pleaded for me to figure a way out of having to. The country fried turkey special (Jan 2021) killed me dead. Seems as though it's been lovingly brined before crisply frying because the last juicy bite was just as delicious as the first juicy bite. Yeah, juicy... turkey. At first I thought there wasn't enough gravy (plus it's darker than the picture, don't worry), but it was the perfect amount to add flavor without drenching the meat in sauce (which, to be honest, would probably end up on my shirt at some point). *The squash goo that came with it was cold, but even my husband's warm portion didn't taste any better. Blesch. Swap that side out for any other (except squishy okra, unless that's your thing). Buttermilk biscuits are the way to go if you like light, fluffy, buttery carb goodness. We had to ask for jam (the butter was rock hard). Pick a beverage other than their stale tap water. We didn't get one, but saw another table order a burger - it looked good. The patty was decently thick, lettuce fresh, and paired with a pile of fries. I dig the gift shop. Prices aren't too crazy and there's something for everyone. Almost bought a blouse on our way out but had to hurry. Not many restaurants offer blouses, organic soaps, puzzles, and rocking chairs on the side. read more

This place is American home-cooking, so don't expect balsamic reductions or gourmet stuff, but just because food is simple doesn't mean it can't taste good.
