Maple Bacon Grilled Chicken
Dale B.

This is your typical Cracker Barrel. The facility is large and over filled with things to buy in the lobby. Things are always open and clean. Lots of people on hand to serve you. The menu is predictable and the food quality is consistent from place to place. On this visit...everyone was very friendly and professional. I'm not sure where our waitress was most of the time. However, the rest of the crew was very kind to respond to our requests when we got tired of waiting. Kudos to the team. Not so kudos to our waitress - who was very nice just not present. I was suprised that they now deliver a basket of bread ahead of the entrees. This was nice. The butter and jelly packets were tempting to devour them all before dinner. The biscuits are light, flaky and absolutely delicious! We tried the 2 for $8.99 appetizers. The white cheddar bites are pretty good. The cheese was nice and soft but firm enough to bite. The cheese had a mild taste and light breading. The fried pickle chips were okay. The chip was moderately thin and not much pickle zip taste. The breading was thin and had a resemblance of a corn meal type taste. My maple bacon chicken breast was good. There were two large pieces of chicken to fill you up. The chicken was moist and tender. The maple sauce was light and not too sweet. Little BBQ taste to accent the maple taste. The bacon strips were not crisp but easily cut.

Got Cracker Barrel through Door Dash as a treat. It was delicious! Super comforting. I always get biscuits, because I am not a fan of the cornbread. The greens are great with vinegar added.

Classic cracker barrel. Chances are if you have been on any roadtrip on a major highway you have seen the infamous yellow and brown signs for these country stores/kitchens. They are all pretty much the same on the inside with seasonal decor and nostalgic trinkets/candy in their store. This location is very crowded during the breakfast hours on the weekends so be prepared to wait a bit if you are looking to eat during these times. The good thing is, they serve some breakfast items all day. Inside it feels very homey and cozy especially during the colder months when the large fireplace is going. All the food I have gotten here has been good. The white gravy has a bit of a smoky flavor to it which I enjoy but others may not. All entrees typically come with biscuits or cornbread so you do get a lot of food. I recommend the meatloaf, chicken and dumplings and country fried steak for meals. The cooked carrots and fried apples are my favorite sides. The bathrooms here are not the cleanest and sometimes the store section is crammed so full you cannot move very well around. The service can be hit or miss. Generally it has been good but there have been a time or two that it could have been a bit better. One time we were even given the wrong check and almost paid too much.

Chicken pot pie... was excellent!

They do not accept reservations. I came with a group of 8 three of them with wheelchairs and I think they stuck us in the tiniest most inconvenient spot in the place. Other than that our food was delicious. Bathrooms were handicapped accessible. The food was a good deal but if you're going with a party that is large, you can call that doesn't guarantee the reservation..

So good! Cornbread and biscuits

Love Cracker Barrell. No matter which one you eat in, the food is always the same. Corn muffins, biscuits...just like granny used to make.

We were celebrating our anniversary so it was a special night for us. Our waitress was super but stretched thin so she wasn't as attentive as she probably was on another night. This is a very upscale place. Decor and service reflect that. Good old fashioned steakhouse vibe. Oysters Rockafeller were perfect. Bread was fresh and absolutely delicious. He had American Wagyu Ribeye. I had Steak Oscar. Both were cooked appropriately. Maybe slightly under seasoned as we both added salt which is not typical for us. The Old Fashioned was really good and they had a wide selection of wine/beer and a handful of specialty cocktails. Our 2nd round of drinks was comped due to slow service at the bar and dessert was on the house for our anniversary which we really appreciated. We will definitely go back and try other things on the menu. Our steaks were good but I wouldn't say they were worth the price. $110 for his and $80ish for my Oscar. It was a filet with truffled hollandaise sauce and a scant amount of King Crab. They no longer serve King Crab due to the cost. Strange. If we would pay $110 for a steak why wouldn't we pay for King Crab due but that was a minor detail. I wouldn't say have preferred more crab...give me snow crab. The dessert was delightful. Baked Alaska served table side with plenty of rum. Thank you for making us feel valued and special!

This restaurant has a nice ambiance but there is room for improvement…read more As a heads up, it's definitely on the pricier side. (e.g. the scallop dish had exactly 3 scallops for what you're paying.) Prices on the menu have also gone up since other Yelper pics of the menu. The bread and butter was delicious. There is a lot of it, so I asked to box up the leftover bread and butter. The waiter took it but definitely did not box up the same amount of bread that I left behind. I only received a fraction of what I expected to be boxed up. The butter was flat out discarded. I would have just boxed it up myself had I known that they'd make sure it would go to waste. Not sure what happened to my actual leftover bread. The waiter was telling me all about the desserts and really played up the baked Alaska. It sounded great and I had my heart set on it after hearing all about how awesome it was and then he came back and said they ran out. It would have been more efficient to check up on inventory before talking up the different menu items.

"Wanted a Home Run... Got Benched Instead"…read more I rarely visit Big League, but I gave it a shot yesterday after hearing about their pizza special -- two 14" two-topping pizzas for around $10.95 each. I called in my order: one pepperoni + green olives, one pepperoni + BBQ drizzle. The woman on the phone confirmed it exactly as I said. All seemed good. I showed up early to grab a drink and was excited to try a Trauma Llama Ding Dong from Teays River Brewing (which I specifically chose this spot for)... only to be told the draft system was down. Bummer #1. Not the end of the world, but still disappointing when it was part of my reason for picking Big League. Fast forward to me getting home, excited for pizza -- only to open the box and find black olives instead of green. I called back and asked, "Do you guys have green olives?" She shouted to the back, confirmed they did, then offered the world's flattest "oops." She said the system only lists "olives" without clarifying color. Well... then maybe mention that when someone specifically requests green olives? To be fair, I didn't raise a huge fuss, but I was genuinely disappointed. I'd driven across town, skipped my draft beer, and really had my hopes up for that salty green olive/pepperoni combo. The pizza itself? Decent. But the lack of attention to detail and the "oopsie teehee" attitude from staff didn't leave me eager to come back. Big League? You might wanna tighten up the lineup. Service matters, and little things like draft beer and correct toppings go a long way. Edit: I had a little more fun with this version because... well, laughter is therapy. Enjoy -- "Big League... Minor League Vibes." Decided to give Big League a try because they had a decent pizza deal -- two 14" two-topping pies for like $11 each. Sounds like a win, right? I called in my order: * One pepperoni with green olives * One pepperoni with BBQ drizzle The gal on the phone repeated it back perfectly. I was optimistic. That was my first mistake. I drive clear across town (I don't live close) because I'd heard their pizza was good and they serve Teays River beer on draft. Specifically went in hoping for a pint of Trauma Llama Ding Dong -- yes, that's really the name and yes, I wanted it in my hand. Walked in and was hit with: "Ohhh sorry, our draft system is down." No trauma llama. Just trauma. Still trying to salvage the mood, I take my bottled consolation beer and head home with my pizzas... only to open the box and be greeted by... black olives. Not the green ones I asked for. Not the green ones she confirmed on the phone. Just a sad, briny disappointment staring back at me. So I call, and I'm like, "Hey, do y'all have green olives?" She yells across the kitchen: "Do we have green olives?" Then goes, "Yeah we do -- we just have to cut 'em up ourselves." OH OK COOL COOL COOL, so you had them... just not where they needed to be -- ON MY PIZZA. Her excuse? "Well our system just says 'olives.' It doesn't say what kind." Girl. Giiiiiirl. If your ordering system is vague and I'm being specific, maybe mention that? Maybe don't serve me a surprise topping roulette? I didn't order a mystery pizza. This ain't the Olive Lottery. The worst part? She gave me that high-pitched "oh noooo, sowwy heehee" energy like she was trying out for a Disney Channel reboot instead of owning the mistake. Bottom line: I wanted draft beer and green olives. I got a bottled beer and a black olive betrayal. The pizza wasn't bad -- just not what I asked for. And I'm not mad... just mildly unhinged and writing Yelp reviews to cope. Big League? More like Little Effort. Get it together, y'all.

Finding your way to the restaurant with all the construction in 2025 sucked though, so be aware of that. There were 7 of us, tired and grumpy from the rainy Purdue Game, rolling in at about 9pm, ready to get some real food for dinner. Fortunately, we were seated right away. We got chatting and enjoyed looking around at the fascinating and delightful pub style decor. The history of the restaurant and its owners is on the back of the menu and is a great and heartwarming read. I ordered the regular size portion of corned beef and cabbage with mashed potatoes and a slice of deliciously dense Irish bread. My bf got a pint of cider and Irish stew with a slice of Irish bread. The table also split an order of pub chips and at the end, a slice of Irish Bailey's cheesecake. The cheesecake is a must get!! My bf paid our bill which was about $40, which is a great price for the large quantity of yummy Irish food we enjoyed. I would love to go back here anytime we are in town.

Once you walk in, you walk up to a counter place your order and they will call out your name on the order is ready for pick up. The sides are also a little bit unique in the sense that the vegetable sides also have added bacon, which is great to see. I personally love to see hush puppies, which is a very antiquated and rare to find option for food. And they did not disappoint. Overall, I would say from the sampler of the ribs and the chicken were fantastic as well as the pulled pork. The brisket was OK, but did not necessarily stand out. We did try four different barbecue sauces, which were all fantastic. The hush puppies as I stated earlier were absolutely delicious and I would come back just for these. We also got the corn pudding, which was a little bit on the sweeter side, but made and baked fresh just like everything else here. And this was a great alternative to cornbread. To top it all off, the staff here was so super nice, especially the young man at the counter when you first walked in as he also offered up a sample of the corn pudding because I've never heard of corn pudding nor did I ever tried it and this was also my first visit.
