We tried the lobster dishes here. Due to Halal guidelines we can't consume alcohol. The server was really nice and understanding of this, and made sure that our foods were cooked without alcohol. My family came into this red lobster 40 mins before closing, and for that I am SO SORRY. The place had like.. one other group. But they happily seated us. We were so hungry, thank you. Now the food! The cheese rolls (?) that they give at the table might have been my favorite part of the whole dinner. Theyre hot and cheesy, but theyre filling!! So i tried not to eat a whole basket. We walked in the door and was greeted immediately from the greeter to go in back towards the kitchen. She came out with menus and told us it would be a wait but we could get seated at the empty bar. So we moved to the bar. One station was taken up by two wait staff. One that proudly announced he was off the clock despite the wait gathering at the doors. The bartender greeted us once and said she would be back. She again addressed us after waiting saying she would get back to me. Then, we watched as the to-go girl behind the bar totaled tickets. The bartender yelled at people to stack (or not stack) their tickets. We heard her ask two people for help. She asked a manager, that walked past us, to find something. All this but no one bothered to even offer us water. Ten minutes later (yes, I used my stopwatch), I turned to my husband and we left having never been addressed for so much as a drink. 15 minutes of my life I will never get back. Ordered the steak medium rare , they came out black with a grey center, no juice at all. Took server over 30 minutes to come by to check, never even bring refills. My family and I have been loyal customers of this Red Lobster for decades. Pretty sure that ended tonight. We went in there a bit early, at 4pm, to beat the New Year's Eve rush. The greeter seated us in a booth and said our server would be right with us. After about 15 minutes the server came up and quickly told us someone else would be taking our order. After 30 minutes, I went back to the greeter and asked to speak with the manager. After several more minutes, and no manager, we decided to leave. I can tolerate slow service if there appears to be effort and we are acknowledged. In this case, we didn't even get a glass of water. What we got was a healthy dose of being ignored by the wait staff and the manager. It should be noted that only two other couples were seated by us, and they complained about the slow service and cold food. There also appeared to be plenty of staff on hand. I walked in and there was no host. I had to look for a host. I could tell the place was short staffed. We got sat down and our waitress was great! Made the looking for a host completely escape my mind. We ordered our food and it was cold, and soggy as if it was sat out for the 30 minutes I waited for food. Family dinner here to celebrate a birthday milestone! The food was very good and the staff were excellent. There are some pricey items on the menu but also several value items. The stuffed flounder with two sides was very good. My only complaint: the steamed broccoli was too salty. The side salads looked very fresh. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Overall five star service and four star food, with some 4.5 star food items such as the stuffed flounder and side salads. read more

Let me start by saying I am not hard to please at a restaurant. We were seated fairly quickly to a table in the bar area. We then waited 20 minutes for someone to come to our table. We had chatted with other tables around us about how bad the service was so we ordered food and drinks while she was at the table. We waited ANOTHER 20 minutes and no drinks or food were brought to the table.A couple in table beside us got up and left due to no one acknowledging them at all for 20 minutes or so. 2 other tables waited forever for checks. So we got up and left and went to Outback.I understand understaffing, but at least acknowledge people waiting and let them know what to expect and I can be more tolerant. This goes back to management in my opinion. They should be in tune to what is happening. Won't be back. This chain is in bankruptcy and it shows. No longer relevant in today's market. We unexpectedly stopped in for dinner on a Friday night as the restaurant that we wanted to go to had a long wait. There was no wait for a table which was nice but we weren't sure how the food/service would be. The restaurant was not busy and it was quiet and clean. Our server Liz was so great. It took a little while to get our drinks but she did bring them with fresh (hot) biscuits. She checked on our table a few times while we had our meal and when we asked for more sauces, she brought some for us and even extra for us to take home with our leftover biscuits (her recommendation was the Pina colada sauce with the biscuits and it was pretty good!). My fish and chips were quite overdone but I didn't say anything so I can't complain. Another person at our table also had the fish and chips and they were perfect so maybe it was just a fluke that mine was overdone. We will definitely be back at some point. read more

It may seem unusual to write an updated review a month after the original one, but, I think, fair is fair: since I was critical of a few things in the original review, it seems only right to point out that the problems seem to be alleviated. My wife and I placed another delivery order and this one went very well. The big problem last time (very delayed delivery and cold food) did not recur. Our delivery was right on time and the food did not require reheating. Another problem noted last time (french fries placed in the same container as steak) was not an issue now, but I noticed that the container had different compartments that kept items separate. Also, I realized that you can give special instructions, so in the future I'll just write a few words asking them to keep other stuff I may order separate from juicy entrees. The food was, as usual, delicious. This time I ordered, for the very first time, the bourbon and bacon chicken (which seems to have replaced the maple and bacon chicken) and it was excellent. My wife ordered the grilled salmon Caesar salad and really enjoyed it as well. read more

We were celebrating our youngest granddaughter's birthday and she chose here. We were seated quickly and our server took the drink order and gave us time to look over the menu. We ordered crab legs, Parmesan chicken, lobster rolls and a steak. The crab legs were plentiful, the lobster rolls were delicious, the chicken was very tasty but the steak needed a little more seasoning. Red Lobster has gotten ridiculously expensive. It is a chain restaurant, serving frozen fish and seafood, and yet charging the same or more than coastal restaurants who serve fresh-caught fare. One star is way more than this place deserves. Arrived at 5:30 to beat the crowd, got seated and ordered drinks and appetizer. The cup of clam chowder was served in a large bowl and it barley covered the bottom of the bowl. There was actually more grease than clam chowder. We waited for our meal for another 45 min and the waitress informed us that our ticket got bumped off the screen. Our food was now being prepared, another 30 min go by and she said our food was out next... After watching 4 more tables get served, we ended up leaving and offered to pay for the items we received. Where do I start? With the restaurant maybe 1/4 full,we were seated next to kitchen. Unacceptable. And we moved. Food; first our rolls were served not fully cooked and sent back. The same rolls were brought back over done. Apparently in a microwave or heated oven which no one over saw. Could not eat. Next,the "endless " shrimp. Trust, it was endless! Twice shrimp was sent back for being undercooked and received back still undercooked. Even bake potato was undercooked. It goes without saying this meal was not edible. Unfortunately this was probably the worse meal we have had in very long time. Even though our server tried very hard to make things decent,she couldn't overcome the terrible cooking. So when you spend $50 for dinner and have to go home and eat cereal. Doesn't say much for the restaurant. This is a very, consistently good restaurant for this area. I met a friend for drinks and dinner. She got a pina colada with strawberry and I got a raspberry lemonade with vodka ($7). Both drinks were really good ! I got a ceasar salad to start with my meal. I was really pleased with it and loved the pieces of fresh parmesan. For my meal, I got the Admirals Feast ($20). I like it because it has a little bit of everything: fried whitefish, fried shrimp, fried bay scallops and fried clams and baked potato. My friend got the fried shrimp. All was perfectly breaded and fried. The basket of cheddar cheese biscuits are divine that come with the meal. They also had large lobsters in the tank near the lobby. I haven't seen that in a while at a restaurant. Our waitress was good about checking on us, and I loved all the comfortable booths available. For a chain restaurant, this particular location is excellent. Great job to the store manager here on such a well-maintained restaurant with good food and good service. read more

So much salt in these restaurants! It is crazy, like Wendys and Panera with food shipped in from some frozen factory - I guess it's passable when it's easy to get full for $8 but $18? I average a stop here every 5 years because of that. There's better more engaging options in the area for dropping $15-20 like Red Seven, Town & Gown (wow what a place!), Teay's Brewing, and East End which all offer plenty of tasty fish options and more attention for value and nutrition. Surprisingly unlike my last time for Endless Shrimp, we didn't have to wait over 2 hours to get full! That was nice. Us 5 adults enjoyed the casual and refined atmosphere, shrimp options and one did a salmon bowl. I was bummed out there were no amazing off menu options for our shrimp (oddly) like last time when a Hot Nashville with honey almost made up for the crazy long delay between dishes. Our waitress was fabulous, quick to pick up the next option, kept drinks full, and brought bread till we burst. Another bummer is that Red Lobster is no longer under Darden so those gift cards you've been sitting on for Olive Garden and Cheddar's and Seasons 52 are not valid here. I did like the rewards program but again - without a bigger chain group (like Bloomin Brand's Rewards) it's only for those who really love Red Lobster. read more

Red Lobsters food quality and portions have gotten better since they are no longer a Darden restaurant. Coconut shrimp is truly wonderful. Great size! I've never been impressed by the lobster pizza as I just don't think it has any flavor. Salty bottom and bland. All of the fresh fish, grilled or broiled is a safe bet. I wouldn't waste your time on the crab legs. Grilled scallops are worth it if you don't mind the up charge. I worked at a Red Lobster for years in the Kitchen and serving. Food is great if you make the right choices. Biscuits are delicious if you can get fresh ones. read more

We was told we would have an hour wait, meanwhile we watched 8 carry out orders leave. When we were seated, an hour and half the waiter was very attentive. The fish was pathetic, the scallops were cold, the clams were like rubber and the shrimp were overcooked. The broccoli and biscuits were pretty good and so was the water. I had this waitress named lily with blue hair and she was absolutely amazing. She was really nice and helped me find food cuz I haven't really tried a lot of seafood.
