    Fried Mushrooms

Awesome awesomeness! Nice and clean inside. Service was kind and efficient, we didn't have to wait long for our food. The buffalo chicken mac was so delicious. Very flavorful. Fresh green onions on top, cheesy, and quality chicken. I was so full, but I couldn't stop eating it. The fried mushrooms were also amazing. The batter would fall off a bit when dipping, but I don't care. It was delicious. I got way more than I expected too. My picture was only after I ate some. My kids loved everything. Wings, fries, and toast. One of them is really picky so that was awesome that they loved it. My husband and I both agree that the quality of the wings is great for the price. Definitely coming back here.

Try this place on a random Saturday early evening and did the drive-through only. Luckily, there was no line. Pricing is pretty fair. However, the area is sparse with competition especially on places that specialize on chicken tenders. For example, raising canes is still not in the area yet. While the staff was very nice, it did take a little while for the food to be prepared. Further, we did get to Sotos and there was something off about the syrup in the machine but that is not their fault. That is something to address with Coca-Cola. Overall, the food was solid and it was good however, not really seasoned at all as far as a chicken batter is concerned. The waffles or waffles nothing fantastic or unique. I'm not sure I would come back because there's nothing that truly sticks out. Keep in mind the brand new Popeyes in town just opened right across the block.

This West Lafayette location is the only one in Indiana! I hope they add more! The restaurant started in 2003 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It's really nice inside. The employees were friendly and helpful! They had about 4 different teas and fresh lemonade available. We ordered chicken and waffles, slim wraps, and fried okra. All were good! I really liked the breading on the chicken. It had nice flavor to and it wasn't greasy and they perfectly sized tenders. They use a buttermilk marinade for the chicken and are hand breaded. They had 17 different sauces to choose from and they had a refrigerator of delicious looking dessert jars. Chocolate brownie pudding, strawberry cheesecake, and Oreo cheesecake jars. They also offer milkshakes, fried mushrooms, fried pickles, salads, wraps and wings. Will be back!

Burnt toast. Soggy fries. The only thing worth coming back for is the ranch. By "burnt toast" I mean BURNT toast. And it's not even good bread?? It's basically Wonder Bread. Fries are so unremarkable it's scary. Chicken fingers are small and reminiscent of frozen tenders from the grocery. This is my second time getting food from them. Thought the first bad meal was a fluke so I didn't bother leaving a review. Now I know why they never have lines at the drive through.

Food was good, but found a hair in my cayenne ranch. I don't think I can eat ranch from there after this

One of the easiest recommendations I've had, us guys have dropped in four times in past two weeks! The strawberry milkshake, wow! Chicken and waffles, cayenne spicy chicken sandwich, and atmosphere here are winners. The service isn't fast food fast but about right for quality. The drive through a Wednesday night was crazy slow, about 20 minutes waiting. Rewards program is excellent, prices decent, they're often out of ingredients which is odd considering nothing here is that unique except the okra but who is getting all of that? Would like to see gluten and dairy free options showing up quickly. Popeyes and Slims are the new standard for chicken sandwiches, menu variety, and casual eating.

Went in for dinner with my family. I was hopeful the bread and fries would be better this time ,but I was wrong it wasn't. So I tried the fried mushrooms. They were just ok, but the cheese cake jars they are yummy, and chicken isn't bad either. For service, I wasn't blown away. There was a young lady who was very rude while taking our order, not to mention my order wasn't correct after I received it. I might give them another chance a few months down the road when they arnt so new .

I'm not usually one for chain restaurants but I have been hearing a lot of good things about Slim Chickens and I decided to give them a try since I was close by. I'm glad I stopped in and I was pleasantly surprised with the taste of the chicken and the sauces I chose. I went for the 3 and 3 meal which included 3 tenders and 3 n bone in wings. I opted for the sauce on the side and was able to choose from actual sauce or even seasoning rubs. I went with Buffalo and Garlic Parmesan and both were to my liking. The Buffalo seems like a classic Buffalo with not too much heat and the Garlic Parmesan was a lot more flavorful than I expected. There was a lot of food in the basket and for the price I payed I felt it was worth what I got. The meal comes with 2 sauces, a drink and fries. I'm not sure if you can substitute sides or not. The drink selection is fountain style Coke products and a selection of teas brewed separately. The bone in wings were all different sizes and I received a bonus wing most likely due to one or two being a little on the skimpy side. The meat on the wings were tasty and not dry or over cooked. The tenders were breaded up with a nice coating that wasn't too thick and they were pretty decent size. Overall very pleased for a chain restaurant and most likely will stop by again when I'm in a rush!

Tonight I was fortunate to have been invited to the Friends & Family soft open of the new West Lafayette Slim Chickens. With it being a soft opening, I was managing my usually high expectations of a restaurant but they hit it out of the park! The food was served very fast, hot, perfectly cooked and it was seriously delicious! They provided stellar service even on a training night. The seating area is comfortable and well decorated. They have a drive thru, outside and inside seating. And we loved the fresh brewed teas and lemonade. We can't wait for Slim Chickens to fully open and try other things on the menu like the buffalo chicken wrap, milkshakes and that dreamy cheesecake jar! Yum!!!

The space looks great, it's clean, and the staff is genuinely friendly. Service was very fast, even with multiple large groups in the room. Noise was completely reasonable. If anything, it may feel "a little loud" to someone whose baseline is the quieter side of the Lafayette-area dining scene, but compared to bigger-city restaurants it was fully fine and well within what I'd expect. Overall, The Bryant would fit right in in a market like Oklahoma City, Dallas, New York, or Pittsburgh and wouldn't feel out of place at all. Highly recommended.

I thought I was underdressed, but the dress code seems pretty casual. Water was served in a cold milk bottle. I could not decide what to order; everything on the menu looked absolutely delicious. The menu described the items well, and when I asked the wait staff for their preference or any recommendations, she told me five different favorite items that are often ordered, which was nice, but was not what I asked. I finally decided on the strawberry-and-brie cheeseburger. I ordered it medium well with fries. I was really disappointed in the French fries; they tasted old and cold, and when I cut into the hamburger, it was bloody. I sent the burger back, and this time they brought it out well done. The staff argued that it was medium well, with blood coming out of it. And before anybody thinks I'm confusing the strawberry jam on the burger with bloody pink meat, please see the picture. Upon receiving the new burger, which was cooked well done, I found it to be very good. It was tasty and juicy. As I was finishing my meal, a young family came in, and their child was making a lot of noise. A gentleman told them that if the child did not calm down, they would have to go outside. When the family tried to speak with the gentleman further, he continued walking away and did not stop to answer questions. I was not sitting close to this table, and yet I heard the gentleman talking to the young couple. Had I not already received my food and been getting ready to leave, I would have gotten up and gone with the couple in support. I understand setting standards, especially when the restaurant is bustling, but at this point, as a server, I could only observe two other tables in the entire restaurant, and one of them was preparing to leave. If I ever returned to this area, this restaurant would not be one I would return to.

We were celebrating our anniversary so it was a special night for us. Our waitress was super but stretched thin so she wasn't as attentive as she probably was on another night. This is a very upscale place. Decor and service reflect that. Good old fashioned steakhouse vibe. Oysters Rockafeller were perfect. Bread was fresh and absolutely delicious. He had American Wagyu Ribeye. I had Steak Oscar. Both were cooked appropriately. Maybe slightly under seasoned as we both added salt which is not typical for us. The Old Fashioned was really good and they had a wide selection of wine/beer and a handful of specialty cocktails. Our 2nd round of drinks was comped due to slow service at the bar and dessert was on the house for our anniversary which we really appreciated. We will definitely go back and try other things on the menu. Our steaks were good but I wouldn't say they were worth the price. $110 for his and $80ish for my Oscar. It was a filet with truffled hollandaise sauce and a scant amount of King Crab. They no longer serve King Crab due to the cost. Strange. If we would pay $110 for a steak why wouldn't we pay for King Crab due but that was a minor detail. I wouldn't say have preferred more crab...give me snow crab. The dessert was delightful. Baked Alaska served table side with plenty of rum. Thank you for making us feel valued and special!

(e.g. the scallop dish had exactly 3 scallops for what you're paying.) Prices on the menu have also gone up since other Yelper pics of the menu. The bread and butter was delicious. There is a lot of it, so I asked to box up the leftover bread and butter. The waiter took it but definitely did not box up the same amount of bread that I left behind. I only received a fraction of what I expected to be boxed up. The butter was flat out discarded. I would have just boxed it up myself had I known that they'd make sure it would go to waste. Not sure what happened to my actual leftover bread. The waiter was telling me all about the desserts and really played up the baked Alaska. It sounded great and I had my heart set on it after hearing all about how awesome it was and then he came back and said they ran out. It would have been more efficient to check up on inventory before talking up the different menu items.

We got chatting and enjoyed looking around at the fascinating and delightful pub style decor. The history of the restaurant and its owners is on the back of the menu and is a great and heartwarming read. I ordered the regular size portion of corned beef and cabbage with mashed potatoes and a slice of deliciously dense Irish bread. My bf got a pint of cider and Irish stew with a slice of Irish bread. The table also split an order of pub chips and at the end, a slice of Irish Bailey's cheesecake. The cheesecake is a must get!!
