We were staying at a hotel across from the river and walked over here per recommendations from a hotel staff. I didn't see much parking nearby so I was glad we walked over the pedestrian bridge. Ordered a local beer, forgot the name but it said it was brewed at Lafayette. Dark amber was what I had. Hamburger I had some garlic in it, the dark amber beer and garlic taste went perfectly well. Server had a very nice smile and provided attentive service. Nice ambiance, great food and service. If I were to live nearby, this would be my regular place.

I got the Stilton Bleu Cheese burger with fries and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Burger was cooked to medium. The truffle aioli elevated the burger, with the right balance of garlic/truffle feel. The fries were crispy and salty (a tad more salted than my personal preference, but still very good). They had there own house ketchup which was very unique and different then a typical store ketchup. I was definitely a fan of it!! Staff was very friendly , and the restaurant was in a nice location. Burger and fries were about $18(tad pricy, but delicious). I would come again if I'm in the area. 8.2/10

    Heated Outdoor patio

This was a 6 out of 5. I wanted to have lunch with my son, but I was more than an hour early. I walked in with my laptop bag and explained the situation to them and they were so kind. They walked me to the covered and heated outdoor patio and said that would be a nice quiet place for me to work undisturbed. The waiter kept checking on me, I had a drink, and he kept it filled. It took my son a little closer to an hour and a half before he joined me. I had the honey chipotle barbecue sandwich, he had the Bru burger. The flavor was great, my chicken was crisp, moist and had some heat. The fries were great... and I usually don't waste my time on french fries. My son had the root beer float and he said it was just as good as red Robin and he is a serious fan of their root beer floats. I can't remember the name of the root beer but it is some kind of a local root beer that comes in a glass bottle and he was super excited. Courteousness an attentiveness staff was equally as great as the food. They were so accommodating. The heated patio was great. It was nice to sit on my laptop and be able to stare outside at the foot traffic. I love it that it is near the pedestrian bridge over the river. Had it been a little warmer I would've taken a walk as well. It's a great location in the coolest part of downtown there was also a city parking lot nearby that allowed for free parking.

    Pork nachos

Not sure what the hype is. The food looks nice but lacks flavor. Our group ordered the pork nachos. Very light on toppings at the top and bare chips underneath. Nowhere near enough cheese to try and save the tortilla chips underneath. The burger was also lackluster. Massive onion slices on the mushroom Swiss but was missing mushrooms. Finally found them very thinly diced. Not even the fries, which had an oddly sweet seasoning could save this meal.

We had a nice dinner here this evening. We sat at the bar and were greeted by the friendly bartender Rachael. Seating was comfortable and we were able to watch sone football as we dined. Hubbie had a beer from the wide selection. I had a pear cosmo. For dinner we started with the dip trio. Yum- there was a goat cheese and pep Padres spread, chunky Guac and hummus with grilled naan and onion straws. All were excellent but the giant cheese with jelly was the standout. We also shared a queso turkey burger which was very good and very messy and a Siracha. Caesar salad. An enjoyable dinner!

    Triple Dip, Impossible Burger

Went to Bru Burger on a Friday night and although it was packed and it was homecoming weekend, we were seated in less than 30 minutes. They had vegan options like the impossible burger which was nice for non-meat eaters. The cocktails were also really good. The spicy pomegranate margarita is a must try for sure. It was not spicy but the flavors worked really well with the tequila. Try the triple dip if you want a light and delicious starter. Bru Burger is definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Lafayette.

The space looks great, it's clean, and the staff is genuinely friendly. Service was very fast, even with multiple large groups in the room. Noise was completely reasonable. If anything, it may feel "a little loud" to someone whose baseline is the quieter side of the Lafayette-area dining scene, but compared to bigger-city restaurants it was fully fine and well within what I'd expect. Overall, The Bryant would fit right in in a market like Oklahoma City, Dallas, New York, or Pittsburgh and wouldn't feel out of place at all. Highly recommended.

I thought I was underdressed, but the dress code seems pretty casual. Water was served in a cold milk bottle. I could not decide what to order; everything on the menu looked absolutely delicious. The menu described the items well, and when I asked the wait staff for their preference or any recommendations, she told me five different favorite items that are often ordered, which was nice, but was not what I asked. I finally decided on the strawberry-and-brie cheeseburger. I ordered it medium well with fries. I was really disappointed in the French fries; they tasted old and cold, and when I cut into the hamburger, it was bloody. I sent the burger back, and this time they brought it out well done. The staff argued that it was medium well, with blood coming out of it. And before anybody thinks I'm confusing the strawberry jam on the burger with bloody pink meat, please see the picture. Upon receiving the new burger, which was cooked well done, I found it to be very good. It was tasty and juicy. As I was finishing my meal, a young family came in, and their child was making a lot of noise. A gentleman told them that if the child did not calm down, they would have to go outside. When the family tried to speak with the gentleman further, he continued walking away and did not stop to answer questions. I was not sitting close to this table, and yet I heard the gentleman talking to the young couple. Had I not already received my food and been getting ready to leave, I would have gotten up and gone with the couple in support. I understand setting standards, especially when the restaurant is bustling, but at this point, as a server, I could only observe two other tables in the entire restaurant, and one of them was preparing to leave. If I ever returned to this area, this restaurant would not be one I would return to.
