My husband just ordered the ultimate omelette, and I ordered a ham and Swiss omelet. I never order omelettes because I don't want overcooked eggs and most burn them. I tried it today because someone commented that they did eggs well. They do. My omelette was fluffy and filled with ham. My husband's omelet was so packed with meat and vegetables that it couldn't be closed. He really enjoyed it. We asked for well-done potatoes and got well-done potatoes the coffee was OK not great not bad but I'm really fussy about coffee so take that with a grain of salt. You'll see the picture of his silver dollar pancakes and they look very pale, but they were well-cooked. We were warned when we entered that they were having some sort of trouble with the ticket machine and it might take longer than usual it didn't take any longer than I've waited many times before We'll be going back. I posted a picture of the front and a nearby business with a larger sign so you should be able to find it. It's a very small place and somehow we kept missing it so I hope the pictures help. Both of these two waitresses checked on us often. I do see one possible problem, the place is tiny in the middle of winter when that door opens. You're not far away from it. I've been here 2x so far. All I've gotten is the giant tenderloin. It was so good the 1st time that I had to get it again. It fills an oval dinner plate, tastes great & is pretty cheap, too! Less than $10 + tip. The staff & other customers are very friendly, as well. I will definitely be back!! The only down side is they are CASH ONLY. The attitudes of the employees. The older cook has a very bad attitude. They don't list when you order. I got the wrong order.

Only good thing I can say and that I would absolutely definitely recommend is the tenderloin.... No shit it's as big as a dinner plate loaded with the goods! W a bag of chips and a kosher pickle. ALL UNDER $10. Anything else I don't know! But that right there is all u need! Oh yea couple rude waitresses who look like they have been gone through by the cooks, random trucker customers, and put away wet. But the food is on point. Why post closing time when you close whenever you fill like it. Race there to get 2 jumbo tenderloins and fries got there at 7:45 only to find out you closed early. 1.8 Overall I have had B&N recommended one time since being in Lafayette. Decided to try it why I was waiting on my vehicle to be serviced across the street. The food was all cooked fine, served hot. The coffee was likely the best part aside from a very sweet server. The omelette was the whipped fluffy style, I prefer old fashioned folded omelette. The ingredients were just laid in the center and not incorporated at all into the eggs. The potatoes were well cooked but bland, gravy was void of any flavor and biscuit seemed to be from the previous day and warmed on the griddle, very dense and unremarkable. The whole breakfast was unremarkable to be honest. It was good to finally try it but I don't believe I'll go back. To many other options that are far better. read more

Tried to order thru Doordash. Get a message that my order was accepted. Then a message that my driver was at the restaurant waiting for my order. About 15 minutes after that, someone from Doordash calls me to tell me the restaurant can't fulfill my order. They refunded my money, but here I sit 30+ minutes into my order. And the only thing with a hint of flavor was the jelly for the toast. Im not sure how one makes bacon flavorless, but they've evidently unlocked the secret. Interesting place. It's across from the mall and hard to know it's a restaurant if you didn't already. Another review suggested there was room for 20 people...that's crazy talk. More like 40. But 40 is still a very small restaurant. We sat kind of near the door, and when the cold air comes blowing in it can be a little uncomfortable. With all the old folks sloooowly entering, this could be a problem for some. The place was full by the time we got our food at about noon on Friday. They have a cadre of old-lady waitresses. That's a good diner touch. Tables and chairs and really the whole place is about as blue-collar feeling as a diner could be - old-timey in an authentic sense, not in a 'chain-restaurant putting kitschy crap on the walls' sense. The patrons were old people and workers on lunch breaks. They're cash only. (ATM on site.) Seemed to be enough parking what with a mostly empty car lot next door, and they did have a few tables outside for when the weather gets nice. The menu says "no substitutions" everywhere. I'm not sure if I believe it. What are all these substitutions that needed banning? I ordered the "best tenderloin in town" - (largest of the two sizes offered) with french fries. Daughter got a hamburger and fries. My tenderloin was very good. Top 50% in town at least. If my bun didn't completely fall apart halfway through it may have at least been in the running for one of the top tenderloins in town. At first I thought I had made a mistake ordering the jumbo, but not at all. I was asked if I wanted lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mayo on it. Declined the mayo, though it felt like a substitution that should have been banned based on that dictatorial menu. Fries were just so-so. Daughter's hamburger was also so-so. Prices were not as cheap as some reviewers claim. Tenderloin and fries was $10. Kids meal was $5. Those are going rate for sit-down restaurants - I expected a diner discount on pricing. Diner style set up with an exceptionally wide variety on the menu. Like others point out-no cards...only cash-no biggie (atm available). We both went for the famous tenderloin & loved it. Huge, thick, tasty & hot. Didn't have the hunger to try it but we noticed they had a huge crock of chili which looked super inviting. A specials board noted several kinds of pie, cheesecake & even cinnamon rolls-umm that's making my belly scream to come back!!! In our journey to try different diners for Sunday post-church brunch, we stopped in B&N Diner. Two in our party had visited there in the past and had no complaints. First thing you need to know right at the first is CASH ONYL. There is an ATM on site. The food here is great. Crispy bacon, and you can switch out toast for two small pancakes. The service was very fast considering that the place was full and it appeared there was only one server. And the prices are the cheapest you'll find anywhere in town. The only complaint I have is that the place is too small. Do not bring a large group here. In fact do not bring any group larger than four. We managed with five, but that was pure luck that we could fit a spare chair. There is one table with five chairs in a corner but it doesn't look comfortable. There is counter seating as well. The dining area is nicely decorated and semi-tasteful, much what you would expect at a small diner. This is the only restaurant I've seen that has dedicated motorcycle parking, marked off with a plastic chain and American flags, the universal sign for cycle parking. Vehicle parking is also small, and for some reason people like to hang out in their cars in the parking lot. However, let none of that deter you from enjoying the great food and prices at the B&N. read more

Very disappointed that the restaurant uses margarine instead of real butter. As for the ribeye breakfast, pancakes were delicious yet the hash brown was over cooked and way too oily; I asked for the ribeye steak to be medium rare yet it came in well done.
