I've grown up loving Cracker Barrel, but today it was a bit of a sad experience. The burger I ordered was delicious but the fries were just a few and tasted as if they had been out all night, cracked, dry and a bit cold. Our waitress was nice but never offered us water, just asked to refill our coffee once. They put my original order in wrong; and I had ordered a side of pancakes that never came; which at the end I just decided I could live without them. Went here on a road trip and was so utterly disappointed. Long wait, extremely rude staff. The waitress was playing on her apple watch and rushed us out of the door within a half hour. My issue is that I called this place 4 times in a row to place a simple to go order (between 8:30pm and 8:40pm, they close at 10) and all 4 times someone clearly picked up the phone and immediately hung up. I like Cracker Barrel but I had the worst experience here. Yes the waitress was knew but she should know the menu. I ordered the county boy breakfast. My overs easy eggs was raw good way to get sick. I love(d) Cracker Barrel and have for many years. It was always been my go-to restaurant when travelling. But no more. The food is still good, at least what I had (trout), although my friend had a baked sweet potato that was covered with marshmellow that she did not like. It looked gross. The server (who was also quite good by the way) didn't ask if she wanted the marshmellow topping. My main complaint is the new menu. Many of the things I liked (catfish, haddock, Reuben sandwich) are gone. I couldn't even get a side of rice with my fish. All in all, my experience at Cracker Barrel yesterday did not measure up to the pleasant experiences I have had in the past. There is a very good diner right next door to this Cracker Barrel. Service was good but I'm disappointed with the fact that a chicken bacon and Colby cheese sandwich was 8.99 ..... I ordered just a BLT which was not on the menu and I was charged only 30 cents less.... .... makes no sense ... no chicken, no Colby cheese and then maybe .. 3 slices of bacon on my BLT... I kindly mentioned it to the waitress in case it was a mistake and she told me I don't make the prices and that's probably why it's not on the menu I said you're right because people wouldn't pay that much money for a BLT with barely 3 slices of bacon.... and things like this is why I don't like Cracker Barrel.... I should have went to the diner or Panera :( P.S. Just back from Cracker Barrel. What a disappointment! Ordered from the simple breakfast portion of the menu. First of all, the coffee went cold while waiting for the rest of the order. It actually tasted horrible & the server had to replace it. I ordered the Momma breakfast: 2 eggs over easy & blueberry pancakes. They wouldn't substitute hash browna for the bacon....so, didn't get any. The eggs came out all runny & the pancakes weren't pancakes at all...mostly just watery blueberries. Couldn't finish it. Absolutely horrible! This place has gone down hill in the last several months. The food is disgusting, the quantity and a quality. I don't know if there is new management or if all CB have changed the quality/quantity of food but it needs to go back to the way it was a year ((+) ago. The last two times we have come here in the last 6 months it's been so disappointing. Pancakes use to be so delicious and now they stink!! Just left there and my chicken was pink, okra taste like it's been sitting there all day.l and was clumped together. Biscuits are soooo small now compared to how they use to be. A typical Cracker Barrel. I don't think I've ever been to a location that wasn't crowded. We did have to wait a bit, but not a lot. You would expect the kitchen to take a bit to get food out, but it came out fairly quickly. The food was great and comforting. The service was friendly and attentive. Terrible! Went in this afternoon for breakfast/ lunch. We were seated quickly and our waitress was on top of things. My mom had chicken and dumplings, though it was honestly hard to discern between the two. The dumplings were essentially long, fat noodles, and the chicken was completely tasteless. My younger sister ordered the Mac and cheese off of the kids menu. She got a side order-sized bowl of Mac and cheese; it came with no vegetables or sides. I got some sort of breakfast sampler. It was decent, but it is pretty hard to screw up bacon and eggs. That being said the hashbrowns were way undercooked, and the biscuits came with butter and jam in plastic packets (a far cry from the "fresh jams" the menu advertised). Visited from Westchester County since my friend and I were craving some good ol' Cracker Barrel; which we don't have in our area! Our orders were taken right away, however was about a 20 min wait for our food which was odd because they usually serve us within 5 minutes. Whoever it was that brought Cracker Barrel to this world, thank you. Thank you, a million times, thank you. This was my first trip to any Cracker Barrel of any kind, and I am extremely glad it happened. After a crazy wedding and crazier after partying, the next day I needed a good hangover breakfast. Luckily one of my friends that drove is moderately Cracker Barrel obsessed so there was no problem getting the group to stop and eat here before going our separate ways. I had eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits with sausage gravy and fried apples for less than $7. Everything was exactly what I needed. I actually wanted the hash brown casserole instead of the fried apples, but they had just run out and waiting 20 minutes for it didn't seem worth it, even though I really wanted to see just how hash browns could be made into a casserole. As anyone reading this would probably know, if you're showing up here on a Sunday, be prepared to wait. It was about 30-40 minutes for us. But it's worth it. Absolutely, under all circumstances. And there was even something better. My more hungover friend ordered chicken and dumplings, ate two bites and said no matter how good they were, his stomach wouldn't let him eat anything. Ventured to the infamous Cracker Barrel for a late breakfast meal. I really thought the breakfast was going to be delicious based on reviews and recommendations from friends but sadly it was so disappointing. First of all service was slooow. Our waitress was training someone so you would think they would have had a handle on things but they were pretty inattentive. I ordered coffee and it took some time for it to come and I never got a refill during this entire meal. I ordered a basic egg dish off the menu and I must say, the scrambled eggs were good. Well, that's about it. My bacon was over cooked, not a fan of the hash-brown concoction. It was too thick, and oniony for me. Not a fan of grits or biscuits and gravy. I am a fan of French toast and the batch on our table had no pizzazz. No cinnamon flare. Nothing. Tasted like plain ole bread dipped in plain ole eggs and lightly grilled. The maple syrup is served warm in a cute little bottle which was cute. I probably won't return to eat but I did give it 3 stars because the country store is really cute and gives you that country feel when browsing. Lots of little unique items to enjoy. Next time I feel like a good breakfast meal, I will head over to a diner. read more

3 stars for being, "A-Okay." Really a shame that I must travel 50 miles to reach this branch of Cracker Barrel, which is the closest to a location I am familiar with. Like most Cracker Barrels, they sell the little knack knacks that make the experience great for my kid. The service is also the same as most branches, which really surprised me since it is still relatively close to city life. They have the same wholesome, kind, hokey attitude that is like finding a delicate rare 4 leafed clover in the inner city. The food was just as delicious and comforting as other branches, however my wife did get sick after eating sunny side eggs and sausages that she said tasted off, but thought nothing of it at the time. It's still not proven that the food actually did it, so I'll not be deducting any stars. I'll be coming back as part of my Sunday lunch rotation. read more

I have to preface this review with ...I love Cracker Barrel. However, this particular location provided me with the worst service I have ever received at a Cracker Barrel and I frequent this establishment a few times a year. I ordered my usual, The Cracker Barrel Country Boy Breakfast. (Which on their menu states - Country Ham, Pork Chops or Steak* grilled to order, Three Eggs* cooked to order served with Fried Apples, Hashbrown Casserole, Grits, Sawmill Gravy and Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits.) Everyone in my party received their food first, which I was okay with, despite the fact that my meal was the least elaborate. However, upon receipt of my plate I was highly disappointed. My eggs were scrambled, not sunny side up, and they had neglected to bring the fried apples and the hashbrown casserole. It took 10 minutes to get our server's attention. I quickly told her she had given me scrambled not sunny side up eggs, and my meal was lacking its two accompaniments (my two favorite, might I had). She said she would bring me the eggs, however my meal came with either fried apples OR the hashbrown, not both. I would say I've been to Cracker Barrel at LEAST 15 times in my lifetime. Every single Cracker Barrel, aside from this location, has a staff that is friendly, accommodating, and willing to please the customer. You would think that after already screwing up my order, she would consider appeasing the situation. No, this was not this case here. Our server continued to argue with me that I could only receive one of the two selections, although NOWHERE on the menu does it say OR. Needless to say, she did eventually bring out three sunny side up eggs and the hashbrown casserole, but sadly, I had to forego the apples. At this point though, everyone in my party had finished eating, my food had gone cold, and I was thoroughly pissed. (Just a fun fact, the table next to us, had not been cleared the entire time we were there. While this wasn't a big deal for me, it miffed the people I was with. It wasn't even busy! ) Save yourself the trouble and find another Cracker Barrel to go to. Not only will you be treated with delicious food but you'll actually get customer service. read more

I understand things have changed because of covid, but this place is out of line. I don't know the woman's name who is managing this place, but she is downright nasty and mean. We did the wait online and it said 15-20 min wait, and were told by the host that it would be at least an hour wait. After questioning the 20 min, the manager rudely said well it changes. While I understand that it said 20 mins online, triple that is just insane and so we left. Food wasn't that good the last time I was here, but I was willing to try it out again. Convenient and always a good value with a positive attitude! And always preferable to fast food. The service is consistent and the management staff is attentive and honest. I can honestly say I love this place. Is it the best food in the world? Nope. Is it great food and completely reasonable prices? Yep. It is one of the only places that understands how to properly cook grits. About the only thing I DON'T like at Cracker Barrel is the corn bread. It is absolutely wrong 100% of the time. Every once in awhile we decide to venture to Cracker Barrel and last night (12/2) was one of those nights. We were seated as soon as we arrived (place was about 1/2 full) and then we waited. It took our server (Kaitlyn) a VERY long time to even take our beverage order and then even longer to bring it. We ordered and waited again. She finally brought out the biscuits and corn muffins (probably another 15+ minutes after ordering) and the table behind us and the table next to us received their food before us, even though they arrived quite a bit after us. Finally food arrives and asks us if we need anything else. Yes, we reply, we need a drink refill on the Dr. Pepper and the gravy for the mashed potatoes. She returns with the drink, the broccoli (that she acknowledged hadn't come out), but no gravy. My husband never did get the gravy throughout the meal and I waited until I was basically done with my meal for a water refill because she did the great disappearing act again. His steak was cooked to basically well done, even though he asked for medium rare. At that point we had waited so long, he just ate it. I never go to CB and expect exceptional service or food but I also don't expect to be there for over an hour on a night when the restaurant is slow. read more

Haven't been here for awhile and now remember why... hostess took us to a dirty table and walked away... had to go get her and her response was "oh". Meals werent horrible but received burnt corn muffins (picture attached). Asked for over easy eggs but received them so hard there was no yolk... my wife's fish was ok. A different waitress overheard us talking about the burnt muffins and told us management wants them briught to table regardless of condition and if the customer complains new ones will be brought out.
