I've been to multiple Cracker Barrels and this one produces the same yummy food at a great price. I go to this location because it happens to be the closest one to me. I feel bad rating it a 3 because on a breakfast scale they are close to a 5, but in comparison to higher quality restaurants they can only be so good. I almost always get the blueberry pancakes with a side of hashbrown casserole. They never disappoint, I find myself craving them most days. Between the blueberry syrup and the batter they use for the pancakes your sweet tooth will definitely be satisfied. Today I got a side of fruit and it was very fresh and just the perfect amount. My boyfriend ordered the regular buttermilk pancakes and a side of hashbrown casserole. I had to give him some of my casserole because he was sad he downed his before he even touched his pancakes! The sweetened iced tea is what you would expect, throw in Splenda and a lemon and you're all set! Went here this morning with my friend. 40 minute wait for the two of us. Certainly wasn't expecting that on a random Monday morning but they were still operating at limited capacity due to covid so totally understandable. Our server was super nice and helpful. I got the grandmas sampler: two pancakes, well done eggs, bacon, ham, sausage and hash brown casserole. My friend got mommas frenchtoast: French toast, well done eggs, sausage, and a side of fried apples. Food was spectacular and super flavorful. Pancakes were light and crispy. French toast was cooked perfectly! The fried apples really sealed the deal and were delicious!Ham and bacon nice and crispy. Sausage was okay, would most likely not get the sausage again. I really liked the individual syrup bottles. They also had sugar free syrup which I was super appreciative of. The ketchup came in a to go cup, assembly because of covid protocols. We walked in and were automatically accosted by several employees to wear a mask, even though dutchess county isn't enforcing the mask mandate and the current governor doesn't have the power to leaglly implement a mandate. But that aside we were seated quickly and the waitress came over and took our order. we ordered food and drinks and received our food BEFORE we even received our drinks or silverware. At least 5 employees walked by and looked at our table and 10 minutes later we still had no silverware and my husband NEVER received the salad he ordered. As far as Cracker Barrels go, this was one of the best I've ever visited. Maybe it was the time of day I was there (around 2 pm) but it was not busy and the service was outstanding. Our server was very attentive, and even made suggestions to make our CB experience better. Now, I go to Cracker Barrel so I can be a fat ass, but having someone being attentive and not being totally overbearing is something I can truly enjoy at any establishment. Plus, this one was one of the few that is not in the middle of nowhere - there are many other establishments nearby. Fun, fun, fun!! Where to begin? I loved everything about my experience there. It was my first time at cracker barrel and i am certainly going back. I went for lunch with my family and its just so quaint and charming. The shop had such cute odds n ends i wanted to buy it all. The place was packed and food was yummy. I especially enjoyed the variety and the food pairings they have. I ordered a chicken salad that came with half of a toasted blueberry muffin and 2 slices of cheese. Ate the whole thing. Never had eaten at a Cracker Barrel before and decided to stop by for breakfast. Great service, amazing chicken, and positive atmosphere. I will definitely come back and dine in at this restaurant. I even ordered delivery a week later for diner and everything was placed neatly in containers, they provided napkins/utensils/butter everything most places forget or don't care to check for customers. When we got tired of the Free complimentary breakfast at the hotel (yes, I understand I said free), what better place than Cracker Barrel to enjoy a good breakfast! We had a 14 hour drive back to Chicago, and we knew we needed a good, well-balanced, breakfast, that would keep us satisfied on the road. We practically got there when the place opened, so there weren't many people having breakfast. Our waitress was excellent. She was very kind and attentive to our needs, and immediately served us coffee. My girlfriend and I both got the breakfast sampler, which comes with eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hash-browns, biscuits and gravy, AND a side of apples. Thats a whole lot of food, but we couldn't of been happier with our selection! Everything was well-prepared, and extremely delicious. Food is cheap and yum. Good breakfast and lunch place. Service is hit or miss. Depends who you get. Restaurant almost reminds me of a cafeteria because it's so crowded on the weekends and the tables are fairly close together. It gets noisy. It's still a cool looking place though, with all the vintage southern stuff hung up on the walls and the massive fireplace in the front. I like their chicken and rice special on Saturday. I wasn't crazy about the turkey dinner special on Thursday though. Their pancakes are ALWAYS phenomenal. My mom is a huge fan of their blueberry pancakes with the real maple syrup (even though it's only 50% real if you read the small print on the bottle). The gift shop is a fun place to look around, if you're a woman. There is actually some nice clothing. The baby clothes are adorable. Lots of unusual candy that's not often sold in typical super markets. Good thing they have the store to browse in because on the weekends the wait is always at least 25 minutes. Cracker barrel goes out of its way to make sure you have a good time here and earns an additional star for such effort. The food borders on really good fare to "why did I eat that". And I mean that in a way where alot of its fried and double fried but it tastes a certain way you know you cant get back home. Chicken and dumplings is a staple. We usually get a plate to share, and some even get it as an entree in addition to the share plate. Sides are pretty good. Wait staff is always making sure you have everything you need during your meal. And when you are done you can wallow in your meal guilt at the country store. Cracker Barrel is the place to go for a hearty meal that won't break the bank. My personal favorites are the chicken and dumplings or the meatloaf (Judge me, idc). The average meal is only $9.99 and usually comes with 3 sides! I'm always amazed at how much food you are served for such a reasonable price. Every time I've been to this location, I've had a waiter/waitress that is friendly and maintains the "southern hospitality" vibes of Cracker Barrel. My favorite desert is the apple dumpling and my go to drink is the frozen apple cider (because I am but a child at heart). Also, I could get lost in the country store which is filled with beautiful home decor, delicious treats, clothing and more. Only negative - if you decide to go on a weekend (day or night) there is almost always guaranteed to be a wait. During the nice weather, you could spend the wait playing checkers or rocking in a rocking chair - and it's totally worth it! read more

Woke up this morning craving Cracker Barrel... To say the least I wish I had a craving for something else. I am NEVER one to write a bad review and or complain (I am in the service industry and totally understand when people have a bad experience but....) Went into Cracker Barrel at 8:00pm for a table for 4, after a 2 hour drive from Long Island. We were seated within 10 minutes in the back section of the restaurant with 4 other parties in the back room with us. We placed our order immediately when we sat down. For drinks we ordered 2 sweet teas and 2 of the watermelon lemonades. It took the server over 10 minutes to get out our drinks to us. We finished our drinks and maybe 15minutes later all of our food came out... We had empty glasses and sat there for another 5 minutes with our food and no more drinks and were not asked prior if we wanted refills. (Which took another 8minutes to come to the table after we were had half of our meals finished) We got our food and oh god it was bad. The chicken fried chicken was hard and almost inedible. The mashed potatoes were congealed to a point were you didn't even want to eat them. The Mac and cheese was bland and tasteless. But that's the least of it..... One person got the loaded sweet potato and it was as HARD AS A ROCK and undercooked. We told the server and she asked if she would like us to throw it into the microwave....... A few minutes later the manager came back and dropped off a new sweet potato and apologized to us saying "I'm so sorry, it's late and our kitchen is getting ready to close and those potatoes are big, I'm sorry." We kept our mouths shut but we're very displeased with this response. We get it, it was closing time but you still had other people waiting for their food. You're still in service so that's why you cannot provide good food? Because it was late? PLUS the new sweet potato we got was HARDER THAN THE FIRST ONE. A few minutes later of us sitting there and listening to every other table in the section complain the waitress came over and dropped off the bill, not asking us if we wanted dessert or anything (we did drive 2hours literally just to dine here and we're planning on racking up as high of a bill as we could) As displeased as we were we still tipped appropriately (as I believe everyone should). When at the checkout counter the very friendly girl asked us how everything was and we told her EVERYTHING we possibly could think of and that she would tell the GM and he would contact us... but didn't take down our information or anything. Ate at the Crack around noon today. Busy, a bit of a wait, but it wasn't that bad. Walked around the store. Played with this talking dog that farted. Fart jokes are always funny as long as they aren't real farts. Tried my best not to knock down a pyramid-esque of glass Christmas displays that I swear are positioned purposely so you do pay for all of them. Looked at candy and stuffed animals. Then they called our name. I ordered ham and mashed potatoes. The dude ordered breakfast, like always. Food was ok. Waitress was very friendly and service was fast. I finished my meal and drank my sweat tea, not in that exact order. The only downside was paying at the end. There was no clear line at the cash registers, but alas, the line went by fast so that wasn't even a true complaint. Walked over to my car and inspected it for door dings. Ding free. Right on! A good solid restaurant to go to... Especially with a family. They have a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options and they are available all day which is very nice! When we went this visit it was a Sunday around 11 so it was still early enough for me to get breakfast so we did. We got the French toast and a meal with eggs and I added cheese, chicken tenderloins with gravy, hashbrown casserole and grits. The French toast was a little to "eggy" for me. I do not think they dilute the egg mixture with any milk which would be nice but the menu does say it is dipped in egg so I should have realized. We actually asked for cinnamon (slightly random request I know) but it made the French toast taste so much better! My hashbrown casserole was very tasty! My grits were a little runny for my liking but still had a good flavor. The menu is nice because it does make it easy for a family to find things they like. We also got the French toast latte. It was yummy but I would get it again but without the topping which is good at first but when it get soggy you don't want that in your coffee. All in all we would go back! read more

My granddaughter waited for server to come back with ketchup for her French fries and he took so long . Ketchup should automatically be given with french fries. No refills on drinks . There were no napkins inside the utensil bag. We ordered fried chicken why on earth would he not think to give napkins?? I had to hunt him down for the napkins. He came over with the check never offering to go boxes for the leftovers or offered dessert. I ordered desserts to go just to get home and realize he forgot the apple pie. For years I have ordered the trout dinner, and every time I ordered it, I was allowed (on Fridays anyway) to order hush puppies as one of my three side items. I love eating trout, and just like the people who order catfish, shrimp, and other forms of seafood, I want hush puppies with my trout. Hush puppies are very, very important to me. I absolutely cannot imagine my trout without hush puppies; it would be like Thanksgiving turkey without the stuffing. It would be unthinkable. Fast forward to yesterday. I ordered my trout with the hush puppies, and the waitress informed me that I am no longer allowed to have my beloved hush puppies as a side item with my trout anymore. This made me very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very angry. So much so, that I angrily got up out of my chair and stormed out of the place. Of course I ordered absolutely nothing, even though they had gone through the process of seating me and assigning me a waitress. It ANGERS me greatly, to know that I made a wasted trip, dragging my carcass all the way to Cracker Barrel only to be told that they are not willing to give me what I want. I don't know who these people think they are, wasting my gasoline and wasting my time and wasting my energy like this. These people are so evil. SHAME on Cracker Barrel. Waited at the normal spot at CBs and literally no one was there. After 3 or 4 minutes of watching servers walking around and serving guests, I asked the cashier if I could be seated. She said "oh you want to eat?" (No shit!) So she radios for someone to help me. Alas, with the 4 guests in the restaurant they were all far too busy to have someone come seat me. Finally I had 2 servers walk right by me without acknowledging me. I turned to the cashier and said "I guess you're not serving anyone?!?" and promptly walked out. Possibly the worst Cracker Barrel experience I've ever had. Avoid this particular place like the plague.
