I am in town for the weekend and was looking for someplace to eat with my husband. We found this place online and it was definitely worth the visit. The queso birria tacos were double tortilla and had a slight crisp when you bit into the tortilla and super packed. They weren't huge but they were decent filling. They're agua de horchata was delicious I think one of my favorites so far. read more

Delicious! I had the chorizo burrito and it was amazing! My friend had huarache with Asada and that was some of the most flavorful steak I've had! After the meal we had the Tres Leches Cake Mocha that was so soft, moist, and sweet. We drove 45 minutes to eat here and will definitely be coming back! read more

Wonderful little hole in the wall Mexican cafe. Swung by for lunch while in town on the recommendation of a friend and I was not disappointed. Ordered the pork taco plate and it came with 4 wonderfully seasoned soft corn tortilla tacos. The way a taco should be served on a soft corn tortilla. $7 bucks for 4 great tacos is a great price. They don't serve ground beef in their tacos so I didn't like that. Ended up ordering the steak ones yuck. The rice & beans were bland & the refried beans were a little runny. Didn't like the mild sauce which was the yucky green kind. I usually like the red mild sauce but they don't carry that only the red hot sauce. Won't be back again. read more

Not too much to say because this place is the definition of "just okay." The place is small, the menu is even smaller. The unfortunate part was even though the menu is limited, they were out of a few things we wanted. Good salsa and reasonably helpful service are the only reason for the second star. As for the food overall, not one person in our family liked it well enough to finish it or take it to go. read more

Me & my wife really enjoyed this place. I very much appreciated the decor & close quarters. The food was the bomb! I have had tortas before, but never a breakfast torta. Fire! My limon water was great. Only reason i didnt give it five stars, is becuase im a potatoe-head, and they didnt serve any at the time. We will def go back. read more

I had saw someone post about this place online and I went today and it was absolutely amazing I definitely recommend!

Don't let it get around to much but if you ask nicely they'll bring you hot salsa they don't usually bring out. Not burn your mouth hot but make you sweat hot and it's fantastic. I'm not a fan of mexican food covered in cheese and you won't find that here unless you request it. Just wonderful simple tasty tacos on corn tortillas exactly as they are supposed to be. read more

Small little restaurant that only has 4 tables & a few counter seats. I went for the soups. Very good, especially the Pozole. Menudo was good as well, but not quite as good as Manarcas in East Moline. Be aware that they serve it third world country style, lots of bone chunks & shards at the bottom of the bowl. Nothing like breaking a tooth or getting a shard stuck in your throat. Soups only served Friday-Sunday. read more

Coya's Cafe is a little tiny Mexican cafe with all the authentic Mexican food you want. Plus they have other stuff like a hot Cheeto burrito etc. My favorite thing to get is the elota and carne assada tacos with a horchata. Everything you get is made fresh and is delicious. read more

Had lunch with family and really enjoyed it. Had a torta which was the special and was huge. Others had something I can't spell or pronounce with beef and the other pork. All very good and fresh. Food was quick and family that runs it were happy to explain menu. Had a lime water which was made fresh for us. Definitely needed it when I tried the hot salsa! read more

Went recently for the first time. Confusing when you walk in. You don't know what to do. I had to ask. You order at a window. no complimentary chips or salsa. The menu is incomplete. I had to ask if they made what I wanted. You have to figure out how to fill you drink yourself. You have to put salsa or sauces in tiny little cups at the window. Very disappointing and will never return. Too bad. I had high hopes for this place. Close to home and in the old Jalapeños restaurant. usually a great place but tried to order around 2pm and that must be their busy time because my food took over an hour and a half and was cold and they forgot multiple things!! which I understand when it is busy of course! when I called to try and get the missing items and see if they could fix anything and they completely told me no that it wasn't there fault and the girl I spoke too was beyond rude ! told me it was my fault for not reminding her ! I will NEVER be back because of the way their employees talk to customers... beyond rude and wasn't worth it at all. don't recommend eating here at all!! The service and food is terrible . read more

My daughter and I ate here for the first time today. It was wonderful! The young man who took our order was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant was full so we sat at the counter which was fun as we were directly across from the kitchen window and got to see different menu items as they were served. We had elotes in a cup and a carne asada guarache. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Even though it was almost noon, we had our food within five minutes of ordering. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back. read more
