I have been to this store 3 times in the 5 years I have lived here. I have never received anything but 5 star service from them. This time they actually saved me more money than I was asking for. I've had Cox for a year, I've been around and around with the about bill and it never gets any better. Every 15 days they threaten to disconnect saying my payment bounced even though it went through. They have tacked on so many UNNECESSARY charges and fee being the monthly fee that now for two months of just internet they want $299 dollars. Summer of 2019 when I signed up for the service it was 49.99 per month. Went out of town on Emergency and when I came back they had shut off my service and said to reconnect it would now be 89.99 per month. Now they want almost $300 dollars right now or they will disconnect and abruptly hung up on me. RUDE! I am a disabled veteran and cannot afford this nonsense. Cox is miss advertising. I wanted to sign up for $19.99 internet plan and when I went to the store they told me that the $19.99 does not apply to location. I showed them the advertisement and in the advertisement it does not show any estrus or FinePrint that says some locations are excluded. I then asked to speak to the manager and they give me his card because he does not work on Saturdays. I tried calling his mobile number and the mobile does not have voicemail and then I emailed him and explained the situation and asked him to call me. I drove 1 hour to get to the store and pick up my router. Due to traffic issues I was there at 5:01Pm. They locked the doors and would not answer my knocks even tho they were looking at me. All I needed to do was to show my ID and pick up my router and they would not let me in! Nobody even asked what I wanted! Service in America is not what it used to be. People used to care about the customers and their jobs, now all they want to do is lock up and go home. So I now have to drive 2 more hours on Tuesday to pick up my router and then self install it. Cox might be the most bullshit business. Had technician come to my house due to internet issue. Tech comes and says "it's a cox issue, call support and ask for free pod". I call and ask for free pod as instructed and they tell me "we can't". I argue and he folds and says "okay go to your nearest cox store and pick up free pod. I asked "do I need to tell give any info or will my account show a free pod?" And he says account will show. Drive 30 mins to Cox and rep says "you have to pay we don't give free pods" even after giving full spiel on issue. Dude could not have cared less. Why is it customers responsibility to show proof what other department committed to? Do you guys not have any audit trails that show what was blown up that customers ass? I love being a paying customer who has to PROVE what each of my previous conversations entailed. Now I need to wait a week to get a transcript and then, you guessed it, I have to drive it to the store and initiate the process again. Every other week the internet goes out at 12 AM. I hop on cox.com to find the same message - service interruption - outage in my area. Expected to come back online at 6 AM. Always starts at 12, always expected to finish at 6. This isn't an unexpected outage - this is undisclosed routine maintenance, and extremely long maintenance at that. $150/month read more

I called Cox to see what promotions they had, they told me they needed to turn services on before they could tell what promotions there are. How do I know what I services I would like if I don't know the price? They where all smiling and smoothing it on when they told me I can close my account whenever I want with paying no fees so I closed 3 apartments with them, now that I need to close 2 of them they're asking for $120 closing fee for EACH apartment!!! Heading to another carrier after 20 years of service and one week of being ignored. Upgraded, at Cox's urging, to contour and only one of three TVs work. I pay for 1Gig and get between 30 and 230 Mb! I called to complain and got the run around. The guy lied to me about the speed of the package they sold me. "of course you cane get 1Gig. Why else would we sell it." Exactly! They tried giving me every stupid excuse they could think of to NOT come test my house. I said, I'll pay for the tech to come out if they can get my house to 1G! The tech came out and found a filter that had been left on my house from who knows when (I have lived here 5 yrs and always paid for 100Mg+). It was for a cable TV service, which I don't even have! Then with a brand new modem/router we got just over 500Mg. Then the tech admitted that it was physically impossible to get 1G or anything close. He said someday when fiber optics came to the neighborhood, I could have the speed I was paying for! These are the interactions I absolutely dread. In fact I came here after a terrible visit to my cell phone store after being ignored for over 30 mins. ANYHOW, I cant say enough of how pleasant, helpful and NICE the young man who helped me was (wish I got his name). I was immediately greeted and he even apologized for my non-existent wait. In less than 10 mins he lowered my bill, gave me a new modem and explained the intricacies of basic wifi to a middle-aged woman that refuses to learn about those things. If I didnt have to put a star i would out none. Literally the WORST place I have ever had to deal with. They have a tower at the edge of our property and it has taken calling corporate to even get them to try and hook up internet. I have spent HOURS on the phone with them just trying to find out why we couldn't get internet at our house when everyone around us has it. The day we were supposed to finally get internet the person never showed up and they can't figure out even the simplest of tasks. After the hours I have spent on the phone we finally got them to get us a supervisor even though we have repeatedly asked for one and they can't get what they were supposed to get done done for us. If you are looking for any kind of services I would look elsewhere because this place is a joke. read more

Update at the bottom... So we got cox installed 32 days ago after 3 different visits from techs to install it. After a week a couple days the internet and security was hooked up, then the real problems began. We have had nothing but problems with the internet the internet is slow and constantly drops out, one minute it works fine the next we have no internet. We have had 4 techs out, nothing was found to fix the problem, the last tech informed us the router and modem were inadequate for our situation with having security and trying to browse and stream, which was all explained to Caleb the sales person who gave me the router and modem. The tech suggested us go to the retail store and talk to them about the problem. Upon arrival no manager was working and Caleb wasn't there either. We tried to explain the situation to the sales people who were there and after changing their stories and reasons several different times they could not help us. They first said it would cost us 30 dollars to upgrade then it went to 150 dollars. They then tried telling us they were helping us out when they weren't doing anything for us, they told us that Caleb was trying to help us out when he gave us the modem and router, which we agreed was nice but he should've not given us inadequate equipment to finalize his sale. When Caleb was giving his sales pitch to me I was on the fence so he threw in the equipment and I asked if it would work for what we did and he said yes. They continued to say the equipment was what we needed, essentially saying the technician who came out to our house not even an hour prior was lying about the fact we needed to replace it. After going back and fourth with them they continued to say they would not help us. We asked for the district managers phone number which they refused to give us. Fast forward to the following day. My wife attempted to call the store to speak with the store manager all day and could not get a hold of anyone, come to find out the sales people at the store gave us a card with some other stores number. When she finally got a hold of the store the store manager refused to even talk to her on the phone. Caleb talked to her and essentially called me a liar and said he tried to give me the upgraded router when I signed up for the service. After attempting to have Caleb correct the issue he also refused to do anything for us. The store manager still would not talk to my wife because they refused to do anything for us as well. Upon requesting the district managers phone number again Caleb refused to give out her number. Eventually a generic number to corporate cox was given to us, upon calling we talked to a customer service rep who again argued that we were in the wrong and they tried to do everything they could for us. Upon requesting the district managers number again we were told no and that a complaint would be filed on the Caleb but that this complaint would be sent right back to the store manager.... How does that make any sense? Your going to send a complaint to the person who refused to talk to us earlier??? Cox has refused to stand behind their sales persons poor decision to make a sale. We have received equipment and service that does not work as advertised and Cox refuses to help us resolve the situation. ***UPDATE*** Shortly after my review on Yelp my wife received a phone call, weather this was from my review or the manager simply received my wife's earlier voicemail I do not know however, after a conversation with the store manager we were provided with a new modem/gateway that was recommended by the service tech who came out. I'm glad that we finally got it handled disappointed it took so long but thank you Rich for finally stepping up and taking care of us. read more

Everything was fine until we get home and find out she deleted our cable service from our home knowing that we have this service thru our apartment complex, she even verified that info to us. 2 hrs on the phone with techs and still couldn't fix, they said she deleted our cable plan which AGAIN We Never Requested! Went to this store today to see if we could get a different internet package or reduce our cost and have never dealt with the worst customer service ever !!!! The guy that help us who's last name was Gardener said basically there was nothing he could do to help us and our cost was going up again . When I asked if we could get on a different plan he said nope can't help you with that either. My wife and I left the store very upset. We then called the customer service department and they were great and helped us keep our plan and reduce our price. I guess at the end of the day DO NOT go to the store they could care less . I called the store to talk to the manager but of course they did not answer, I left a message and have not received a call back. If there were a negative number rating for this establishment I would use it. Cox absurdly refuses to enter customer homes, so we brought our defective equipment to this store for a simple, pre arranged swap for new devices. I am nearly 67 years old. I cannot wear a mask. The first greeting from an employee was a very unfriendly query about my lack of a mask. I informed him that I had a medical condition preventing me from wearing one. Mind you....this is a simple exchange....I wouldn't even be there if it weren't for Cox's absurd policy of no home service. Very shortly, a large, intimidating man, Ray, tech # 10666, came out from the back and rudely escorted me out of the store. Done. I left the equipment, told Ray.....a terrible representative....to cancel all Cox services.....which we've had for two decades....he warned us to bring in our modem within 10 days.....no attempt on his part to make it right. We arrived at 6:59pm tonight to find door locked with customers still at counter and the staff (Chris and another male staff member) unwilling to accept three boxes we were returning. This is a simple transaction that takes them no more than 15 seconds to process each one (simple bar scan of each) but they refused to open door despite still waiting on customers in store.
