I do not recommend cox at all! We signed a contract may 2019 and had cable on two tv's. And internet. We weren't told we only had a certain amount of internet to use per month then anything over would be extra. If I would of known I wouldn't of agreed to that. Anyways we were told our bill would be a hundred twenty something... then with all the extras it was a lot more. They said we could add more internet & do unlimited for and extra $50 a month. We agreed because we have a large family and needed more internet even though they failed to mention we didn't have that in the first place. So then our bill should have been @ a hundred seventy nope it was @ $180 so we dropped a tv and now only have one tv with cable. Was told our bill would go down @ $30... no again they lied, it went down maybe $10. Then a couple months ago it went back up to almost 180, I called and they said taxes and fees went up. Never mind we're in a damn contract... now the last two months again went up, now $191 for one tv and internet. I can't wait till this may, we're switching providers! Do NOT get cox!! Also the internet is slow & sucks. Especially right now with the kids doing virtual learning we need good internet! Very disappointed in cox! read more

This review is not about the store but about the product and customer service over the phone. I'd pleased to say as of today I know longer have internet and cable with this company, and ditched Homelife a few years back. Had no issues with cable, other then it being expensive and the company not offering any promotions when it ran out. Was paying $180 for both internet and cable. The internet was horrible, network lost every 10 minutes. Called 800 number and said that everything was good on their end and offered no solutions, didn't mention providing a tech to come out, a new modem since mine was 4 years old. They have an updated modem which I brought up but the employee didn't want to talk about it. My modem would heat up very hot and feel that was the issue but they didn't care. Went with YoutubeTV and Centurylink and am very pleased, it's actually way better and way less money, so thanks. read more

Their regular price increases, coupled with my frustration while attempting to negotiate a reasonable bundled price, led me to finally jump ship. I have had Cox Cable for 8 Years and had next to no problems until recently when I called to try and lower my bill. doing research I found I could get cheaper TV going to them as a new customer and they treated me like a spoiled child for even asking what my options would be. I was on hold for over 35 min on one failed attempt to talk to customer serves when I gave up. DISH or Direct TV has better customer service and cheaper rates. only reason I gave them 2 stars is the product it self was good for me and I still have there high speed internet. If I could give no stars I would. My husband went into this store yesterday to check out pricing because we are unhappy with our current billing with Directv. He was asked his address and email and they gave him a quote for the services he was requesting. He left and thank the guy and told him he would be in touch if we decided to switch to Cox. By the time he got home, he had an email confirming his installation for his new Cox service. Do I need say again....he did not agree to get Cox, only asked for a quote. He called the Cox office to cancel. He sat on the phone for 27 minutes before a human answered. After explaining he never wanted the service, they had the audacity to try and talk him into keeping the appointment and using Cox! He told them absolutely not! What a joke. read more

This is not about the store it is about Cox via telephone. There was no account for Cox Corporate. We have been trying to get an I Pad to work with the Cox email. To say this is the worst possible service wold be an understatement but judging from the rfeveiews Cox does not care anyway. First - we have been on hoild for ovefr 30 minutes now. Is that music as annoying to everybody else as it is to me? Next - we have called several tiems now to adress the I Pad issue. So far Apple, our IT peple and Best Buy have advosed that we drop Cox for email because it is notoriously bad.. The guy said two words to me, clicked a couple buttons, and handed me a slip without making eye contact. They didn't bother to ask why or fight for me as a customer. Cox internet service is good but their customer service is pathetic. They let customer to wait about 20 to 30 min, then they don't listen to customer complains. Cox know that they are monopoly in providing cable based internet service. I am sure they will keep this attitude because customer don't have any other option for cable based Internet. DSL or century link Internet is not as good as cox Internet. Cox is also ripping off customers by increasing their prices without even informing or giving notices to customers. They have done it many times with me & they always say that they don't care about giving notices about any changes they make to customers' accounts. read more

I came in here after a busy work day to get see about getting a new remote for my Digital Receiver. The battery in the remote I had exploded and there was battery acid everywhere. I came into the store with the old remote so that I knew exactly what it looked like to match up a new one. I fully expected to have to pay for a new one, but they gave it to me for free! Not sure if it typically comes for free, but regardless, their customer service is on point for just that small gesture alone! I was in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes. Went to the store and ordered new Contour receivers. The salesperson took the order and set Monday from 1-to-3 pm for the install. You guessed it, no installer showed. Turns out the salesperson didn't order the install. I was told by phone tech support to call the store to reschedule the install. Problem is, they don't answer the phone at the store. You leave a message and they call you back. Finally, I get a callback and I get to take another half day off work. Lousy service. I had better service with Direct TV. read more

Go to a different location !! These people are incompetent and do not own up to their mistakes . They gave me a defective router and when I came back to exchange it , they were in in a rush to close the store and go home . The associates claimed that their systems were closed and they were unable to exchange the router for a working one, They sent me to another store 40 minutes away from my house instead of fixing their mistake. They charged my account for the same transaction twice, according to them, I purchased and rented the same router. Now I have to fix up their mess. read more

For the last 2 months since we moved into our new home and transferred our Cox service, we have had nothing but problems. Countless hours on the phone with them, asking to fix simple problems and they've done nothing but transfer us to different sales people who have done nothing to fix the issues. Our first year our bill was $130, the second year it went up to $186, then $200. Fine (not fine, but we didn't fight it). Most currently, Alex went into the store to return our old boxes and get our new one. Dora at the Chandler store, sold him (once again a sale) on a "new bundle" that would save us some money. We currently had cable, internet, and phone. We didn't need a phone obviously, but that was the bundle. Now, she says we can take the phone off and add Home Life with this "new deal". She said our bill after tax would be $186.xx. Great. This was mid-May when installed. Our bill now says $226 so we called to see what they could tell us about it because it didn't look right. They're telling us that our new bill with Home Life on it is actually going to be $360+!!!!! Excuse me, what? I could not have heard that right. They go on to explain that they don't offer that package in our area and the claim was denied! Wait a minute. We let you in our home and signed a contract for this new service and now our bill is double what we were told? They so very "kindly" kept repeating that with our service they can give us a promotion for our bill to be $275/mo. That's right, they're doing a favor! I'm red in the face right now. OH, and if we cancel our service we have to pay $724. What can we do?? Does anyone have insight? I know there are a lot of people who have had numerous problems with Cox. *(Especially since I have shared this) Also, my friend is paying for the SAME package we're supposed to be on for $140!!!! read more

It's too expensive and I discovered that I don't need it. I have my antenna and stream everything I want to watch. Amazon Prime and Hulu Plus is all I need. read more

I had my mother with leukemia, in the car with me, and we were leaving the hospital around the corner. She has been struggling with using her regular remote to watch TV, and I wanted the oversized one for her. As her only caretaker, I dont get out much, so I had to take advantage of being close to the store to pick one up. I was rather unhappy that they didnt stock one at this particular store, as I had called ahead, but they dont answer the phones much, so I couldnt find out. But after I left the store in a pissy mood about it, they knew I was driving to the san tan store to hope they had one, they called ahead to have them set one aside for me. I was in and out in under 1 minute. The gave it to me for free, and I was headed home with my mom and much relieved that she would be able to struggle less with at least that one aspect of life now. I just moved out here from CA to care for her in her struggle with cancer, and I can guarantee that no one in CA would have called ahead like that. The store personnel at the Chandler Cox Solutions turned a bad situation around for me that day, and for that, I'm grateful and appreciative. Hopefully they read this and know how their actions helped that day. read more

Poor service and poor repair make Cox Internet/Cable a poor choice. Continually slow speeds that drop to no speen around 3pm when the kiddies get out of school. Very uncaring company, they just want your money and do not give even adequate service. They make mistake after mistake that you pay for at least in the hours it takes to get them corrected and they could care less. This store is horrible. I have had a long history of Cox not processing payments correctly. They repeated took money out of my account, unauthorized, when nothing was due, and after they looked at it and said they didn't know why it was happening and it would not happen again they took it out again. I was forced to do a stop payment to prevent them from continuing to do this. Mailing checks didn't work, they "lost" a check for 2-3 weeks then blamed it on the post office (I called BS as it mail only takes 1 day to get across town). So I am forced to go to the store to pay a bill. Repeatedly I tell them they must to a physical check, not an EFT. They protest, make a big fuss, but then do what I say and it works. Well last time, the rep decided he didn't want to bother. He told me they changed their processes and I had to use the kiosk. He gave me a big song and dance and assured me repeatedly the kiosk would not do an EFT. He went to ask the manager to talk to me then came back and said the manager was not there (after I saw them talking to each other). Then as he was putting the info into the kiosk he let slip he was just trying to get customers used to using the kiosk (e.g. he could have processed the check despite him saying repeatedly he could not). Well guess what, the kiosk did an EFT. Had to spend another couple of hours trying to get everything straightened out and they really didn't care about me, they just wanted me to give them the money (e.g. EFT over the phone). I had to ask several times to get them to undo the fees they had tacked onto the account for a returned check. Time to use other services, I long ago stopped using Cable (way to high for what you get) and do any tv watching on the internet. Time to get internet services elsewhere. read more

Have had the worst experience with cox since we signed up with them. False promises made as usual and increase in bill. When trying to talk to someone on the phone In customer service we were told that if we removed the cable package our bill would remain the same price meaning we would be paying 103/ month for internet, internet that is about 1/4 the speed it's supposed to be. When I told them I'd like to cancel my entire service with and I'd go with another company the man on the phone said well if that what you need to do then ok. Spoke to a second customer service rep and it took 40 minutes to cancel my service with her and she ended by saying good luck with the other company they are liars and you're price is just gonna go up with them. I take my equipment back to the chandler location and am not greeted when walking in and the woman who helped me said maybe a total of 5 words to me the entire time. Cox is getting out of hand with their fees. Went into this store to pick up high definition box. Clerk was quick to add the box onto my account, along with the fee, but too dumb to add the box serial number onto my account for it to be activated. After 45 minutes with the tech dept, finally got it figured out that the serial number was never added to my account, just the charging of the monthly fee. Sent in a complaint to the store for bad customer service, am sure I won't ever hear a reply. Ready to sign up for DISH! read more

My review is based on the customer service I received at this location and not the quality of the products. I came in to return my DVR box and when I got there (about 5min before opening) there was already a line outside the door of about 6 people which made me worry. I was surprised that I was able to check-in, return my DVR and get a receipt in less than 10min. Both the check-in guy and the guy helping get my receipt were nice and professional. read more
