Bought an American straw at NRS in Wickenburg, but their shaper was off that day. I took it to James at Cow Town and he did a GREAT job! Very pleased! Nice people and great service. BTW, if you haven't been to Cow Town- the store is HUGE. Lots and lots of inventory. Good cowboy brands and good prices. read more

Overall staff was nice. This place seems very clean and smells like leather. I used to work for a retail store and I got some anxiety looking at the hat section because there was so many racks that were empty and other racks that were over flowing. Overall it's on the expensive side and it makes sense because they are real cowboy leather items. read more

I originally went to their store in Vegas, and loved it. Great service from Mark and Jesse there. Bought a Stetson, and two pairs of boots. They mentioned that their Phoenix store was even bigger. It is! Great family owned business. Pretty much everyone in there is related. Very cool people. One young lady looked through a stack of jackets looking for my size. Bought another hat which a gentleman there did a great job shaping it while I waited. If you're like me with a 7 7/8 gigantic head and size 14+ boots, you'll love this place even more! Out of control customer service just truly pathetic. Worst experience I've had in decades. I'm appalled that this place is even in business! Not only did they not help and weren't helpful at all, but had bad attitudes and clearly expressed it. The boot selection is better than Boot Barn and they have so many sizes. Randy Marsh The store itself is beautiful on the inside but unfortunately the management there supports open-air drug markets I love the store but I do not like how they are handling the drug use on their property there is literally a truck broken down in the middle of their driveway and people have tents and chair setup selling and using drugs pretty sure even prostitution is being ran out of that truck so if you have kids you might not want to bring them to cowtown Boots due to the extreme drug use around that they are allowing to go on their property I spoke with the managers about the subject 5 days ago they told me it would be handled in a couple of days which I still feel is ridiculous they should get a tow truck and have that truck towed along with all the drug users that live in the said truck so again great store great products beautiful inside but unfortunately the safety around the business is just not there so if you love your loved ones you might not want to take them along to this store read more

Cowtown Boots - This is proof that the truck exists in the middle of their drive - Shoe Stores Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I was in the store again today for yet another birthday. This was my third visit to the store. They definitely have my business over Boot Barn. The family decided to take me there rather than just asked me what I want or get some random gifts certificate so they dragged me into the store, shaky bones and all I'm an old cowboy. I love the store because they have all the tried and true brands that I grew up with, know, and trust. Real western brands that the working cowboy spent his life, blood sweat and tears in to make an honest living. Today I met cowboy James, who is about to compete in his first rodeo and ride his first bull. You know I'm rooting for him and I'd be in his cheering section if I could get my broken disabled body up in the grandstand Was there cowboy James made every effort to help me find something I needed and wanted listen to my sad sob story and was patient attentive, and I walked out of the store with two things that I needed and wanted. I just wanted to sing praises because I felt like I had special treatment and was in a place. I felt comfortable. The prices were more than competitive. The products were things that I needed and had hoped for in a western wax shop I live in Central Phoenix now where they used to be five Western Wear shops around my house, but those are closed down and having to travel way out here is a hardship for my family to get here in my condition but we made it here and James help me find things I really need so we will be returning. They have our future business, I wish I was younger and more capable. I would apply for a job there since they're hiring now and I would ask to be the mad hatter hat, shaper, and reconditioner. I give them five out of five stars most definitely. read more

Boots here are low quality. Same as the staff. Posters might need to update. They are early 90's. Pant selection is a mess. You can fill 3 staplers with staples off the dressing room floors. Save yourself some time and money and steer clear of this place. Complete waste of time. read more

Well to start off the assistant manager with the long black hair has a real attitude he talked to me like I was a second class citizen do not know why I went to this store when I usually shop at Boot Barn never again the policies are no good and they are not very friendly the boots I got were two different sizes one was way bigger than the other could not tell that when I first bought them but a week later it came clear and they would not return them because of very minimal wear on the soul not my fault the boots were not made correctly read more

the manager April was amazing helping me find a couple good pairs of boots. She was very knowledgeable and helpful.

People are great clothes are great very spacious wide variety good job, cowtown boots

I went to go get a pair of boots and a worker named April was extremely rude. She was yelling at other employees causing a scene and they all seemed very uncomfortable with her. She told me I had fat feet and they were to wide to fit in any of the boots she was also was using very derogatory and explicit language she was being extremely racist to other customers in the store. When I had walked over to the counter I saw her with some sort of substance she got very nervous and antsy and seemed very off. This kind of behavior is disgusting and should not be tolerated nor allowed I expect her to be held responsible for her disgusting actions, this same situation has happened to one of my friends where when she went in and April was yelling at multiple of her coworkers and overall causing a scene. read more

So I've never been in this store and now I never will. I called to find out what time they closed today. There was no answering machine, there was nothing explaining there hours, instead rude woman picked up the phone and yelled at me. Complaining that I had waited for too long on the phone, and that I had let it ring "25 times" and continued to yell at me about them being closed. Here's a tip if you're closed don't answer the phone. Do not answer the phone and scream at potential customers. I guess we will find my husbands Timberlands elsewhere. So we came in looking for shirts for my better half. I saw about a million pairs of women's boots and headed over to look. I have a terrible time with boots because I'd blown an ankle years ago and my feet still aren't the same size. A very nice lady named Sydney took up the challenge. She started pulling different sizes and makers and styles. These boots will be work boots, not fancy goin' out boots. Even at that, I must have tried on 20 pair. She kept her sense of humor and kept finding boots for me when I was ready to weep. And yes, she found the perfect pair. Hooray for sales folk who know their stock! So yes, go find Sydney when you are boot shopping. She is awesome. Oh, yes. There are tons of not boots there, too. read more

I have been going to Cowtown for a few years now. My wife and I always stop by there when we travel to San Antonio from California, generally once a year. Our second day of travel takes us from Yuma, AZ to El Paso so we end up getting to there in the late afternoon. When we dropped by this last time on Mothers Day, the doors were already locked. I spoke with the manager and after I explained how far we had driven, he agreed to let us in. We already knew what wanted, so we only took up a few minutes of their time. Reading other people's negative posts, one must realize that the Cowtown brand boots are hand-made and may take several tries of different size and width boots to find the right fit and do take notice that this is an outlet store and that the boots may have blems, which is what "outlet" stores sell, however they are still new boots. I have never paid more than $200.00 there for a pair of boots and they are just as comfortable as my $500.00 pair from another "outlet" competitor. They do carry other brands, of which many are imported from China. However, all one needs to do is look inside the boot if they really want to financially support the Communist country. read more

Thanks for such a great store!! Fantastic crew and the selection is amazing!! We love coming here!! Clean, honest and super friendly!!

We went looking for a pair of men's work boots. Inventory was not good. We walked in circles looking for timberland boots, not one employee asked if we needed help. When we finally found the small display of Tim's, we had to ask for help. No one came. The employee who was supposed to come help was standing outside hiding. We overheard him telling a co worker. There restroom is filthy. The sinks looked like they haven't seen cleaner in months and the was a restroom door and handle were discussing. This is the second time we have had terrible customer service. We will not return. read more

was just at cowtown boots and talk about a do it yourself place. Had six teenagers up by the front counters all looking at their cell phones. One about started crying when I asked him for help with a hat. Found one myself and a pair of boots but only bought the boots because of the poor service! Had to ask for the box the boots came in and also a bag. There is a sign in the back saying don't put boots back because we want to make sure the get put in the proper place. There had to be three hundred boots on the floor waiting to be put away. At least the front counters aren't going to get stolen with six teenagers leaning on them! won't be back. BYW These were about the tenth pair of boots I had bought from them no more! read more

A friend recommended this store as the best place to buy riding boots; I was beginning to horseback ride on a regular basis. I hoped to get smooth work boots that would be multipurpose. The staff helped me fit my boots and said that they would stretch, so the snug fit was appropriate. Unfortunately not. My big toes were bruised from the boots and my friend suggested I take them back; she had done so before and said they treated her well. When I arrived at the store, I explained what had happened. The young, sullen girl at the cash register informed me that there were no returns, especially after being worn. I showed her the receipt and the clean, unscuffed boot. I was not happy that I had spent close to $100 for a boot that didn't fit due to their staff's advice. I asked for the manager. He came over to me and was extremely disagreeable from the start. He towered over me and spoke in an extremely patronizing fashion. His explanations were inconsistent; he said that his staff would have felt the toe and not allowed me to buy a boot too small. He insisted that he had trained his staff himself and everyone was experts with this. I went with a staff member to look at larger boots and he was completely hands off. Stood at least 10 feet away and asked me how they felt. He also had me feel the placement of the toe and would not do so himself when I asked. I then went to speak to the manager and point this out. The manager used his height and his voice raised to an angry tone as he denied the inconsistencies. I became upset and asked him why he was treating a customer badly and he replied "If you think I'm a prick now, you haven't seen anything yet." I took my small boots back with me and did not buy the other boots. I did return another day with my friend who frequents Cowtown Boots. We were met with frosty silence by all of the staff and they would not call the manager for us. I will NEVER go there again and am shocked and disappointed at how rude and unprofessional all of the staff was, especially the manager. read more

Cowtown Boots has the biggest and best selection of cowboy/girl/children boots I've seen yet. Came here on the recommendation of a lovely saleslady in Cave Creek (I balked at the $400 boots her store was selling) and am so glad! There are soooo many different kinds of boots in terms of brand, styles (pointy toe, round toe, square toe, snipped toe), shaft heights (short to tall), colors (pink to purple to blue to normal shades of brown and black), and prices (saw some pairs for as low as $80). The men's section is giant however the ladies' section is definitely better than what I've seen at stores in Cave Creek or Saba's. The sales people were nice and left me alone when I needed (a lot of) time to make a decision but also were able to chime in with information on different brands & fit. The store also had a pretty large selection of straw cowboy hats & men's belts. If you are looking for a pair of cowboy boots, this is definitely the store for you! I love the pair I got from here. read more

Cowtown Boots - Manufactures defect and the owner of the store is unaware of the manufactures procedures in which to resolve the issue:( Bad - Shoe Stores Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

So my red cowboy boots were shot to hell. I needed a new pair desperately because what's a girl to do without her red boots? The "Footloose' fan in me was stressed! But, real boots are pricey. Just try shopping for boots in Old Town (where I live).. oh HELL no. I had to go up to the west valley for a meeting at ASU West. I NEVER venture out to that side of town. Ever. In fact, I was annoyed to have to do so. However as I pulled in to get gas, I noticed this boot outlet. The Shopping Gods were looking down on me because I entered a fantastic find for boots. There were boots everywhere. These boots were MUCH cheaper than anywhere else. Now, some were marked as defects, but this was done very clearly. But the non messed up boots were also a steal! I ended up getting two pairs for less than one pair normally would cost. See how I rationalize? The guy in the boot department was so helpful. I have had many boots in my day so I know all about how you have to get them a bit tight because they stretch, and that the heel will slip at first, etc. But there were some other women shopping who were clueless and the VERY patient sales guy (I think his name was Tony) was really trying to explain everything to them. He was helpful, hysterical and really engaging. They also had clothing for kids, women, men, and so forth. I was only interested in the boots however. Great find! read more
