After struggling to adapt to the foot orthotics that were prescribed to me by my podiatrist, I came here hoping these people could help me. Not only did they help me, but they actually listened to my specific needs and accommodated accordingly. I have a massive sneaker collection and needed an orthotic that would not only accommodate virtually all of my shoes, but would also be able to handle being swapped out on a daily basis. A 3D scan of my foot and some specifications helped get things just where I needed. It's been two years of daily wear, including long distance running, and I've yet to need a replacement. It's been over 5 years since I visited Foot Solutions on Bell road. Mat was still there and though I was helped by another, the same great service I got so many years ago was still the order of the day. I wore the shoes I bought 5 years ago almost every day and though they were a bit raged, they still were doing the job. That, in itself is remarkable and I owe that to this store and the knowledgeable staff. I wanted the same brand knowing how well they have stood up. But, I was informed the brand had changed and was not up to their standard. I was told what changed and was recommended another brand - and shown how this new brand would again stand the test of time. In my original post I talked about the pain I was having - and it still has not returned. One more thing - The cost is a bit more than others, but I have come to understand that given the time I have been able to use these shoes, it has actually saved me money. I used the original inserts I bought here for almost 20 years with amazing results. I use them in my boots, tennis shoes, and golf shoes. About three years ago I noticed they weren't quite the same so I went into a store in Texas to check the warranty replacement and I walked out with a new pair for about $25! I give them a 5 star review because they were professional, knowledgeable and accurate. I was having heel pain problems. They didn't try to sell me new shoes. They sold me inserts and an ankle brace. My heel pain was gone. My husband also went with him and they sold him a pair of shoes. His old shoes were not in good shape. We both were very happy with the service communication and results. Now their website is not good except to find locations but it isn't kept current since I originally made an appointment for Labor Day since the website said they were open but they were not. We came in here last year (I never did a review) and Mathew was amazing with my 93 yo grandmother who suffers from many issues that ultimately come back to causing issues for her feet and walking. Matthew spent as long as it took about 2 hours with us trying on different sizes and customizing some things for a better fit for my Grandma. The shoes were the most expensive pair I've ever paid for but totally worth it because my grandma loves them still and prefers them over any other shoe. We never got to thank Matthew so thank you and a year after she's more mobile and still loves the shoes !! I also noticed some new confidence in her after getting the shoes. Ownership should sincerely take notice of Matthew - he's the type of associate you want repressing your name, and probably a ideal mentor/influencer/trainer to the rest of your employees. What a difference a proper fitting makes! My husband has difficulty finding comfortable shoes that fit and I am the one who has to listen to his complaining. Foot Solutions appears to specialize in orthotics and foot problems, but we were in the area and decided to see what they were all about. I'm glad we checked this place out. George was friendly, extremely helpful and not pushy. He actually measured hubby's feet and showed him what kind of athletic shoes would work best for him (not even the highest priced ones!). Unfortunately, the color he wanted wasn't in stock, so we had to wait a few days. The store also had a great selection of European sandals for women which I fell in love with--stylish, soft leather, comfortable for walking and superior quality. While a higher price than the discount stores, I could instantly feel the difference when I tried them on. Sadly, only one pair of shoes (hubby's) was in the budget that week. Even knowing that I would not purchase shoes that day, George insisted on measuring my feet. It turns out I have been buying wider shoes instead of a half size longer and, my left foot was almost a size smaller than the other. I can't believe how many years I have been wearing the wrong size! I had the opportunity to observe staff/customer interactions while hubby was making up his mind. People who came in with prescriptions were treated pleasantly with special, individualized attention. They were given a lot of explanations and the staff was very patient. They warned them that their feet would feel different while they got used to the inserts. It appeared that they really took the time to give their customers what they needed and insisted they come back if there were any issues. Unfortunately, many of us have gotten used to less expensive discount shoes. Sadly, plantar fasciitis really opened my eyes to the difference a higher quality (and yes, more expensive) shoe makes. I came in due to some pain I was experiencing in my foot making it painful to walk and do day to day activities. I was assisted by Matt who had excellent customer service and helped me walk away with sole inserts at a reasonable price compared to other relative competitors. When I went home they didn't quite fit in all my shoes but I went back and he helped me and resized them for me so they fit better. I'm saddened that all the low star reviews I have read in regards to Foot Solutions at any location is mainly due to people who do not want to spend over $100 and/or wait to receive their order. A little bit of history on myself I am 31, overweight, and have a combination of GOUT (since I was 18), Rheumatoid and Osteo Arthritis, history of torn ligaments in both knees, and most recently extreme heel pain from having PLANTAR FASCIITIS (yes all confirmed by many doctors, labs, x rays, and MRI's for anyone questioning my health problems). Asides from my health issues I work as a Commercial Truck Driver delivering grocery items to a big grocery chain all over the Phoenix area unloading a 53' trailer by hand. I am actively loading and unloading 6 hours a day (the other 5-6 hours is driving) needless to say it is an extremely labor intensive job. I made my first visit to this location around the end of June at a time when my Plantar Fasciitis was at its worst (the pain in my heel was terrible, I could not walk on it and had tried many healing techniques from youtube, and later found shoes for people with these problems which is what lead me here). The staff greeted me and my wife as we entered. I was then taken care of by Matt Key who after hearing my concerns sat me down and proceeded to thoroughly check my feet, and then my gait. After his initial recommendation I agreed to purchase a pair of shoes which retailed for $145. I was more concerned with quality and alleviating pain then cost. Matt even ordered me a bigger size. It took about a week to get the order. I returned and tried on the shoes which not only fit perfect, felt extremely comfortable. I gave them a good break-in period before really seeing what they would do and to my amazement (until now a few months later) have not had any heel pain what-soever! I was even able to bring the shoes in a month after purchase so they could make sure the wear down was proper and give it any needed adjustments. Over all they truly have genuine concern for people with all types of foot problems, they do attend school to learn about the feet and provide the best possible solutions. While I have heard some stores have not given good service, this location and all it's staff have given me nothing but care, attention, and OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was looking for an excellent shoe for daily walks. I had fallen and also I was going through physical therapy for the injury. I wanted an orthopedic tennis shoe so that I could gain more stability during my walks and also to gain a quicker gait. For years I had been getting support shoes and custom orthotics in Prescott, AZ. When the local store closed, I was referred to Foot Solutions in Phoenix on Bell Road. What a pleasant surprise. From my first telephone call and then visit to the store, I was impressed with the knowledge and resources they offer. I've only interacted with Matt Key with whom I am very impressed. He and all the staff are certified, professional and very friendly and certainly give great customer service. My initial issues had to do with recovering and enhancing a pair of existing custom orthotics which Matt did beyond my expectations. I also had inserts for Finn Sandals recovered by him with a better outcome and price than buying new inserts (WOW!). Wish I would have come here sooner!!! All healthcare workers have been pushed to the limits these past few months and I've been in so much pain everyday after work. I decided to finally do something about my foot pain & I came across Foot Solutions during my google search. I made an appointment for the very next day. Kim was so knowledgeable, patient, and made me feel at ease. I was so impressed that our appointment started the minute I walked through the door! She immediately noticed my walk & had insight to some of my problems. She then asked me questions to get a better feel of my situation. Next, she took a digital map of my feet to select the proper orthotic insert. She brought out an assortment of shoes for work & home & she patiently had me try them on & talked me through how I felt in each shoe. I bought a pair of Brooks shoes for work & the difference they have made is incredible! My feet feel absolutely fine when I get home from work now! I also bought a pair of sandals for home after not realizing how much harm we can actually do to ourselves by walking around the house barefoot or in flat sandals or flip flops. I was prepared to accept the fact that I would be wearing "old lady shoes" but that didn't turn out to be the case. Showed up about 4:30pm on Saturday after getting off work...they close at 5pm. Was made very clear that I was going to put $145 towards a pair of boots they didn't even have in stock (and wait 7-10 days for delivery...are they coming from Russia?) or they just were not going to deal with me. Then I get the explanation of custom orthos and how it can take weeks to get accustomed to them...sorry, but the idea that pain equals solution and healing is archaic and lame. I'll spend my money somewhere that my comfort comes before their profit...you made it all about your profit, that came across very clear...now you have hundreds less. read more

Matt, Kim, George and the owner, Gerry, are all friendly and professional. I purchased a pair of hiking shoes there around Sept of 2015. I hike about an hour a day, 5-6 days a week on a rocky, dirt trail in northwest Phoenix. It's approximately 2.5 - 3.0 miles round trip. That is the only time I wear my hiking shoes. Unfortunately they began to come apart near the toe guard and the tread was showing significant wear after only two months. I took them back because I do expect a pair of $100+ shoes to last more than two months. They contacted the manufacturer and replaced them with another pair without any hassle to me at all. I wore them for about two months again before they came apart in the same way as before. I took those back as well. They were surprised to see that it was not limited to one pair of defective shoes because these are supposed to be high quality hiking shoes. Maybe most people don't really use them to hike on the kind of outdoor trails found in Phoenix? In any case, Kim worked with me to order another pair of hikers. Those did not fit as well as the first kind so I returned those before wearing them out of the house. Gerry, the owner, then stepped in and ordered a special pair out a catalog for me and those are working well, so far anyway ;-) I've had them a few weeks now. My point to the story is, every time I went in to the store, I was greeted nicely and treated fairly. I did not have to demand good customer service; it was given freely and with a smile every time, by every employee there. That kind of customer service is extremely hard to find and I want to publicly commend them for doing a great job! They worked hard to find a solution that works for me and because of that, I will go back when I need shoes in the future. Matt, Kim, George and Gerry could give lessons to most retailers on how to provide good customer service. After a very unsatisfactory experience at Arizona Walk Store in Mesa, we drove from Gilbert all the way to the Bell Rd. store. It was so worth the trip. We have never received better customer care than at Foot Solutions. Kim was great. She had lots of ideas to help my husband's neuropathy, but we never felt pressured to buy anything (although we did because my husband could already tell a difference). I went to look at some shoes for my problem feet and Matt recommended his orthotics. I had no luck finding comfortable custom orthotics so I told him I didn't think so and he assured me they had a satisfaction guarantee and he would adjust them so they would work for me. Several weeks later and 4 adjustments to the orthotics and they still were neither comfortable or able to keep my foot from sliding to the front of shoes (my toes were hitting the end) and he told me these orthotics would keep my foot in the proper position and i was driving 60 miles round trip each time for minor adjustments that did nothing , It turns out the satisfaction guarantee is for store credit or a 50% refund. Also if you buy shoes there there is 7 day return policy and credit only..............be sure to read any contract you sign with them. For the $325 plus tax orthotics it's 2 pages and the first page is the break in period and coming back for adjustment and the second page mentions the refund policy which Matt did not explain (although he insists he did) but he only explained the break in period. read more
