My friends and I ate here last night. Just on the island for a weekend getaway. This place was absolutely terrible!!!! The service from the time we got there was terrible super rushed we got our appetizers before someone even took our drink order. You couldn't even put your fork down before someone was cleaning your plates up. Drinks took forever to get since indoor bar only had one person making drinks. Then we got our main dish which was the scallops. Terrible!!!! They weren't even cooked all the way and the other two people in our party that got them also got sick that evening after we left. Literally felt like we were at an Applebee's that just rushes you through your dinner doesn't care about the experience at all. I was upset because I had looked things up before coming for the weekend and the vibe and actual place looked so cool to grab dinner at for the night. I regret ever going to this place. Not only was the service terrible so was the food which also then made us all sick. Don't waste your time or money here!!!!!!!!!!! read more

We were there last night for a private Christmas Party. The Staff was EXCELLANT, very attentive, polite and fun. Even though it was busy, they were on top of all food & drink orders. This was my second trip to Cowfish and it was just as good as I remembered. Great location with a nice view, and the food is delicious. We had scallops and steak as our entrees, and were very satisfied. What really made the experience even better was the service. The staff was very polite and accommodating, which added to an already great dinner. I will defiantly be coming back in the future... Also, do yourselves a favor and get the cookie skillet for dessert. read more

We were very excited when we heard that the owner of Rumba was opening a new restaurant. We love Rumba. The renovations done to the Old Indian Cove restaurant are beautiful ( though the smoke from the grill/kitchen that comes up on the North Deck was a bit excessive. The drinks that we tried were pretty good - I liked the Homewrecker & the beer selection is above average. As for our meal.. We ordered a veggie roll & clam chowder for appetizers ( nothing else looked really interesting). The clam chowder was very good -'The roll was too sweet - kind of one note- maybe it needs a little acid - some tweaking for sure. For my dinner I ordered the Poke & The Maui Wowi Roll my husband ordered the Cumin Mahi & daughter ordered kids ribs. The Poke iwas not the best I've ever eaten but was good - not enough fried wonton crisps. The Maui Wowi roll was amazing - I would go back just for that. The Cumin Mahi was over salted & paired with the Spanish rice - too heavy. A big surprise considering that the Mahi @ Rumba is one of our favorites. The kids ribs were tender but the flavor was not as original as the ones at Rumba. The Banana Creme Pie was excellent . All in all Cowfish needs more menu inspiration. While it doesn't have to be the same as Rumba the choices should be more interesting & more spot on with seasoning. Beautiful views & ambience.Average food. read more

2 hour wait on a Saturday night. The bar, drinks and staff make the wait a good time. Good drinks, good food, great staff, and awesome restaurant setup on the water. read more

Started upstairs at the bar for happy hour... half price drinks & apps. Bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. Hummus with pita bread was surprisingly good. Nice views with comfy seating. Went down to the dining room for dinner. Tuna tartar app with chips was average. Entree special of seared tuna was just okay for $30. Burger & fries were very good $15. Staff is nice & attentive. Room gets loud when it fills up. Nice spot. read more

Dinner was amazing! The scallops were so tender and flavorful. The prime rib was perfectly cooked and tender. The Cajun swordfish was amazing! All of the appetizers were delicious. From the salad to the deviled eggs, lobster stuffed mushrooms and the corn bread you don't want to miss! And don't forget dessert! The banana cream pie was like nothing I have ever had! The waitstaff very friendly and knowledgeable. I think this is our new favorite place! read more

Love this place, good food and a great scene and wonderful view. My kids love going and playing in the fort out front, i love going by boat

I came here as part of a large group for dinner during a bachelorette weekend. The location is beautiful, right on the waterfront. We ordered a few appetizers to share, but the portions were smaller than anticipated and we had to reorder a few of the preferred ones so that other people could try them. They were delicious, but it would have been helpful if the waitress alerted us to the small portions, so that we could have ordered accordingly and not had to wait for another round of them. Definitely try the buffalo/bleu cheese shrimp and the lobster stuffed mushrooms - Delicious! For dinner, I had the filet and baked potato. The steak was cooked just how I like and was very nice quality. No gristle and trimmed well. Everyone complimented their entrees and seemed please. My friend even finished her plate, which she never does. The service started off a bit sluggish but as the night wore on, it improved. I would come here again if I were in the area. read more

Absolute best cornbread EVER. served in a skillet with a chunk of butter! Also the deviled eggs are killer served with bacon. And the oysters to die for. Plus the views are great and you can play corn hole while you wait. read more

Excellent Excellent Excellent! Visited this restaurant in early October with family in from out of town. It was recommended by several neighbors as well. The ambiance is beautiful inside and out. It was a gorgeous night and the views were spectacular. The food both in presentation and taste was outstanding. The service, we wanted for nothing! It was a bit pricey for my budget however for special occasions, "priceless". Highly recommend! read more

Great food and very attentive staff. Both entrees were perfectly sized and delicious even though they were a bit heavier than expected. Wine and beer lists were both solid and I felt that the prices reflected the quality and quantity of the food. Will definitely be back! read more

As an unapologetic aesthetic snob, I stubbornly eschewed this place for several summers on account of the schlocked out club promoter-esque fonts on their menu/collateral and the few linen-panted types I'd seen straggling out of the bar with their catch o'the day. Anyway, that 24 point Papyrus will never again keep me from the divinity that is their skillet cornbread, or the seared scallops, or several other menu items that surf a flavor wave out of their kitchen, shred through the barrel of usual Hamptons suspects crowding the dining room and shoot the pier onto my plate. Go during the week/off season for better human surroundings, and if you can pre-game at their sister restaurant, Rumba, and shuttle over on their tiki barge. (But I'd still feel a helvetica lot better if those typefaces got cleaned up ;) read more

Simply the best!! We took my mom there for her 92nd birthday! Beautiful scenery, excellent food and wonderful friendly service.

I went there for the first time last night, Saturday 29 July. Though the wait was long, we did not have reservations, the wait was around an hour and a half, but the bar staff and scenery made it worth the wait. Once we sat down, the staff was very prompt at seating us and the waitress was quick to introduce herself to my guest and myself. The waitress was outstanding, very friendly, knew what the specials were and their accommodations off the top of her head and willing gave her input to lower priced menu items that she sought out were the best. Food service was prompt and quick and the food came out hot, which is always a plus. Though the restaurant was packed, the noise level wasn't horrible, my guest and I had a conversation without screaming for feeling like it was hard to hear each other. Being our first time dining there, the manager came to our table and asked us about our experience and how we were enjoying the food and ambiance of the restaurant. Toward the end of our meal, a staff member came to our table and engaged conversation with us about the restaurant among other things, only to find out that he was one of the partners of the restaurant. I am dually impressed with the staff, the food was phenomenal, and the service was excellent. Our server was RITA, she was fantastic and easy to engage in conversation and earned a well deserved 25% tip. Please check this original restaurant out! read more

Eat the buffalo shrimp. You will love them. The ambiance of the place is awesome. It has beautiful views of the water. I would recommend stopping in and enjoying a glass of wine and a nice appetizer. I have never tried any entrée, but I'm sure they are excellent too. read more

Love CowFish! I have been here quite often, during peak and off season, and have never had a bad experience. It's a great restaurant for a date night, casual drinks at the outside bar, or group dinners/brunch. Highly recommend the Oysters Hampton and Jumbo Buffalo Shrimp as appetizers. My usual go to for an entree is the NOLA Shrimp - that sauce is insanely delicious. Last time I dined at CowFish I changed it up and got the baby back ribs and was very pleased with my choice. Service can be slow at times, but you can tell the staff are all working their tails off. My only gripe is that you used to be able to order off the full dinner menu at the bar and now you can only order off a very limited menu (just appetizers, salads, and sushi). read more

An awesome restaurant that deserves 6 stars. Had the fillet mignon with lobster tail and baked potato. Great lounge area and outside bar on a canal, they even have a barge that will sail you up the canal to their sibling restaurant rumba which is a Caribbean get away, drinks are strong and cold! Great experience with family, must go! read more

Love the food and atmosphere here. Service was great! The sushi is out of this world can't wait to go back

Amazing place, loved the food, ambiance, and service. We had the corn bread, it was amazing and liked the fact that it came on an iron skillet pan. Had the best Reuben sandwich I've ever tried. Cookie desert a la mode was very good too. The crab and shrimp salad wad good too but not my favorite. read more

The food in okay. Lacks seasoning. Everything is rather one note. The space very pleasant. I have had the grilled scallops which were not memorable. The shrimp ditto. The salads are fine. The location on the water is nice as well. The prices are not cheap so one expects more. I prefer Rumba. In a nutshell, CowFish seems to try really hard and the results come up short. read more

Food was OK, I had the ribs and my husband had the shrimp. He was served five small shrimp for $27. I ordered Southern Comfort, they didn't have that. So I ordered a chocolate martini, they couldn't make it. So I tried for Baileys and club soda. Baileys was served curdled. Finally I asked for an Absolute and cranberry, you guessed it, no Absolute. My last attempt at getting a drink? Titos cranberry and lime. I got Titos, cranberry and lemon. Don't go if you are ordering a specific drink. Very limited bar. read more

Great views. Good ambiance. Their cornbread is a must! Compared to most of the places in this region, this def one of the best. Usually long waits so come prepared to wait. For Parking there is also a long wait. The staff is super friendly. Their hummus is ok. read more

First let me start by saying we're not Hamptons regulars , However , we're out here a few times a summer and we enjoy outdoor views and a fun atmosphere. We came tonight to enjoy exactly that, an incredible view of he marina and have a fun place to eat. It was a little bit of a wait but we happened to meet Patrick one of the managers of the establishment and he was an incredible host. He recommended the buffalo shrimp which was outstanding as a Starter and the halibut special was to die for! The fish was covered in a strawberry mango salsa and a side of asparagus and rice, simple but incredible. The service was on point and had a drink ready every time a glass was empty. Patrick had this place managed to a T, it was a fun experience with an excellent meal and a great atmosphere! As a Bonus, the cookie skillet dessert that was recommended for our guest Patricia was the perfect end to a fantastic meal! Highly recommend this to anyone out of town and in town , looking for a fun dinner! Cowfish will be a regular staple for us every time my fiancé and I visit, special thanks to Patrick! read more
