Ashley the manager and her staff provide service with a smile, which I really appreciate when it's a crowded, hot & sticky summer day. Great place to have a meal and enjoy the view. Friday night at this place is worth the trip. Classic cars gather in the parking lot. Live music, bar, good food from grill, and sunsets make it a great experience. Best way to plan the trip is to arrive around 4:00pm to grab a table on the beach near where the band sets up. You can enjoy the beach and also watch the cars start pulling in. Plus the Rum Punch drink helps you unwind from the work week. Very relaxed atmosphere and everyone there is in a good mood. Went tonight with the kids great atmosphere. There was a live band, the lines for drinks weren't too long and the lobster roll was good. It can get a bit pricey though. A margarita was $15 and a glass of red wine was $10. The lobster roll was $22. Still would go back because the kid friendly atmosphere. read more

The food is mediocre and overpriced. The seating areas are not well cleaned and there was crumbs and old pieces of food everywhere, not a pleasant dining atmosphere. Came here on a Monday night with my boyfriend and had an amazing time! We just came here for drinks so I can't comment on the food. Our bartender, Leonora, made our experience so great. We meant to only come for one beer and ended up staying the whole night because of her and her energy. 100% would recommend. First time since their change of ownership. Outside atmosphere still the same, beautiful as it always was. My wife and I went on a Tuesday night to avoid the crowds we were always used to seeing. It was a nice evening and not too many people. The table and chairs randomly set up and most of the tables were dirty, pieces of previous patrons food, and the same with many chairs. It just looked really sloppy. The food seemed more expensive, and the portions were smaller. My wife returned her pasta dish along with the strands of hair woven throughout the penne. They refunded our money with no issue. We don't think this will be a summer "go to" place any longer. It's lost much of it's former cache. read more

Would not recommend the Caesar wrap unless you like having huge hard croutons in every bite (more croutons than chicken). A charming little Hamptons tradition. I can hardly imagine anything more perfect than a Long Island sunset, celebrated with the best of friends and a wicked mudslide. That was the first night of my Labor Day weekend vacation, and it was fabulous. I've been coming to this place for years. Friday nights during the summer, they host a classic car show. It's fun to stroll around with a cocktail and check out the renovated rides. They also have incredible drinks ... best mudslide EVER, and the rum punch packs a serious one. The food is mostly seafood, so I didn't really eat, but I recall it being pretty tasty from years past. They also have live music - generally playing classic tunes that everyone can sing along to. As the night wears on, people hit the dance floor. It's a blast dancing and singing with partygoers of all ages. read more

This place is perfect for what it is. You can drop in a mess after a day at the beach and enjoy fried food or seafood in the enormous outdoor seating area by the beach. I recommend going in time to catch the sunset. There's always something fun going on, whether it be a coverband or a car show. The music won't blow you away, but it's great to see people of all ages having a great time; baby boomers dancing and children playing on the beach. It's always very crowded here, but the crowd is generally happy and relaxed. Food is served from a small convienience stand style "hut" with a garishly painted nautical themed interior. Drinks are pricey. There is also a freezer with prepackaged ice cream treats like Drumsticks and ice cream sandwiches. read more

Tiki Joe's is now the new food vendor at Meschutt Beach in Hampton Bays. I wanted to check out the new peeps so I brought my son there for a late lunch today (6/8/18). The prices were good and the place was the same. I ordered a Black Bean Burger and my son Fish and Chips. The burger came out on a bun that was filled with mold. This is the place I miss the most when Summer in the Hamptons is over. In my opinion the perfect combination of my favorite things... 1. On the beach 2. Surprisingly delicious food! 3. Even more surprisingly delicious drinks! (Mudslides the best on Long Island) 4. Live music, typically a really good classic rock band 5. On Friday's only, an old car show where people come from all over to show off their classic cars. I could talk about this place forever but take a look at the 5 things and figure it out for yourself. Definitely a beach for the kids, the water is dredged, not deep at all, and very sandy. I love this beach because you don't have to "impress" anyone here. It is also great because they serve food and alcohol. The food hut isn't miles away from where you're sitting like at other beaches, so you don't have to crawl over 9023849028943 people to get there! this was a really fun place for a casual meal! so pretty and right on the bay, and the live music made for a really fun atmosphere. we were able to sit right on the sand after eating and watch the sun set, which was gorgeous. I ordered fish and chips and corn on the cob, and it wasn't half bad! Maybe not world class food, but this place has other strong suits like its live music and breathtaking views. for somewhere in the hamptons, it was very reasonably priced. also, there is an outdoor bar (although I didn't get any alcohol). finally, there is a smoothie / ice cream bar outside that was really good! delicious hard packed ice cream (with a large variety of toppings / cone options), milkshakes, tropical smoothies, and more. Leonora and Courtney are the best bartenders in town! Fast service with a smile and actually cares about their customers, they make amazing margaritas and the pour of wine is really large. The 4-star review is more about location than the food itself. The restaurant sits bayside inside the Suffolk County Park. Park admission isn't required after 5pm. You may purchase and consume alcohol on their patio. You cannot bring your own alcohol, nor may you drink alcohol on the beach. This is a great little place to get a group of friends together and watch the sunset while live music plays. The staff is always friendly but the food is nothing to rave about. The burgers are the typical frozen pre-prepared type (although compliments to the chef for being able to cook a puck to a perfect medium!) with a lonely piece of american cheese perched atop. Likewise the fries and onion rings are typical frozen fare. The hot dogs are straight out of your high school cafeteria. The lobster roll was well received. Still the food is acceptable and the location is exceptional. read more

The drink's have no alchohol in them and taste so fake for the price you pay you should at least get a good drink and the bartender was rude and not helpful. Great view, fun beach, food is average at best. For some reason they don't serve condiments with food; no lemon or cocktail sauce with oysters, no butter with the lobster. Took the poor kids working here over 30 min to refill the ketchup dispenser so our kids could eat their chicken fingers and fries. Servers delivering food search all over the beach for randomly numbered tables. Bring lots of hand sanitizer if you need to bring kids to the restroom (yuck!). read more

What a great place! If you are looking for a fun, relaxing family oriented place to go this is it. They have music seven nights a week. The food and drinks are amazing. The sunset is one of the most breath taking things you will see. If your a local you know all about these. If your visiting I would not miss out on this! The people working there are always friendly and fun and very accommodating. I come here about 2-3 nights a week! Friday night is car cruise night where there are old cars that come down and Wednesday is Mambo Loco night one of the best nights there I think. Come down and see for yourself. We vacation in Southampton for two weeks every summer and we usually try to rent a house as close as possible to Meschutt. It is a perfect beach for the kiddos and we absolutely LOVE The Beach Hut! Great food (for a great price compared to any other restaurants in the Hamptons!!!) They have great live music almost every night, beautiful sunsets, and a friendly staff. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Can't wait for summer to get here so we can make out trek out East! The menu never seems to change but it really doesn't need to, the rigatoni ala vodka is my favorite but EVERYTHING is good.
