Awesome experience, food and service were excellent. Had a wonderful chicken salad sandwich that was delicious, and grilled salmon with asparagus which was also great. French press coffee was delicious, and banana cream pie! Will definitely be back! read more

Great food! Great service! Great outdoor bar with Corn-Hole games outside! ... Even took a shuttle boat to their partnered Rhum Bar! Was awesome! would definitely go back anytime read more

My husband loves this place so we go often. Awesome setting and good service. I'm a little bored of the menu but have my go-tos (buffalo shrimp and salad). I do miss the French Dip that they used to have on the menu :( Definitely recommend! It's on the casual side so don't go expecting caviar and lobster rolls! read more

The food is very good. I had the crab cakes and baked potato. The first drink I ordered wasn't to my liking, it was too sour. The server kindly replaced it with a mojito. The mojito was good but not great. The ambiance and the outdoor are was welcoming even though it was a bit chilly. Our server didn't check up after giving us our order. We had to flag down a different server. I would go back for the food but not the service. read more

My S.o and myself always drove by this place in the summer and wanted to go in. Finally, we made a reservation. I'm so happy we did. Every single thing I ate and drank was amazing. We started with the lobster stuffed mushrooms, and I moved on to my main which was a scallop meal. Simply excellent. The cocktails complimented the food too. It was the dead of winter and it was cold, but the ambiance inside was great. I want to go back in the summer if I can, but I doubt I'll be able to get a reservation! Highly reccomend. read more

The dinner experience for my family and I at Cowfish restaurant in Hampton Bays New York, was extremely disappointing. Our food was served in a substandard fashion... cold.... with an condescending attitude from the staff that would never permit my family or friends to ever eat a meal there again. read more

Great food, great service and fantastic atmosphere. We went for lunch- we waited only about 5 min and were given a comfortable table outside. We had a few appetizers and salads, my toddler had the grilled cheese-- all was delicious. Great spot for drinks as well-- definitely have to go back for dinner! read more

Me and my family come here a lot, so it is no surprise I rate this place five stars. The property is amazing, and the food is fantastic. The staff is very nice so dont feel afraid to ask them questions. It is a good place to bring younger children because they have a pirate ship playset for them to burn of energy. So you really have to go. I can tell you that this place will forever be a favorite of mine. read more

Just wanted to thank the staff tonight at Cowfish. We had a long day in the sun and our daughter was dehydrated and fainted. It was a scary situation and the wait and managerial staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. Thank you. We really appreciated everything. Not only is the food and atmosphere outstanding, so are the people that work there. read more

Delicious food and beautiful views. We went there on a cold week night and it was packed! I can't imagine the crowd when the weather is nice. But the service and food was very good. We ordered the salmon and the prime rib and everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. read more

Delicious, amazing, great atmosphere and just all around great. Long lines in the summer and only reservations for large parties.

Omg, love this place!!! All around a positive experience all the time even during this crazy time!!! Support local businesses!!!

I have to tell you this is one of my favorite restaurants out east. GREAT drinks and the scenery and vibe is amazing. For the drinks, vibe, and scenery I give a 5/5....now for my 3/5- this is not a cheap restaurant by any means and the service does not match the price of the menu. When you go to Cowfish, you get subpar service when it should be the exact opposite! But nevertheless, it is a wonderful place to go in the summer. I just wish they would improve the service. read more

Beautiful restaurant right on the bay. Nice menu, professional service. I wish I'd have come here sooner.

Impromptu trip to the Hamptons to pick up wine at Wolffer Estates (total score their stuff is old world and just the best) and we're invited to stay over by friend in Hampton Bays. Cowfish for dinner, a wait on a Monday, a good sign. Wait was a little longer than promised but so what. Waiter was great, apps and dinner was too. Dessert - epic fail. Banana Cream Pie has bananas in it guys, not around it. See the reason is simple; warm custard reacts with bananas and multiplies the flavor causing deliciousness. Lack of Sweet coupled with dark chocolate that had no foil to compliment its own flavor profile leads to group of confused ingredients not knowing their roles. Also it was a mess (dropped?). Would I go back, a resounding yes! But I'll bring my own Pie lol. read more

Wish I could give no stars. Service was chaotic, slow and rude. Drove an hour on vacation to try this place with a group of people for a birthday party. Arrived and promptly seated with our reservation-- however-- they only do online menu viewing. Which there's minimal to no service and they didn't provide us with any wifi option. When we voiced our inability to load the menu they said we'll just take a screen shot and send it to each other when it does load. We asked about paper menus to which she said " no we'd have to throw those out if we gave them to you". Not okay. We then had our server, who introduced herself as such, gave us water but then was never to be seen again. A second server came over, still no drink order taken and just asked what we wanted to eat. We had no menus and asked for some paper ones which we eventually had found on our own at the host station!! Finally drinks were ordered and then apps. But the drinks never came and the apps came out in 2 mins as if it's all premade under a heat lamp. The cornbread was good otherwise the rest was mediocre. First round of Drinks came out after our apps were done, approx 20 mins after ordering them. Then for the meal..... RAW scallops and overcooked dry salmon. For the price the food was horrific. Two of the people from our party had GI issues later that night. Just an awful awful experience. Please avoid. They have a nice layout with outdoor seating by water but the food and service are horrific. Maybe good a drink and that's it. read more

Delicious food, fun atmosphere, kind staff. Best brunch spot. Cornbread and filet tornadas is highly recommended.

Always a great time here. Great food and ambience with a great view. Happy hour is a good deal if you're around. If not, it's still well worth it! read more

Love love love this place! And I bet it's gorgeous in the summer time. Went here for restaurant week with some friends. Food was good. Service was great. People so nice and welcoming. It's a bit loud so don't go if you're hoping to have deep conversations with anyone remotely hard of hearing. I can't wait to go back! read more

The service was great and the workers could not be nicer. The food. Not so much. Over priced and I had the blackened fish sandwich which was bland at best. The lobster roll was very salty. I won't go back. read more

We have been here many, many times and are always satisfied when we walk out the door. If you know you are going to be here, make a reservation. If you show up without you might wait a bit, but it's worth it. Upstairs is a bit more casual then the downstairs part, and outside is super fun on a nice day/evening. The fish dishes are fresh and the drinks are great. They also have a solid wine selection if that is what you are looking for to go with your food. During the summers it has a nice crowd and is a fun place to hang out even after you go elsewhere for dinner. You can also drive up in your boat, they have docks, if that's your thing! read more

The best views, service and food. The menu is always seasonal which allows for different choices on each dining experience.

Fabulous restaurant. Beautiful scenery. The service was absolutely outstanding, our server was delightful. The food is eclectic and fun, most importantly delicious. We tried the deviled eggs and Brussel sprouts appetizers they were scrumptious. We had a party of 7, every one lived their meal. read more

Service, ambiance and food were all excellent. We started with the buffalo shrimp app and had the Nola shrimp and Reuben special for entrees, after seeing the table next to us getting it. We finished with the banana cream pie. I had two home wrecker cocktails, and while I am not a fan of mango, the mango and cucumber made a delicious sweet and savory cocktail that wasn't too sweet. They were delicious! The portions were perfect, service was impeccable, and we were checked in often by servers and managers to ask how we were faring. Such a relaxing, enjoyable meal and we can't wait to go back. read more

One of the best hidden locations in the Hamptons. Although well known, it can definitely be under-appreciated from the outside. When driving by on the highway, you'd never know what paradise awaits on the inside. Their outdoor bar is incredible. It has a great atmosphere/vibe, and is beautiful. The view doesn't disappoint. They offer a boat ride to another restaurant down the bay. The food is alright. Expect to spend a lot of money. The prices are pretty high. It was $60 for 2 appetizers, and 2 drinks. Happy hour is pretty great, though! read more

I'm so sad that each time I come back here, my experience gets worse. :( Hostess: EPIC FAIL We had reservations for 7pm (party of four). The hostess told my mother-in-law that it would be another 30-35 minute wait even though we had reservations. When she was questioned about the time of our reservation, we were told "Well you'd be waiting an hour and a half if you didn't have a reservation". I don't think this was an appropriate response and her tone of voice was so disrespectful. If the reservations got backed up or a previous table took longer to leave, why not just say, "We are sorry - let me get you a drink at the bar"? Bartender: A+ We went upstairs for cocktails, which were great. I had a margarita - YUM! The bartender was friendly even though he was swamped with customers. Service / Entree - FAIL When we were seated, it was 7:40 (40 minutes past our reservation time). My husband was really in the mood for a Blue Moon, which is not offered here. So, he asked the server if they had anything similar to a Blue Moon. Her response was "I don't know" and she shrugged her shoulders. Again, a very bizarre response from a server. How about a response like this instead: "Hmm .. I'm not sure. Let me check with our bartender and I'll be back with a suggestion for you"??? Nope .. just a plain "I don't know". We asked her to check with her bartender - she returned to the table with a sample of a beer - did not know what it was called and it tasted nothing like Blue Moon. I doubt she asked the bartender. For an app, we shared the skillet corn bread and wedge salad, which are always a hit. The corn bread was good but the wedge salad tasted like it was sitting in the fridge for too long. The plate was watery and the bottom of the lettuce was soggy. :( My hubby ordered the filet mignon medium well - it arrived in two sad butterflied pieces. :( Usually a server would ask before serving a butterflied piece of meat - that is not what we asked for and the taste of the filet was not great because of it. My father in law also had a filet requested medium (it did not come butterflied, but it was pretty rare). I had a seared ahi tuna with a coconut fried rice. The kicker was - everyone was served their entrees first (three steaks) and the server said she'd be right back with mine. I waited a good 15 minutes until she came around to our side of the restaurant - saw that I did not have my entree yet and she scurried away and came back with a VERY SAD looking plate. It had to have been sitting - the tuna was lopsided on the plate and instead of coconut fried rice I had some kind of risotto and peppers. I asked her if that was the coconut fried rice and she looked at it and said, "I think so but I'll double check" when she came back about a desert order, she said "Oh yeah, that was the fried rice". Dessert - C We had the banana cream pie, which is usually a fave of mine. For some reason, there was no banana in the pie - instead, it was sliced around the plate and the pie tasted like just cream. There was also no chocolate shavings like it usually comes with. This experience has made me question what Cowfish has become. When it first opened, everything was spot on - service, drinks, entrees, etc. The beautiful location is also a huge plus. Please don't become one of those establishments that relies on the location for business - I want the old Cowfish back! read more

Love going to Cowfish! Went last night -11/4 - and as always the meals were delicious! We ordered the chowder, cornbread and Brussels sprouts for apps. Then steaks, seared tuna and lamb special. Followed by apple cobbler, banana pie and cookie skillet desserts. We all ate every bit of our meals lol sooo good. And special thanks to Nicole for being so very nice rounding out the great experience (and making excellent wine suggestions) read more

BEAUTIFUL atmosphere. There was live music, outdoor seating, and we enjoyed great service and most importantly Delicious food. We tried the filet mignon lobster, truffle sushi(this will not be forgotten) it was fantastic. Also, had the prime rib special which was HUGE. The scallops were like butter, and the tomato corn risotto it lived on was one of the most tasty we've ever had. Definitely recommend this place!! read more

Amazing service. Amazing food. Great view right on the water. Super cute atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We come here year round. Always amazing food and great service, best location. Faves: home wrecker, skillet corn bread, center cut filet with loaded baked potato (delish) . Must have the iron skillet cookie for dessert. Having the Maui wowi roll tonight for an appetizer. Cowboy roll is also amazing. Two weeks ago we started at Rumba for drinks and apps and took the Rumboat to Cowfish for more drinks and a delicious dinner. Great night at two great restaurants. Highly recommended! read more

Food is good, drinks a little pricey. Atmosphere is excellent. View of water is great. Need to try ribeye steak

Not great. Had to beg for water several times. Out of menu items but the waitress (who clearly did not want to be there) did not tell us until we went order. Is ok if there is nothing else. Overall poor service but good was not terrible. read more

I would like to give this 5 stars because of the delicious food, food service, and great vibe. The reason I want to give this one star is because we were forced to park ourselves in a nearby marina by some curly head valet. We had to walk the main road, in the dark, in heels, about 1/2 a mile to the restaurant. I don't understand this as there is valet parking that we passed, as well as other cars pulling you to it, and no one else was forced to walk. I would like to give this no stars because as we passed the valets as we were leaving, my girlfriends and I commented about how far we have to walk in heels and in the dark, and the same curly-haired valet told us "I don't give a f**k." I was mortified that he would speak to us girls this way AND that we were forced to walk, in the dark, on a main road, by ourselves. Horrible parking and valet service. Something needs to get fixed before I recommend this play to someone else. Not to mention, my girlfriend's heel broke as we were walking, and she had to walk barefoot. Horrible! read more
