Last night I went to Cow Fish for my birthday. We were greeted by the Manager Catalina who showed us around the grounds. Catalina introduced us to the outside bartender and even treated us to the first drink. Our table was comfortably situated and attentively addressed by Catalina. I would say Catalina made the entire experience very special. I would highly recommend CowFish for your special event of any kind as the food is delicious. read more

Love the food and the view not a bad seat in the house. It's summer wait times are longer than usual. The staff is great very friendly and I find they always try to be accommodating. I really enjoy dining here! read more

Ate there yesterday for lunch my wife and I had the chicken club sandwich along with the lobster stuffed mushrooms it was an hour wait for the deck so we ate inside. It was great the AC was on and the temperature was perfect. Service was outstanding!!! Food is always great we love coming here for lunch it's quiet and the scenery is awesome you don't have to go all the way east on Long Island to get great food!! read more

Cowfish - New American Near Me - Hampton Bays, New York

Just had lunch here today and outside of the picturesque scenery, our server Samantha really helped to make it a fun experience..so a big thank you to her!!! They had a guacamole special which being from So Cal was very skeptical of how good it would be but it was very flavorful. She also mentioned that their calm chowder was highly rated as best in the area..so I took her word for it..she was right..it was FANTASTIC!! I gave her a choice to bring me the Kale Salad or Brussel Sprouts salad. She brought the Brussel sprout. Who knew that you could make that taste so good!! All in all..I would highly recommend this place. read more

Great place! Took my husband here for his birthday dinner and it was amazing. Buffalo shrimp appetizer was fabulous! My husband had the cumin crusted mahi mahi, I had the north fork salad. Mojito and rum punch for drinks. We finished dinner with the banana cream pie and yumm-o!! read more

Went during restaurant week for my birthday (April) and the menu was amazing and the food was so fresh. My boyfriend and I loved the red pepper bisque. Brought family with us again that same week, everyone loved the atmosphere and food. Went again for our anniversary in January and something was lacking in the menu and food. I definitely think this restaurant thrives in certain seasons. Wouldn't go again in the winter time for sure. The service was also better the first time but overall very kind, helpful staff. The staff was setting up for what seemed like a party for the next day (moving tables around, etc.) so that kinda ruined the atmosphere a little bit. Like I said the first time was amazing so thats why I said 4 stars, would be 5 if not for the third experience. read more

Wonderful experience. Food and service were great. Very pretty views. Derrick, the general manager, gave us a tour. Can't wait to go back.

This place was great. Went on a crappy day but there was rain coverage everywhere so it didn't really matter. Place is lit up nicely at night. So the food was amazing. We had the Mowi Wowi roll which looked like nothing I've ever seen before. Been dying for a wedge salad and almost had to split it because when it came out my friends eyes lit up. She was like, I'm ordering that for Dinner. For Dinner, I had the ahi tuna with this orange "type" sauce which was off the charts... Place was kinda expensive but maybe it was the 3 bottles of wine we had... It faces the canal so you still have a nice breeze flowing almost all of the time. I wish I could of ordered dessert but was filled to the brim. read more

I came here with my boyfriend's family back in November, and loved it! The parking lot is kinda sketchy, especially at night, but don't be fooled- an excellent restaurant is back there! We had a reservation, but it was a busy Friday night, so we had to wait in the bar for a table. No problem- the bar area is gorgeous and there was a lady playing guitar and singing. They had a prix fixe menu for restaurant week- I had the butternut squash soup, the lamb bolognese and pumpkin cheesecake. All amazing! Everyone else at the table really enjoyed their dishes as well. I couldn't drink that night, but they have an awesome beer/wine/cocktail menu with a few good local wines. I'm really dying to go back when it's nice out so we can see how close we are to the water, and so I can see what their normal menu is like! But as far as restaurant week deals go, Cowfish was really awesome! read more

The setting is fabulous. The food is excellent. The prices are fair. It's more than a night out for dinner when you can settle in to a comfy couch with a view of the water and yachts afterwards. We loved the corn bread skillet, the Brussel sprouts and the lobster stuffed mushrooms. The trout was extraordinarily good. The scallops were excellent. The ribs fell off the bone and lots of flavor. Plus we added a side of the Nola shrimp. The only downside was when the server wouldn't offer a sangria to our 26 year old daughter because she left her ID at home. Then had the nerve to warn me that I couldn't offer a sip of my drink to her. Not necessary. This is a can't miss place in the Hamptons. read more

Amazing ambience and food was so delicious. We got the steak cooked perfectly , the scallops in the butter sauce melt in your mouth. The salmon slightly over cooked but the sorbet and apps (spinach dip and cornbread) made up for it !!! Definitely worth coming back!!!! read more

Best restaurant in the Hamptons. Perfect view, exceptional service, the best outside bar and it is run like a military operation (looking at you, Eric). Forget Olive Garden, when you're at Cowfish you're family! read more

I absolutely love this place. I have never eaten anything bad here and always leave satisfied. From sushi at happy hour to lunch or dinner with kids the food is amazing and the service is even better. I can't wait to try their new all you can eat brunch read more

Nice restaurant with an even better bar. Drinks are really good and the place is very nice. Views are amazing and staff is very friendly. Highly recommended read more

Disappointing service... while the food was excellent, the service was so disappointing despite how hard the friendly staff was working. We waited 45 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. We were seated in the bar next to the waitstaff station and a private room with a huge party that had many people going in and out. There was a long wait between appetizers and entrees and our side dish never showed up. Then the busboy threw soy sauce all over my husband's pants when he took the sushi dish off the table. It's a pretty spot with good energy, hard working staff, and excellent food but it was disappointing experience for us. We are from out of town so unlikely to return anyway. read more

SOOO DISAPOINTED !! Great location and views unless your sitting in the bar area for dinner, not so good. The reason i give it two stars is the MENU ! Very, no EXTREMELY LIMITED Menu !! What kind of seafood restaurant doesnt have Baked Clams, or Calamari or Clams on the half shell not even Shrimp for apps !! The choice of Entrees were lets say limited. If its the Chef that makes the menu, Cowfish should find a better Chef ! Not saying my dinner was bad, i had Salmon and it was just OK. I suggest you first check out their menu online before going, you might just change your mind unless your want to go for the water views just make sure to request anywhere to sit but the bar area. I would say now know this for next time but there will definitely not be a next time unless i hear they upgraded their menu for sure. Too bad too because it is a nice place and beautiful views, if your lucky enough to get one that is...you been warned. read more

Cowfish - Cowfish is the best - New American Near Me - Hampton Bays, New York

I went here with a few friends for one last dinner before we headed home. Have to say, money well spent. The food is very good, especially the buffalo shrimp and spinach with artichoke dip appetizers. My friend said the swordfish was "OK". The atmosphere is relatively cozy with windows overlooking the water. You can reach this place from rumba (just up the road) if you take the ferry. They have round tables so if you have a large crowd you'll be able to face each other. Huge plus IMO. I'm giving it four stars because it took a while for our food to arrive. The apps came in about 15 minutes which was good, but after we finished the apps it took about 45 minutes for the main courses to arrive. Not terrible, but not good when everyone was really hungry. Despite that, the food was well worth it. Worth the money we paid. I'd come back here next time I'm out here. read more

just an amazingly delish time! great super nice service and the place was so rustic and beautiful. we got to chill by the water while we were waiting for our table to be ready in a whole bunch of chairs they have set up facing the water. such a great time and if you don't want to valet there is parking before you pull up a short 2 min walk away! great time and totally want to go back! read more

This was a disappointing venture. When we were seated the wait staff was so busy, and there was no scan code or paper menu to review. The waitress did not know what you had for beer/ tap or otherwise. We ordered some apps, and they came out but we had no silverware, or plates, while waiting everything was cold. A few of us had burgers, fries stone cold, sent back came out when lunch was over -- all in all not a good experience. read more

A strong four star, went for lunch on Sunday. Service and atmosphere is very good. Buffalo shrimp app and scallops for the meal were very good and presented well. Will return when I'm in the area. A little tough to get to, follow the signs. read more

Just down the shore from Rumba this larger restaurant offers a more traditional dining experience with nice views of the canal being right on the water. The waits can get out of hand in the summer but there's a great outside bar and plenty of room to just hang. Also accessible by boat. Only a few docking spaces though. read more

Found ourselves heading out of the Hamptons and hungry past lunchtime. Stopped here and it was the perfect spot to hang outside at the upstairs bar, look at the beautiful view and eat burgers and have a drink. Friendly staff - great place. Wish it was closer to home! read more

"Never again" - the words I find myself saying every time I leave Cowfish. I am a local and want to see our local businesses survive, but I think my experience last night might be the nail in the coffin. These have been my last 3 experiences: Arrived at Cowfish with a party of 10. We went early and expected a long wait given the size of our party. After waiting two hours for our table, our buzzer buzzed and I immediately went to the host and said we were just closing out our tab at the bar and our party would be right over. By the time we arrived (about 7 minutes later due to waiting for the bartender to close our tab), they had given up our table. They ended up putting a table over the exhaust fan which was an awful experience. I was actually embarrassed I had taken my company here. "Never Again" ...decides to give it another shot... Went with a bunch of friends to the bar recently to grab drinks and apps. We ordered our food and drinks and sat down on some of the couches on the lawn. We kept checking on our food to see if it was ready (we had 2 hungry kids in tow) and after about an hour or so we spotted a bag sitting on the floor in the corner. We pointed that bag out to the bartender who rudely stated "how was I supposed to know your food came out." Silly me, I thought this was her job. Our food was all cold and served with a TERRIBLE attitude from the bartender. "Never Again" ...decides to give it another shot... Last night we decided to go to Cowfish. We expected the long wait, as always, so we decided to sit at the bar and eat dinner at the bar. We immediately got served a drink and ordered an app. I was excited, had my luck been turning around? We decided what we would order for dinner and politely waited for a bartender to come over. After about 30 minutes of waiting we politely said to the bartender "When you have a minute we would like to order". The same rude bartender from my last experience said "sure" and we continued to wait. Another 30 minutes passed and finally the original bartender who served us our drinks came by to help us. I am unclear if they have a system where the first person who serves you is your server, but the system doesn't work and the attitudes by the one bartender is nothing I have ever seen. We asked for our bill and left. We were there 1 full hour waiting. A couple had come in after us and sat right next to us at the bar and were served their entire dinner in the time we had the one drink and waited. The bartenders knew we were waiting, they saw we had empty drinks and chose to ignore us. ..."NEVER AGAIN"... We headed on over to Oaklands. Same great views, amazing bartenders, great food, live music. read more

The service was very lacking. They tool forever to give us our table. We asked for a table for 5, and gave us a small table for 2/4 with an extra chair (after waiting forever). We ordered and the food took 45+ min. The wedge salad was not good, very very sweet. Not recommended. read more

Cool spot. Trendy. Great back yard with nice views of the water. Large area and good for big crowds. Saw a celebrity when we were there. Food was ok, nothing to brag about, and nothing cheap but I guess it comes with the territory. Overall was a decent place for a group looking for something casual yet trendy. Would consider it again. read more

Very tasty! Great location! Great service! What a wonderful restaurant. The blacken fish sandwich was super delicious. We always like to go there when we visit the Hamptons. It is a bit pricy, but definitely worth the price. Thank you for supporting health care professionals! read more

New to the area, my husband and I chose dinner at Cowfish based off reviews and their wine list. I have a passion for wine and prefer a restaurant where I can enjoy one of my favorites. Luckily, Cowfish has a couple of my favorites to choose from. We were seated right away and our waitress was nice enough, but the entire staff seemed distracted by the large group gathering at the center of the restaurant. We found out later that it was a class reunion waiting to be seated. We started with appetizers of clam chowder and jumbo buffalo shrimp. A great start that had me thinking our entrees would be equally impressive. Unfortunately, they fell short for us. My husband chose the salmon special and I had the Cesar salad with salmon. His salmon was prepared perfectly, however mine was a bit dry and too much dressing. The delivery of our entrees is what I noticed most. They were dropped off by someone other then our waitress with little attention paid to our needs. We were nearly finished with our meals when our waitress returned to see if we needed anything else (fresh ground pepper, another round of drinks). We ordered a second round of drinks, but she couldn't find me fresh ground pepper anywhere. Our check was delivered without us even being asked if we'd like dessert or anything else. A little disappointing. We'll try again, maybe. read more
