I had a disappointing experience at Covina Donuts. I ordered a Chocolate Donut ($1.65). It's cheap, but it tastes dry and crusty. (Important: Credit Cards require a $5 minimum purchase. And there's a 3% surcharge on all card purchases.) I arrived at Covina Donuts on the weekend. Parking is plentiful since it shares the Stater Bros Market parking lot. Staff appeared tired, frustrated, and businesslike. Staff appeared annoyed throughout the entire visit. Staff worked through the motions. As mentioned, I ordered the Chocolate Donut ($1.65). It's a solid budget option, but it's not very tasty. It's sugary, but it's also dry. It's a very bland, forgettable taste. Regarding ambiance, Covina Donuts was warm and worn down. It all looked very old. There's tables to sit, but there's also plenty of black marks littered about. It wasn't the most comfortable experience. Guys let me tell you this is the best donut shop I've ever been to. I don't know what the previous reviewer was talking about I've been coming here for many years and the donuts are incredible. My husband who is not a donut fan also loves them very much. Currently I am 8 months pregnant and I crave them everyday. I spoke with the manager about the troubling review and they brought up a very good point. Somebody's bad, inaccurate review could persuade new customers not to try it. That would be a disservice to anyone who loves donuts because they would be missing out. Don't always listen to reviews the manager said, just try it for yourself. Now I think about that a lot when I look up a new restaurant or business I'm just going to try it myself and decide. I live 5 mi away from this donut shop and I pass several of them on my way there but this is my favorite. They always have fresh donuts it's very clean and they are very friendly. I have gone to other ones that are not fully stocked throughout the day and I have even seen flies. At Covina donuts I have never seen flies it is very clean. They used to only accept cash but now they take cards as well which makes me so happy because many donut shops are cash only. You can come anytime of day and the showcase is fully stocked with a large variety to pick from. These photos were taken around 2:00 p.m. on a Friday. The donuts are always fresh and soft. One of my favorite things is the size of the donuts they are huge. In addition to the great prices and delicious flavor you get a large portion. Please try it for yourself What have you got to loose? As far as aesthetics go it is a donut shop there are tables and chairs where you can hang out, nothing fancy but it's welcoming and cozy. This place is great for solid later night donuts. Great prices and no frills. My favorite here is their cherry butterfly donut, I've never had it anywhere else. I wish I took pics but I ate them all lol. There are seats inside where you can enjoy your donuts. There's so many stores that close early in the area. This place has the freshest donuts, coffee is not bad either. Service is good nothing outstanding. The only thing I will say it is not open 24/7 and their hours of operation are unknown. I've driven past there and always seen the open sign on even when closed. These are the best doughnuts. I'm not a big apple fritter fan but I tried one of theirs and it was seriously good. The French crullers are very good too. I had a cake donut (vanilla with white frosting and sprinkles) and it tasted better than any other cake donut I've tried anywhere. I went there once close to closing time around nine, I think, and they weren't as fresh as usual, but that was the only time they were less than amazing. Service is good enough. Friendliness is a hit or a miss but I've noticed that the more often I go the friendlier they are to me. They also have lottery machines, so if I'm bored, I will sometimes take a table and play scratchers while I eat my doughnuts. I highly recommend Covina Donuts to serious donut lovers but they are not open 24 hrs. so there's that. read more

I'm exceptionally impressed. There are very few donut places that hit the taste on the nose and Covina Donuts is now on my list of best donuts in town. I struggle with carbs, so I didn't taste them all. I ordered a dozen and they gave me a bakers dozen. Wasn't expecting it so that was great. Also great price for a mixed dozen. I only ate a glazed twist although it was so hard for me to resist the rest. The first bite was wonderful and every bite thereafter was better than the first. Each bite had the perfect dough to sugar ratio with the crispy edges. Soft inside, sugary outside with the perfect sized sweet glaze flakes falling onto my shirt to savor later lol. Yum. This place has ok donuts. The customer service is not nice at all. They do not say good morning or hello. They just continue their conversation in their language with eachother so its very uncomfortable. They only accept cash (um... its 2020 now) and even though we are in the middle of covid, apparently it doesn't apply to them as they allow customers to eat inside. Smh.
