I read great reviews on their famous ham jalapeno and cheese croissants plus donuts and cinnamon sugar croissants. I knew I had to swing by to snatch some of that goodness. Didn't want any FOMO in my system LOL. Got here around 9:00 AM. Shop is small with a few tables and chairs. Place was clean. Back area used for storage of inventory. Not too many customers at the time. I probably missed the morning rush. Btw, they only bake donuts once per day. When they run out, that's it! The young lady behind the counter was sweet and friendly. I think her Mom and Dad were in the back helping in the kitchen. Donut selection was pretty standard with raised and cake options. They didn't have a lot left so I just got what they had... alot of twists and rounds! My Order: 3 dozens donuts 1 dozen cinnamon sugar croissants 2 ham jalapeno and cheese croissants Here's my take on the baked goods... Their glazed twist was good, but needs a bit more glaze on top. Chocolate twist had the perfect amount of chocolate on top. Crumble cake donut was very moist and tasty. I preferred it over the crumble raised donut which is a surprise to me because I'm usually for the raised more so than the cake. The highlight was the cinnamon sugar croissants. They were SO GOOD! Light, crispy, and soft in every bite. Tasted like churros. The ladies were so generous to throw in a few cinnamon sugar croissants in each box on the house. Thank you so much for the extra sweet treat! Ham jalapeno and cheese croissants were huge. Cheesy inside with not so hot jalapenos plus delicious ham slices. Croissant was super light and flaky. I enjoyed it, but there was something slightly off with the taste. I can't pinpoint it. If you haven't given Munchkin's a try yet, now is the time to get you some tasty baked goods. Make sure to come early before they sell out! Enjoy your Munchkin's! Btw, there is a credit card service charge so bring CASH if you want to save a little moola.

There's a medium-sized lot for customers Staff is professional and respectful. Staff quickly helped me, and Staff answered my questions. Regarding ambiance, Cafe Donuts (West Covina) is perhaps one of the BEST. It's the rare donut shop that doesn't look frugal or like a convenience store. Rather, the interior is very shiny and well-decorated. The location is clean, well-ventilated, and comfortable. It's also the rare donut shop that had high-chairs for children. I also liked how napkins and hand sanitizer were plentiful on every table. Overall, Cafe Donuts (West Covina) is a great experience. The prices are slightly more pricey compared to other donut spots, but the quality and integrity easily outshines everything else. They make everything fresh daily, are family owned and operated, super hardworking and nice. I got their passion fruit green tea, croissant sando, glazed donut holes, buttermilk bar, Oreo, matcha filled, creme brulee, and tiger tail donuts to try. The passion fruit green tea was sweet, bright, fruity, had real passion fruit seeds and pulp inside but also a strong bitter green tea flave so it might not be for everyone. The croissant sando was MASSIVE and I added some smooth fatty avocado it too. The sando was filled with savory tender bacon, a juicy sausage patty, some scrambled eggs, and gooey American cheese, all on a buttery flakey croissant. Every donut was super light, fluffy, pillowy, airy, and nostalgic tasting. The donut holes had a crisp sugary glaze and so did the buttermilk bar which was more like a cake donut but still super delicate and light crumb and tasted a little Coconuty? The Oreo donut was topped with so many crunchy Oreo bits and a super sugary sweet icing. The matcha donut was covered in sugar and had a super earthy grassy fragrant whipped cream filling. The creme brulee donut had a nice crunchy sugar top and was filled with a sweet smooth cream. The tiger tail was coated with like a cinnamon almond streusel and had swirls of more cinnamon and almonds twisted in. They have this really cool deal that after 2pm if you buy a certain amount of donuts you can get some free. My faves were probably the tiger tail and creme brulee but Overall this place is pretty good.
