Donuts are fine, but my review is on them charge a "service fee" of $.50 for using your debit card. Legally they are not aloud to do that. I've tried quite a few donut shops in the area and Daily Donuts has become one of the staples. It's your classic mom and pop shop with great tasting donuts. We had a classic glaze (which was fresh from the oven), a cinnamon crumb, coconut, and an old fashioned glaze and chocolate. You know the donuts are good even when they still taste fresh the next day. The shop was actually kind of busy for a Saturday morning (which is a good sign). I still contend that this donut shop is the BEST in the San Dimas area. I have been coming here for years, and the ONLY time I've been disappointed is when they're blown out of donuts! Some of my recommendations would include their freshly-prepared cinnamon rolls, tiger tails, and jelly-filled donuts - but let's face it, folks, there's never a "bad" donut in the display case! I'm not ashamed to say I am a donut connoisseur; well my tummy is anyway! I've been all over the US scouting out the best donuts and I am shocked and pleasantly surprised to tell you that in the small town of Hesperia, Ca Daily Donuts have some of the best! My husband had work down the street from daily donuts and we were killing time before his meeting; I can't pass up a good looking donut shop so we stopped in and ordered a few to go. We indulged in a buttermilk (my favorite), Apple fritter, crueler (my husbands favorite), and a blueberry fritter. Crueler donuts though good can be dry or stale, but not here! This is the best crueler we've ever had; it was crispy and delicious on the outside and doughy on the inside. The fritters and buttermilk were pretty darn close to perfect, I'm sad we did not get to try more! Along with donuts Daily Donuts offers drinks, muffins, ice cream, and more delightful treats to devour. The inside is small and somewhat grungy but exactly what you want in a good old fashioned donut shop. You know they invest in quality ingredients and you can tell. The service was too notch; a young man helped up pick out his favorite donuts and what we would like. He was so friendly and enthusiastic, we enjoyed the friendly service that you wouldn't get at a chain store. The prices are cheap for the quality and quantity, I love that you get 7 donuts in a half dozen! Yesterday (11/01/2024) was my second time visiting this place with the hope of recreating the great experience I had in having a soft/spongy donut the first time around. And...I wasn't disappointed. I've eaten a lot of donuts. I've done the lines in LA for California Donuts, stood in line during the Donut Man frenzy in Glendora, drove to Orange County for Afters Milky Bun, and I always came back to my local spot in Pasadena, Pronto Donuts. At 11pm the old man would be making fresh glaze and rainbow sprinkle donuts, even though he was closed he would sell me a set. It was the closest thing to a Krispy Kreme experience at a mom and pop shop I ever encountered. Fast forward to this year and now that we live in San Dimas I though that Donut Club and Donut Queen were my best options. Friends, Daily Donuts is the one you want. Their cinnamon roll donut and fresh glaze donut holes are top tier. I never heard of donut holes selling out at donut shops, usually they're the item you see stacked high and a last resort at the Donut Man or Donut Club. This is not the case, you need to get yourself a dozen and re-evaluate life. How did you let yourself miss out on this gem for so long? In all seriousness this place is a slam dunk. There are at least three donut shops within a mile of where I live. The donuts here are no better or worse than the other donut shops. The reason for the five stars is I like the people here. They are friendly and personable so if I want donuts or lottery tickets I come here. As a patron I always choose the welcoming smile and friendly thank you. Never been here before but came this morning (Wednesday, September 12, 2018 6:45am). A small operation. Looks nice and clean inside though and has a decent assortment of basic donuts. Don't expect more elaborately made donuts. Go to Krispy Kreme for that. Nothing really special about this Daily Donut shop. It's pretty regular but the donuts did taste good, were fresh and I got (4) of them for $3.60 total out the door. Not a bad price considering I remember when donuts were only 15 cents each (when I was a kid in the early 70's). Getting donuts in the early morning is always better because they taste freshest early morning (6am to about 10am). After 10am they start tasting old because they've sat out for a while. Most donut shops usually make all their donuts once per day and always very early in the morning. I would come here again if passing through the area and wanting some maple bars!
