Tastee's Donut is a family mom & pop donut and bagel shop. Quite a hidden gem in the City of La Verne! Nice ambiance with inside seating. This shop is bigger than your typical donut shop. Super friendly owner who warmly greeted and welcomed me. Thank you Sir! Since it was my first time visiting, I perused down the donut and bagel lane to see what was enticing my morning bite. Got a few delights. WOW, what a cinnamon raisin bagel (toasted)! Best I have ever eaten. It was so good and delicious. Very moist and chewy. I should have bought the rest of them. I'm getting a dozen next time. You bet I will. Glazed twist and cinnamon round also made it in the bag. They were very fresh and moist. Not ultra sweet which was good. Size was adequate. Good choices! Great donuts, amazing bagel, and friendly staff + service! Definitely will return to get more cinnamon raisin bagels and other flavors. Maybe even try their bagel sandwiches. What a good alternative to Noah's or Einstein bagel! I was in the area looking for bagels and didn't want the usual in La Verne on D street. Miss Donuts and Bagels is usually out of bagels by the time I go, and for what it is, it's a little higher on the price point. Bagels and Brews is fairly the same, however, I wanted something different. Tastees, in the far north corner of the plaza, was solid! Don't know how I had overlooked them in the past. The place and the people working there were attentive and helpful. They had a stocked selection of bagels and for half a dozen at $10 I thought that was a deal compared to others. The bagels were fresh and fluffy, and tasted great. Oh, and I got some donuts as well that were also Tastee. I'll be adding Tastees to the rotation for sure. Give them a try! read more

I went in to get some donuts for my family. It was a Saturday morning around 12pm; they close at 1pm. There were about 4 people sitting down eating their breakfast and it appears their bagels/sandwiches are popular here. The donuts at first didn't look appealing, they appeared smashed in some parts, and oddly shaped in others. I know they close in an hour so getting the best looking ones was not a given. I got half a dozen donuts for $9.75 and even received an extra glazed one on the house. They tasted delicious aside from some of them looking off. I'd still come back and maybe try those sandwiches. read more

I had the ham egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a fresh made jalapeño bagel and it was absolutely amazing!! Definitely recommend this donut store They are very busy so come early for a better selection of donuts and bagels. OMG!! I went here for donuts before mountain biking. The fuel of champions! As I was eating my two French crullers, which were pretty good, I was looking at the bagels, which I figured were prepared by some other company, offsite or possibly even bought at Vons. I looked into the back of the store and there was a massive bagel oven, and I looked even closer, and there was the kettle to boil them in before baking!!! Real NY bagels!! Even though I had just eaten two donuts I went up and ordered one everything double toasted with butter. It was awesome! Chewy skin, medium density, and pretty large. Half the people were buying bagel sandwiches which two people told me were addictive. Prices were very, very fair, I would even say moderate for the quality of the food. I will be back! read more

The donuts taste too oily and the customer service needs major improvement. I've been there twice. The first time I wasn't impressed with their donuts, but decided to try a second time since it's close to home. I'm not sure if the donuts were old, but tasted too oily. The lady who may be the owner or the owner's wife was rude after she made a mistake with the money. Before I left, I asked for a business card for my wife and she gave me attitude because she thought I was going to report her because of the money mistake.
