6 churros
Ann T.

They are located in the jiffy lube lot, so plenty of parking choices. There's a taco truck by them, the best combo. Their set up seemed really clean and organized. I got the 6 churros to try them out and it's a great dessert for the night. The churros where crunchy and not too oily. Definitely hit the spot! The staff were really friendly and nice. I want to try the plantains too!

This dessert truck caught my eye. I was always getting tacos right next to it. Walking up, looked at the menu and I thought to myself that the prices were a bit high. However, since I was already committed and standing in front of the churro truck I decided to go through with it and get an order. I ordered the churro number one combo with comes with a scoop of ice cream, a syrup topping and like a regular topping. I asked them to make the churro fresh and hot and they said that they do that for every order. Got my order very quick and taking the first bite. It was instant bliss. The churros are very crispy on the outside, soft and slightly gooey on the inside and with the toppings of marshmallow and dolce de Leche, it was absolutely Amazing. The people are friendly and nice, and it looked very clean.

Decided to stop by after our taco run. Very delicious! We loved the churros and hot chocolate. Everyone was very friendly. We will be back.

First time thought it was good but ended up finding a hair wrapped around one of the churros. Big disappointment

This continues to be a local favorite! Instantly upon arriving, I love how everything is decorated…read morein this pink Paris princess style. Super cute and not something you get to see every day! I always enjoy trying out their seasonal items, so for this visit, I ended up getting the Chunky Monkey and OMG!! Immediate new favorite!! Upon the very first sip, I could taste both the banana and chocolate flavors, and they make such an amazing combo!! I also ended up trying their Raspberry Croissant, which was pretty huge. That one was alright lol. Overall, coming here is always bound to be a good time. Plus, the staff is always nice, which makes the experience even better!!

I've been coming to The French Press for a long time now, and it's usually one of my favorite…read morespots. Most of the time, everything is great, but lately, I've noticed it can be a bit of a hit or miss--I either have a wonderful experience or a really tough one. Why I keep coming back: Their food is genuinely delicious. They have really good sandwiches and so many great options if you're hungry. Also, a little insider tip: if you're feeling under the weather and want something better than a Starbucks Medicine Ball, order the Remedy Tea. It is so soothing and I highly recommend it! My recent experience: On my last visit, things felt a bit off. The staff seemed really rushed--they actually started making our drinks while we were still in the middle of ordering. Because of the rush, they missed my milk modification and the drink ended up being way too sweet, to the point where I couldn't really drink it. What saddened me most was that the cashier was pretty rude and dismissive toward us. We actually felt so uncomfortable that we didn't even want to ask for a remake, so we just headed out. I truly love the menu here and the vibe when it's "on," but I really hope the service gets back to that friendly, welcoming energy I fell in love with.

Coworker's Paradise in North Pomona! (sorry if it sounds like I'm writing a Zillow listing, but I'm…read morejust trying to get this to show up in search results if anyone else is curious LOL) OUTLETS: Plenty of outlets!!! There's a set of steps with pillows on each step with a block of about six outlets beside them, and a really comfy, sinky couch (plus an ottoman and two comfy looking armchairs and a big table in the middle) with a set of two outlets on the wall and a star shaped power strip sticking out of the ground with six outlets coming out of it. There are also regular tables and it seems like there are outlets beside them as well. WIFI: The wifi is open (no password necessary), even though they have a password listed where you pick up your food (it's just Sanctuary Coffee). I tried to use one of the locked ones (the only one that made sense), but the wifi password didn't work, so I'm not sure why they have one listed. Regardless, albeit not the fastest wifi I've ever used, it's incredibly doable. I have been working remote here for 1.5 hrs and had almost no issues. MENU: For LA, relatively cheap. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so I got the peach Italian soda, which was yummy. I believe it was about $4.89, which is not bad at all. I went to And Destroy in the Highland Park-ish area, and I believe an Italian soda with cream (cream is free here) was maybe $7-8. I'm used to paying more for drinks because the specialty (non coffee and tea) drinks are usually pricey, but this was one of the cheapest things on the menu. Also, you can claim a free pastry with your email and first name on their website (it sends you a voucher, just show the email). I got the banana bread, which was fine. I would've gotten zucchini, but it wasn't chocolate chip zucchini. ATMOSPHERE: Not too loud, the music is nice and chill and not very loud. There's cute art on the walls and homey looking lamps. It's the quintessential living room coffee shop, perhaps even rivaling Republik Coffee in Burbank in comfiness, noise level, aesthetic, and price (which is a bummer, because I likely will never be back - we just happened to be in North Pomona today, and I have no idea when we'd ever elect to drive this far again LOL). PARKING: It's in a little strip mall, so there's an actual aboveground lot with plenty of free parking (at least I think it's free, I got dropped off so I didn't pay much attention). Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking to cowork in a cozy atmosphere for relatively cheap in the North Pomona area. It checks all of my boxes except distance from home. I hope this review helps someone, because I always try to find this information on Yelp about new places to visit and it can be very difficult to find! BATHROOM: I believe there are two single person bathrooms like not stalls just one bathroom. Cute art and aesthetic inside, there are hooks on the walls for your stuff. The air dryer was not very strong and there were no paper towels or seat covers, but other than that there was a nice faucet and cute nice soap like homey soap you'd see in someone's house, and the lock worked fine.
