After a wonderful visit with family at a local restaurant, I decided to treat myself to a dessert. I initially came in, but left because I was rudely told there was no restroom. Well, I found a restroom down the street and came back to follow thru with my treat. I used the whip cream dispenser that seriously squirt all over my shoes and floor. I politely cleaned up after myself. I told the employee that I had pushed back the dispenser; in hopes to avoid this happening to someone else. She rudely explained, " that's why you have to press gently like it says!" Wow! Unbeknownst to her, I did and it squirt out horizontally. As I was leaving, I explained I was only trying to help. The lady who works there is bad vibes. Place is overpriced and has really bad service. I recently visited Granny's yogurt store for the first time with my 10-year-old. Unfortunately, our experience was less than ideal due to the behavior of the staff at the counter. When my daughter asked for a sample cup (which is industry standard) she was abruptly informed that there are no samples available, which was disappointing and unexpected. Additionally, the staff member was quite rude, which left a negative impression on us. While the yogurt itself was fine, the customer service we received did not meet our expectations. I believe that improving the manners and customer service skills of your employees would greatly enhance the overall experience for your customers. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. My God Brother & I decided to try this place out after dinner. It's located in Old Town La Verne. As soon as we walked in....we were amazed. They have everything!! & I mean everything. They have frozen yogurt, boba drinks, smoothies, slushies, etc. I wanted to try one of everything LOL. We both decided to get frozen yogurt. He got blue birthday cake? I forgot, but something blue. I think I went with cake batter (don't remember, LOL). They have a lot of add-ons to choose from. Fruit, cereal, whipped cream, gummies, cheesecake bites, fudge, etc. The one thing I wish they had though were sample cups. This is the 2nd time trying out Grannys Yogurt. The first time I was there, the service was awful. I asked the lady at the counter if they have Thai Tea and she pointed to the wall and said it's on the wall with an attitude like she hated her job. My kids wanted yogurt and I didn't feel like driving far so, decided to give this place a 2nd try. Location- Grannys Yogurt is located in downtown La Verne in the corner of D Street and 3rd Street right next to the University of La Verne. There is only street parking. Interior- The interior was very clean. The topping counter was clean and toppings were refilled to the top and looked fresh. They had hand sanitizer on every table. They also had a cute little sitting area to take Halloween pictures. Service- Again, I walked in with my kids and 2 lady were talking and restocking at the counter. They turned and looked at me without any greeting and just went about restocking. I weighed my yogurt and ordered my Thai Tea and lady just said smoothie or ice in a rude tone. It caught me off guard since Thai Tea normally does not come in a smoothie form. I told her ice and she said, "is that it?" Ok... I see the service has not changed much or at least for my experience. I did not get a welcoming feeling at all. Yogurt- There was 14 different flavors when I was there. We just got the standard cookie n cream, strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate since. The flavors we got were good. Drinks- They have a large variety of drinks from fresh squeeze juice to smoothies. They also have 2 large drink cases filled with a variety of bottle drinks. I was so dissatisfied with our visit. My daughter wanted cookies and cream and it came out black like a really off color but of course she had to still have it. All the handles were really hard to press down and it came out soooo slow that it looked like it came out watery. I added the cookie dough side and they all tasted like dry powder. Then when we went to pay for all 3 bowls it cam out to almost $19. No customer service just a look of maybe tip but I was like this experience already sucks. I always seem to be satisfied when I stop into Granny's. Perhaps its the very nice workers there? Perhaps its the great location that is right across the street from my campus? Or perhaps it is just because their drinks are straight up delicious! I am a huge fan of their Milk Tea Boba & Thai Tea Boba. Always tastes incredible and hits the spot. I grabbed one on the way to class today and it helped keep me awake for the intense lecture. I'm not leaving a 5 star review because when I was at the park enjoying my frozen yogurt with got to the bottom of it.. top has one flavor and bottom had another flavor... the bottom one tasted sour and bad. (Anyway, this was someone's license plate frame that said: Granny kick ass too! that I saw at the same day) I usually stick with yogurtland because I prefer my froyo in very dense texture, running froyo is a big NO. It has to look like it's not sweaty...(some yogurtland failed on this too). Their original tart is slightly sour than Yogurtland but the flavor is good. First time I combined original tart with peach mango and this combination was too sour. 2nd time I tried original tart with pistachio but didn't like pistachio flavor much...to be safe, sample first next time. I think some of their flavors might not be perfect. Toppings are all fresh and the whole place is very clean. They have coconut jelly that I didn't see elsewhere and they seem have more fruit choices than yogurtland. It's close by and for me who is lazy to drive another 10 mins to yogurtland in Claremont or Azusa it is a good alternative. 35c per once, same as Yogurtland I think. read more

It's definitely a local's spot because I can think of a ton of better froyo shops that easily hits the yogurt standards. The one thing that may draw crowds to Granny's is the dole whip. Not everyone can get the annual pass and not everyone can pay an arm and a leg for a one-day park hopper so people can settle for a knock-off of the dole whip here at Granny's. Large Triple Dole Whip -- It's not on their menu but you can definitely ask for it. We're talking pineapple juice with pineapple froyo and actual pineapple bits. The actual froyo is pretty thick which pales in comparison to the real Dole Whip at Disneyland. It's much more icy and doesn't easily melt in your mouth. It's probably unfair to compare almost anything to Disneyland but when you're trying to replicate a special item served only there, it's hard not to. read more

My kids walked over to Granny Yogurt for a summer treat. My 10 year old wanted to pay for her own, so while she was waiting in line to pay she ate a couple of the popping boba. The person working was very rude to her she said "if you keep eating that, I'm going to have to upcharge you for it" My daughter came out scared because she felt like the lady was aggressive in the way she said it. She didn't realize they charge by weight. My 13 year old who was with her said that the lady could have said it in a nicer way. She also felt like the person was mean in the way she scolded my daughter. Needless to say we probably won't be visiting again or at least for a long while. Old Town La Verne is really cute and charming, and places like this add to that. I love family-owned alternatives to chain shops, and this is a good dessert option. Granny's is priced around the same as the froyo chains. They also offer boba, show fluff, a few baked goods, and a large cooler of drinks. The yogurt flavors came in a good variety, and this is the only place I've seen where you can get close to a "Dole Whip" (or Dole pineapple yogurt) outside of Disneyland. Toppings are fresh and abundant, including 6 different kinds of popping boba (I love those), all the cheesecake/brownies/fruits/chocolate/candies you need, and the largest variety of syrups I've seen. I went with the Belgian Waffle yogurt with macerated strawberry topping and fresh whipped cream. Sooooo good. The only thing I didn't really like was the yogurt consistency.... some of the yogurts had granier/icier textures, when I prefer creamy, and they were pretty drippy. It is right across from University of La verne. A great location to have especially when you are craving for yogurt and you are near school. They sell yogurt, slushies, smoothies, juices, and can drinks. They have at least 10 choices on yogurt flavor. 35 cent/oz I had green apple, plain, and mint. I wanted light and refreshing :P after a long day at work and school. The green apple was a little watery, but that happens to Yogurtland sometimes so no points will be deducted. Visited this location yesterday around 5ish. There were two young girls standing at the register as my family and I walked in, neither girl looked up or bothered to great us. I selected the watermelon and it was watery; I had to empty my cup and select another flavor. I then selected plain tart and that too was watery. I just settled for a pomegranate mix; I believe it was. As we were rung up; I could not believe how rude the cashier was. Not once did she make eye contact; I had to ask for a spoon, she was so soft spoke I had to ask her to repeat the total twice, didn't say thank you or ask if I wanted my receipt.
