This is the 2nd time trying out Grannys Yogurt. The first time I was there, the service was awful. I asked the lady at the counter if they have Thai Tea and she pointed to the wall and said it's on the wall with an attitude like she hated her job. My kids wanted yogurt and I didn't feel like driving far so, decided to give this place a 2nd try. Location- Grannys Yogurt is located in downtown La Verne in the corner of D Street and 3rd Street right next to the University of La Verne. There is only street parking. Interior- The interior was very clean. The topping counter was clean and toppings were refilled to the top and looked fresh. They had hand sanitizer on every table. They also had a cute little sitting area to take Halloween pictures. Service- Again, I walked in with my kids and 2 lady were talking and restocking at the counter. They turned and looked at me without any greeting and just went about restocking. I weighed my yogurt and ordered my Thai Tea and lady just said smoothie or ice in a rude tone. It caught me off guard since Thai Tea normally does not come in a smoothie form. I told her ice and she said, "is that it?" Ok... I see the service has not changed much or at least for my experience. I did not get a welcoming feeling at all. Yogurt- There was 14 different flavors when I was there. We just got the standard cookie n cream, strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate since. The flavors we got were good. Drinks- They have a large variety of drinks from fresh squeeze juice to smoothies. They also have 2 large drink cases filled with a variety of bottle drinks. I got the Thai Tea with Boba and it was good. The boba was soft and chewy. Overall, yogurt and drink was good but they need to up their customer service game.

This place has alot of flavors to pick from. They also have alot of toppings. All the toppings look fresh and like they rotate them. I'm not leaving a 5 star review because when I was at the park enjoying my frozen yogurt with got to the bottom of it.. top has one flavor and bottom had another flavor... the bottom one tasted sour and bad. I almost went to tell them but I was to far away and forgot to call. They should check the yogurts more often.

This is my second time here. So happy it is so close to home and found this place. They have many different flavors with tons of toppings. The only thing you have to remember. Not to get greedy with the toppings because it can get heavy and pricey.

Granny kicks ass too!!! (Anyway, this was someone's license plate frame that said: Granny kick ass too! that I saw at the same day) I usually stick with yogurtland because I prefer my froyo in very dense texture, running froyo is a big NO. It has to look like it's not sweaty...(some yogurtland failed on this too). Their original tart is slightly sour than Yogurtland but the flavor is good. First time I combined original tart with peach mango and this combination was too sour. 2nd time I tried original tart with pistachio but didn't like pistachio flavor much...to be safe, sample first next time. I think some of their flavors might not be perfect. Toppings are all fresh and the whole place is very clean. They have coconut jelly that I didn't see elsewhere and they seem have more fruit choices than yogurtland. It's close by and for me who is lazy to drive another 10 mins to yogurtland in Claremont or Azusa it is a good alternative. 35c per once, same as Yogurtland I think.

    Fresh Juices menu! So good

Me and my family decided to try the Thai Tea Crème with boba, Artisan Milk Tea, and Peach Strawberry Fruit Tea. The Thai Tea Crème was delicious and creamy. The boba was soft and chewy. The Peach Strawberry Fruit Tea was refreshing and wasn't super sweet compared to other places I had try. It was perfect. The Artisan Milk Tea was yummy. I definitely would order all these drinks again and would like to try something new too. Even my family loved it! The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Superficial observation: Without seeing a sign that says it's a boba place, when you look in it…read moredoesn't appear like it'd be a place that sells food or beverages. I'm not against minimalism, but IMHO the interior could use a few touches that draw you in from the sidewalk and indicate that there's boba tea and donuts. More seriously: I really dislike giving unflattering reviews for small businesses. In this case, I hope the business sees this and maybe makes improvements. But there were a few issues of cleanliness that had me nervous. And the coffee I ordered took almost 15 mins to come out and had a really unfortunately soapy aftertaste. Cleanliness: Minimalism can be look very chic, but if your chosen aesthetic is white and gold/chrome, you've got to keep it clean. This cafe needs a good deep clean. I was grossed out to see oil and dirt smudges on the backs and seats of the white leather chairs, like no one has wiped them down on a regular basis. The panel molding on the walls looks sleek and clean from far away, but once I sat down I could see a lot of dust. The counter where you pick up your order had a lot of dirt and remnants of spilled beverages at the base. The decor adjacent to the serving area was also really dusty. The chrome garbage bin could contribute to a modern, clean look but it looks grungy and sticky. It's the lack of attention to detail in cleanliness in the front of house that made me worry about what the prep areas might also look like. Beverages: I got an Americano and a mango fruit tea with lychee. The fruit tea was delicious and the lid and straw situation is actually unique and cute. That's where we're getting the two stars from. The Americano coffee on the other hand was really disappointing. For over five dollars, I was hoping for a good quality cup of joe. Despite it not being busy, it took nearly 15 mins before I was handed a coffee in a Christmas cup (it's April so maybe that should've been my sign that they've got Christmas cups bc no one likes the coffee?) that initially tasted ok, but then finished with a really soapy aftertaste. I had 3 different people taste it--everyone agreed it had a dish soap-like aftertaste that spoiled the coffee. Normally, I might ask for a do-over since it was pretty gross. But I didn't have another 10-15 mins to risk getting another soapy coffee. I seriously feel bad calling this place out. I wanted to like it! But at the very least I hope it inspires a deep clean and more care making sure they thoroughly rinse out coffee brewing equipment after washing it. Even if I'd only gotten the yummy mango fruit tea, the cleanliness issues still would've had me distressed. So two stars for now. Sorry!

I usually hit their San Marino spot, but this location still delivered the goods. The shop's a bit small inside, but service was nice. Grabbed my ride-or-die Koan-Im Oolong Latte and paired it with a donut from my favorite donut shop like I was assembling the perfect duo for a late night snack. The tea was lightly sweetened perfectly to my liking, smooth, and clearly crafted by someone who respects tea leaves more than I respect my sleep schedule. The cloud top was basically dalgona candy foam and felt like a bonus dessert after finishing the drink. Even with a lot of people waiing, service moved fast, in & out in about 7 mins. Quality tea, speedy service, and enough creamy foam happiness to make a milestone review feel deserved!! Highly recommend!!! Now for some poetry that's inspired my 1000th review: Warm glazed memories sift through my reverie. A pink box opened in the summer of 24. Days were bleak and hollow like a bakery shelf at closing. I saw the saddest eyes, soft as powdered sugar falling. Sweet like a dalgona cloud top koan-im oolong latte, but carrying a quiet ache no frosting could hide. That summer you saved me, like the first bite of something new when you thought you'd forgotten what butterflies felt like. The season changed and you suddenly disappeared.... just an empty pink box on the counter. Only crumbs remain now, where your strawberry-glazed humor used to melt into every moment like sugar on warm dough. My heart split like a jelly donut. Still, I'm grateful as the world is as it should be. I pass by the donut shop on 66 and smile. People think it's just about donuts. But once.... a long time ago, one saved my life. I was in denial this past year and have ordered from them a few more times, always thinking that each bad order was just a one-off, but always regretting paying for - yet again - a watery, flavorless $7 drink. Alas, I think it's safe to say that this may be my last time ordering from them. When I first tried ToroTea, I was convinced this was the best milktea shop in Southern California. It really was. However, this past year, I've noticed that the quality has been on a decline. For example, I was obsessed with their popcorn milk tea. Now, (according to the last two times I've ordered it) the drink hardly tastes like tea (or milk for that matter). I fell in love with ToroTea for their tea-forward drinks, but now, I can hardly taste the tea. Sipping their drinks tastes like drinking watered down milk with a whisper of tea. I was also obsessed with the Koan-Im milk tea, but that one tastes like water down milk with a slight cardboard (not even strong) flavor (hardly taste the tea). I feel bad because the service and ambiance are great- although, you can really tell people have moved on because there are hardly any lines or anyone chilling in the shop anymore. Thanks for the memories and delicious drinks years prior; best of luck on the other locations.
