It was even to the point where I had to ask if they would be willing to make another drink (in which I would pay the difference). The barista was super friendly and made another drink for me. Warning: The organic coconut mango drink was just straight coconut milk and some mango puree. It was a tough one to drink. Luckily the barista blended that with some ice and more mango and that made the drink 10x better!

Upon receiving my order, I took a sip and already did not like it. Not only was the boba hard but there was no flavor in the drink in general. I noticed there was no egg pudding in the drink either. As advertised on the menu on the screen and the menu on the counter, the tea love milk tea comes with boba and egg pudding. I asked the brown haired cashier if there was egg pudding in the drink she said no there wasn't. The reason she gave was that I didn't ask for egg pudding in it. Then, I asked her if egg pudding is or is not included in the drink. She continues to try to tell me that I didn't ask for egg pudding. However, I didn't tell her any other modifications to my drink aside from easy boba and light ice. She starts tapping on the tablet for whatever reason and continues to tell me that if I would have asked for egg pudding then she would have put it in my drink. I asked if she could just remove the boba and put egg pudding instead since the boba was hard. She then tells me "the boba is already in the drink/cup". At this point, I'm not trying to argue but I paid $6.80 for a drink that I have always ordered and order the same way. It was disappointing to know that the cashier chose to not rectify the issue in any way.

Now the inside and tables are definitely outdated but I like how each table has an outlet and it's wide enough so you can just spread out and get some work done. The noise level isn't too loud either especially with some headphones on. Since it was a Sunday evening, I felt like it was pretty slow in the beginning but once evening hit a lot of people started coming in and a lot of people came in to sit and get work done. Most of the tables had people sitting on them with laptops out. What I liked about today is when it was slow, the cashier actually went out and wiped the tables and I felt like she did that periodically even when someone was grabbing an order to go. My friends also ordered popcorn chicken and fries and it just seems like a great snack to have while studying Wish there were more cafes like this! You handled guests like a pro, you were perceptive of your store in its entirety, and you gave us extremely fast service. As I was leaving the Glendora Market, Edwin was keeping the front up and cleaning away. And you did it all with a smile, and you have no idea how much that means to a recurring customer. More seriously: I really dislike giving unflattering reviews for small businesses. In this case, I hope the business sees this and maybe makes improvements. But there were a few issues of cleanliness that had me nervous. And the coffee I ordered took almost 15 mins to come out and had a really unfortunately soapy aftertaste. Cleanliness: Minimalism can be look very chic, but if your chosen aesthetic is white and gold/chrome, you've got to keep it clean. This cafe needs a good deep clean. I was grossed out to see oil and dirt smudges on the backs and seats of the white leather chairs, like no one has wiped them down on a regular basis. The panel molding on the walls looks sleek and clean from far away, but once I sat down I could see a lot of dust. The counter where you pick up your order had a lot of dirt and remnants of spilled beverages at the base. The decor adjacent to the serving area was also really dusty. The chrome garbage bin could contribute to a modern, clean look but it looks grungy and sticky. It's the lack of attention to detail in cleanliness in the front of house that made me worry about what the prep areas might also look like. Beverages: I got an Americano and a mango fruit tea with lychee. The fruit tea was delicious and the lid and straw situation is actually unique and cute. That's where we're getting the two stars from. The Americano coffee on the other hand was really disappointing. For over five dollars, I was hoping for a good quality cup of joe. Despite it not being busy, it took nearly 15 mins before I was handed a coffee in a Christmas cup (it's April so maybe that should've been my sign that they've got Christmas cups bc no one likes the coffee?) that initially tasted ok, but then finished with a really soapy aftertaste. I had 3 different people taste it--everyone agreed it had a dish soap-like aftertaste that spoiled the coffee. Normally, I might ask for a do-over since it was pretty gross. But I didn't have another 10-15 mins to risk getting another soapy coffee. I seriously feel bad calling this place out. I wanted to like it! But at the very least I hope it inspires a deep clean and more care making sure they thoroughly rinse out coffee brewing equipment after washing it. Even if I'd only gotten the yummy mango fruit tea, the cleanliness issues still would've had me distressed. So two stars for now. Sorry!

We unknowingly arrived at closing time, seeing this we walked back to the cafe . Instead we were welcomed / encouraged to come in by the young lady who was closing. She took our orders, made our drinks, and invited us to stay and enjoy for a little while, whereas I expected to leave as soon as we received our drinks. As before the ambience is warm and inviting - almost like visiting a friend's house. And - the cool fish tank is a bonus!!
