Passed by here several times and finally went in to check it out. The lady behind the counter was very nice and their selection was good. We really enjoyed their cream-filled chocolate donuts! This is a good place to get donuts. Cash only.

This donut shop seems to be fairly average. The stand out feature of this shop is that there are a large variety of donuts and very friendly workers. I was a little disappointed with the "ultimate croissant." It seemed deflated, a little burnt and greasy. The apple fritter was good though. There is also an interesting mix of customers here so people watching...

This is the city, It's night time, The place is empty. This shoulda been the first clue! It's dark and creepy, This shoulda been the second clue! Ordered a donut. Possibly a bear claw. Turned out to be a very dry donut. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/x7hLdxCXRs2ELOKWXQx1-g?userid=cjotiAHFSbFuvbxTWmGi1Q#dHZjnNWr34usjuv2-_oukg This was the third clue! I ordered two milks to wash this thing down. At least the milk was fresh. I Hope??? Three clues and your out!!!

Came by for one donut and walked out with a dozen was kind of late and the owner offered me a deal I couldn't refuse. The donuts were delish too!

Came by here a few nights ago because my husband just wanted to have donuts for some reason (I rarely have cravings for the deep fried sugary confection). And since we were out and about past midnight and didn't want to drive out to Donut Man (Although we should of just done that instead) we just thought we would try our luck at this place since they were still open (not all donut places are open 24 hours). Anyways, we walked in and there were 2 people sitting at a table eating a donut and drinking their coffee. There didn't seem to be much of a selection when we looked through the glass case. But we ended up getting 1 apple fritter, 1 cinnamon roll looking donut and another donut with icing and chopped nuts on top. These donuts were pretty greasy. Now donuts are deep fried, so they aren't going to be healthy. But a good donut should NEVER taste greasy. When we drove home and I saw our white bag with large grease stains, I knew these donuts were going to be pretty heavy. I have this feeling that either the people making these donuts did not filter their oil when they fry their donuts, on a regular basis or they did not let their donuts drain long enough, thus the extra greasy taste and mouth feel left in your mouth after taking just 1 bite. Just one bite made me want to stop eating the rest, and each donut made me feel that way. I honestly, would not want to come back here and try another. But I guess the only positive about this place is that they open late (possibly 24 hours) and are pretty cheap. It only cost $3.55 for 3 donuts (2 of which were a really large size). But of course these positives are not enough to make me want to come back (by the way, this place is CASH ONLY, as with most donut places).

3:28am .. not open not open 24/7 . THAT CRAZY....

Not open 24 / 7 FYI .. saw workers there but they didn't open the door it's was kinda messed up how he called me beaner but that's ur staff ...

I come here almost every morning. The doughnuts fresh from the oven at 5am mmmmmmmmm. The service is nice. Homeless and Jehovah witnesses hang out here.

It has been years…read moresince I've known about their seasonal peach donut, I finally got to try it after 8years of missing it! When I bought the peach donut, I was expecting something like the strawberry donut where each piece would be coated well and crisp exterior when you bite. Unfortunately, the peaches fall apart and sort of 'slump' over and does not maintain a crisp fruit texture. While off-putting, the slices themselves are coated with something very pungent, I had a piece in one of my two donuts that felt like there was a sort of 'extract'-level ingredient that made it feel like it was taking away from the peach. As much as I love peaches, this one does not slap as hard as the strawberry. I give this a 5 just for the uniqueness of the donut casing and strawberries. (Also not a fan of the tiger tail, it is said to be the next best item here, but it just lacks flavor throughout the tail)

I just did a dozen mixed and had them pick them. I ended up with a glazed cinnamon roll. There was also a sugar cinnamon roll. All my coworkers agreed these were tasty donuts. However, the service and value were a major disappointment. We waited over 35 minutes for our food to arrive, which felt excessive. When the plates finally did come out, they were incomplete; the menu stated they included rice and beans, but we were only served beans and a small piece of cheese. To top it off, I ordered a simple side of one egg and ham for my son and was shocked to see a $10 charge for it on the bill. For that price and the missing components of our meal, the math just doesn't add up. While the kitchen clearly knows how to cook, the service and pricing transparency are not there. Personally, I wouldn't come back, but to each their own.

It's so fluffy!! (Important: Bring cash! There's a 50 cent fee for card.) I arrived at Azusa Donuts (Azusa) on Friday (around 7:05AM). Parking is easy. The lot is big . Staff is exceedingly personable and welcoming. "Good morning, my friend!" is a common phrase. Staff maintained a bright smile & playful attitude as sudden waves of customers poured in. Staff spoke English and Spanish. I was helped immediately. As mentioned, I enjoyed the Chocolate Heart w/ Sprinkles Donut ($2.00) and the Sugar Donut ($1.75). To my immense surprise, it all tastes very fresh. I adore how the Heart Donut's chocolate glaze comes wet and creamy; its sprinkles add a fun, light crackle. The Sugar Donut is even packed with plentiful sugar; sugar cascades down my chin with each greedy bite. Its fried batter tastes clean and fresh. These donuts are also very fluffy! "YUM!" Concerning ambiance, Azusa Donuts (Azusa) is simple and comfortable. There's a few indoor tables; however, I observed how most customers ordered to-go. It's fairly clean with shiny tables, crisp windows, and well-swept floors, but its interior is fairly generic. Azusa Donuts (Azusa) also has no customer restroom. And there's no music. This business's main sound derives from the loud, humming fridge. Fortunately, the cheerful & friendly greetings and banter from the staff helps alleviate the drab atmosphere. Overall, I found unexpected joy at Azusa Donuts (Azusa). During my visit, this spot felt like a guarded treasure by its locals. The bread was extremely dry, almost stale, and it ended up being one of those situations where nobody even wanted to take it home. At first, I thought I scored a good deal because a large rosca usually runs around $40-$50, and this one was closer to $33, but now I understand why. With something this traditional, especially something people look forward to once a year, the quality really matters, and unfortunately, this one missed the mark. I didn't try any of their other pastries, and to be fair, maybe those are better, but Rosca de Reyes is such a staple that it's hard to excuse when it's done poorly. It actually hurts to write this review because I want local bakeries to succeed, but I also feel like I need to be honest with myself and with others who might be deciding where to buy theirs. On a positive note, the staff was very kind and welcoming. The bakery itself was empty when I went, and it's tucked into the corner of a parking lot, so it's easy to miss if you don't already know it's there. I'm sure regulars know exactly where to park and how things work, but for a first visit tied to such a special tradition, the experience just didn't deliver. There wasn't really an ambience for customers other than a very busy kitchen. There was just nobody there when I went.
